He took it as directed and the toes got worse. We went back today. We were there for 3 hours. The women taking our information was very kind. She was shocked that we only waited for 3 hours, it's usually 5 hours since they cut down to one provider. The doctor looked at his two toes and said he needed to see a podiatrist immediately. She gave him 2 types of antibiotics and an anti fungal and that he needed to start them immediately. My son starting panicking because of how serious it was. She was sending the scipt to the CVS pharmacy at Target. I explained to her that they were already closed, to please send it to the CVS on Warren Ave in East Providence because they are open 24 hours. I went to pick up the scripts for him since it was already 9p, I waited that long because CVS never informed him that the scripts were ready. When I picked them up, there were only 2 scripts, of course the most important one had not been sent in. So now I have to waste more time getting this straightened out. Never again, complete waste of our time.

How can you close at 5PM and not take patients at 4PM? Maybe they should change their hours. Would NOT recommend this urgent care. This man could not speak to me without a cynical tone. He asked me many questions that had absolutely nothing to do with my health, or a tetanus shot; he asked about my profession, he stated that I bounce around allot in jobs, he pried into what I did at my previous job and why I left, he then made assumptions about my health insurance, when I told him he was wrong he looked at me like I was an idiot and told me to "listen carefully this time" and then repeated himself. When he took my weight he said it loud enough for the whole office to hear and said I looked like I was that weight and he could have guessed. I'm all for casual conversation, these questions would have been fine if it was not for the cynical tones, eye rolling and better than thou additude. After taking my height he asked if he got the same height that I think I am, I told him he was off, he told me he was "close enough". After his verbal questionnaire I finally received my tetanus shot. Only to find a few days later when my bill arrives that he received $120 from me to ridicule my personal life. They charged me this money not for the shot but for the doctors visit. This man was paid over $100 to get information from the that I could have filled out on a piece of paper and a total of 15 minutes of his time to ask me verbally and make small talk. I called their office asking about this charge and they stated the doctor must be paid for his time.

This is for the Taunton location since it's not listed in Yelp: I've had two very different…read moreexperiences at this location this summer. The first, back in June, was an excellent 5-star visit. I brought my daughter in for a burn, booked online, and was greeted by the front desk registrar -- an African American woman who could not have been kinder or more welcoming. Ian Kelly, NP, treated her and was outstanding: thorough, kind, and reassuring. I left impressed enough that when my other daughter needed urgent care today, this was the first place I thought of. Today did not go the same way. I booked a noon appointment online and checked in at the kiosk upon arrival. After about thirty minutes, a Caucasian woman with glasses, wearing a brace on one arm, got our attention by waving her other arm back and forth over her head. When we walked over, she announced loudly and rudely that if we didn't have an appointment, we needed to come to her. I let her know that we did, in fact, have an appointment. She insisted we didn't and essentially told us we hadn't made an appointment at all, at which point I told my daughter to pull up the confirmation email to show her. She then interrupted her colleague (the front desk registrar from my prior visit, who was a gem) who was mid-conversation with another patient to ask if our name was on her screen. It wasn't. She then told us we hadn't checked in properly, and I talked her through exactly what I had done on the kiosk which was the proper procedure. I told her she was welcome to go out to the kiosk to verify it herself. She then walked out to the kiosk, announced to me that my daughter's name wasn't there, and then had to backtrack when she saw that it actually was. She then went through the same process I did and lo and behold - it was a technical issue with the kiosk. Instead of an apology or, at the very least, a change in her tone, her response was to repeat several times that the kiosk isn't registration's responsibility and none of this was her fault. No one had said it was, but it certainly wasn't ours -- which I told her. Her offer was to restart us a walk-in and for us to have to wait another thirty minutes. I told her we'd go somewhere else. As we got up to leave, she told us to have a "luuuuuvley day" in the snarkiest voice she could muster up. The kiosk failure wasn't her doing. The way she treated and spoke to us was. The woman who checked us in in June was working right next to her. If we'd gotten her again, I know this would have gone a whole lot differently. People come to urgent care sick, hurt, and already stressed - they should not also have to absorb this kind of behavior and treatment. Southcoast should look at why kiosk check-ins aren't populating on the registration screens, and how the front desk handles it when they don't. Clearly, she hasn't been trained for this situation. Or maybe she just gets a kick out of treating people this way.

Well it is currently 3:40 and I have yet to be seen by the doctor and my husband is still here waiting. I understand covid makes things a little slower, but this is unacceptable! I've thought about switching Drs for a while now but this has solidified my decision. Unacceptable to keep a patient waiting almost 45 minutes and my poor husband who has been sitting here since 2pm (it's currently 3:45).
