Now I have gotten 2 bills for a visit over 4 months ago due to the wrong insurance being given to third party labs. When I called this office to verify our insurance they have the correct information at the front desk. I asked for the billing department and was told they will have the same information so it's a waste of time to call. I still called and got forwarded to a voicemail mid business day. These labs are getting the wrong info from somewhere but I won't know because billing doesn't answer their phone. I'll be finding another urgent care from now on. They get a 2 because the visit was mediocre and not treated as "urgent" but we still got seen.

They always lead with the happenstance that there is a long wait. However, they move as quick as they can. I did have a long wait but they were able to handle my problem quickly. Patch me up, provide me with antibiotics and pain meds, and send me in my way home. Doctors and PAs provide great recommendations and actually care about you as a whole. No racism or prejudice. The check in time/ wait time was very quick . He assisted my husband with helping me in a wheelchair and wheeling back to get x rayed. I'll note that I use a competing pharmacy, but that wasn't a problem, at all. The team is efficient and responsive. They provide good quality care and even when they are busy you get seen very quickly. There is a Harris teeter pharmacy and a target nearby which is convenient if you need supplies/medications. Street parking is sometimes tight, but there is a parking lot around the corner (if front of 7/11 and qdoba).

Went to First Call in Gambrills ( previously known as Chesapeake Ergent Care, w/same contact info) They were incredibly well run. -Open 7 days! -no appt needed -wait in-vehicle -lines are outside -Rapid & send out test -Test was not painful, just a bit uncomfortable The swab seemed to be flexible -even with a double line of 12-15 cars, it was well organized, supervised traffic director, smooth process, and a bit over an hour total time spent there ! After some of the negative stories of the process .. I was surprised.

Speaking with Kathy Frank only confirmed that this is a systemic issue. Instead of addressing the problem, I was met with an argumentative tone and told they "see 800 patients a day," as if that excuses poor communication. We're talking about a $130 bill--yet instead of clearly communicating with patients, their process appears to push accounts toward collections. That's not a one-off mistake. That's a broken system. If your credit rating matters to you be very careful this with provider. I'll be finding a better option for my family.

Beyond the terse & unhelpful tone of this text, my voicemail stated explicitly that we had walked; we had no way of getting to another urgent care, especially not that far away. My main frustration is the absence of any indication that they were closed and their failure to pick up the phone, even to put me on hold.
