Worse yet: the very young nurse practitioner already made up her mind that antibiotics were a no go before the formal request. (During intake, the person doing vitals asked what the problem was and stated antibiotics weren't prescribed unless symptoms were significantly worse and for longer. Should have walked out then.) Did you know the rate for meningitis goes up if you let strep linger for longer? You're not going to lose your license for prescribing antibiotics to a patient who has the history and all the valid reasons why. Go to your doctor. *18 hour update: Symptoms worsened overnight. Awaiting the dr now and got this email from CVS: "Causes and treatments Sinusitis usually resolves on its own within 7 to 10 days. Most cases of sinusitis are caused by viruses and cannot be treated with antibiotics. Antibiotics are only used to treat bacterial infections. Antibiotics awareness You may have used antibiotics to treat sinus issues in the past. But they can't help with viral infections. And since overuse of antibiotics can the cause drugs to be less useful over time, providers only prescribe them when necessary. You can find out more about antibiotic resistance at CDC.gov" Be your own advocate. And don't expect new medical professionals to deviate from policy when everyone alive understands that at time there's a difference in policy and reality and you can still respect both.

Just called again and went through triage just to be told they are again fully booked for days!!…read moreThey even asked if patient was homebound which he is!! He has no legs and unable to hold himself up which makes it almost impossible getting to a Dr appointment without calling an ambulance.Seems like they pick and choose which patients to see based on which insurance has highest reimbursement!!! DISPATCH HEALTH IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!! Have been unable to book an appointment on two different occasions. The portal states there is availability in my area and to call them. After calling them, I was told there was no availability for the next 48 hours. I call the very next morning as soon as they open and again, no appointments available for the next 48 hours. This company use to be great, now it is a joke!

Feeling like I had a bad flu, decided it was time to get a covid test, just to be safe. They have generally good reviews, and I loved the idea of a home visit. They arrived on time the nest day, after setting the time by phone early in the morning. Two very nice, very professional health workers, a nurse and a physicians-assistant, came to my house, did a very thorough exam, asked appropriate questions, and gave me a covid test on my front porch. They also wrote some prescriptions for me to ease the cough and other symptoms. They sent their results to my primary-care doctor, and called later to check on me and give some advice, which impressed me. They were friendly, thoughtful, and professional. And it's way better to be treated at home than to visit a clinic somewhere. Expectations were exceeded by Heather and Stephanie every step of the way. Highly recommended.
