We then had a little wait until the doctor came in and my son was not having it and was crying loud enough to be heard the room over. I finally got him calmed, and when Dr. Trinh came in he approached tactfully as he knew he had just recovered from the big melt down. Yet I was still asked why I was there and what I wanted, like what? I gave examples of medical and prescription history that should be in my file, as I've been a patient of Hartford Healthcare for decades now. Not only was there no type of bedside manner, you could just say all the vibes were wayyy off. I have never experienced such a combative provider and such defensive staff. I shudder to think what would have happened if I would have allowed this provider's gaslighting to convince me that I was ok or just need to wait it out. If you have ever experienced struggling to breathe, you know how terrifying that can feel; especially when I'm still very much struggling 3 days in on a 5 day prescription. Hartford Healthcare has lost me as a patient and if you need evidence of America's broken healthcare system, look no further than this conglomerate. My mother is disabled and uses a wheelchair so she requires special transportation. Today the service we use was running an hour late and because I go on the bus with her to get her on and off the bus, I was stuck there unable to get to my daughters school to pick her up on time unless something extraordinary happened. I was running requests on uber and lyft and no one was interested in my short ride home to get my car. I went in to tell the staff what I was going through and they all seemed like they were about to grab their keys or find some way to help me out however the manager Ewa appeared as if she were an angel and introduced herself. She was just getting done with her day and without hesitation said she would drive me to my house next to the main Harrington hospital in Southbridge so I could get my daughter and quickly return to Harrington Charlton to get my mom on the bus and home.
