The nurse practitioner that I saw (Leema Mathews) was wonderful. She spent more than 30 minutes…read morewith me, and was kind, respectful, and thorough. In addition to three tests (Flu, Covid, and Strep), which all came out negative, she checked my lungs, my lymph nodes, etc. etc. She took the time to explain (and print out) what things I had been doing that I should continue, what I should change (and why). She also wrote out a scrip for an anti-biotic, for me to use just in case the new treatments do not have any effect after two more days. She even sent a scrip to my regular pharmacy for some things that are available over the counter, in case that would help me to get them with prescription coverage. So, overall: a great experience while I was feeling pretty crummy. She was professional and empathic. Much more than at urgent care locations, such as Carbon Health. My new go to plan will be to avoid "urgent care" places and go to CVS minute clinics instead.

Just feeling a bit run down so on a whim I dropped into the CVS Minute Clinic for a quick…read morediagnostic. No waiting, step right in. Damn if it isn't COVID. A mild case but the big "19" indeed. Where did I shove my stash of masks? What previously agreed to holiday mirth will now be foregone with (almost) regrets? I can't say I'm that broken up about it. It's a Dickensian Christmas for me, sipping soup swaddled in some moth-eaten blanket. Is that Jacob Marley I hear jangling up the stairs. Humbug. Oh yeah CVS, they were swell. Five easy stars.

It's helpful to fill out paperwork online to save time onsite and get there early. I went on a…read moreweekday and there was no one ahead of me (at least visibly in the waiting area), I had a minimal wait. My throat was bothering me and I had congestion so they did their standard tests after taking my vitals and other information.. The person who did my intake was a bit short and brisk in the manner in which she spoke to me and the wait after the quick tests was a long time (understandable because there was minimal noise barrier so it sounded like someone was having an emergency-heart attack in another room so there needed to be other staff on hand), but otherwise front desk was polite and patient in answering my questions and the doctor was funny and sweet. She told me that I unfortunately had *the diagnosis* and then told me I should " go under the covers, Netflix, Doordash" and offered me a lollipop treat at the end. She also wrote a helpful doctor's note (without me even asking) so I could give to my workplace.

I made an appointment due to body aches, a low-grade fever and a severe migraine. I got to the…read moreoffice, and everyone was professional with the exception that you can hear everything in the next room, which caused me to suggest noise boxes for privacy. I see the doctor, who I explain my symptoms to, the doctor did everything within her power to assist in that moment, which included, as a precaution providing an exemption document for work for the next day. After speaking with the doctor someone comes in, then swab my nose for the Flu and Covid virus, which came back negative. It was then advised that bloodwork would be taken for further test--The lady enters the exam room with the gloves already on and fumbles around with several items before attempting to stick me---My skin is pretty much see-through so usually it's easy to get blood, but of course she misses veins in both my arms and then say, "are you afraid of needles". While annoyed, I responded as politely as possible "no I'm not, it's human nature to flinch when pain is being inflicted but I didn't move my body". Due to this, I was told I had to get my blood taken at a Lab and was provided a referral along with my discharge documentation. Once in my car I reviewed the documentation, notice there's no address on the LabCorp referral and the return-to-work letter was for the date seen. I immediately call and speak with someone about the letter and LabCorp address and was told the letter would be emailed and I could go to any LabCorp. Guess what, NO LABCORP in NJ is open on Sundays and I'm still waiting for the letter to be emailed (2days later). This visit was a waste of my time and money, googling my symptoms and suggested medications would have been a better experience. I patiently waited for my symptoms to die down to ensure I wrote an honest review. Well, honestly since nothing I went to the office for was addressed, I wish I could give ZERO stars!
