Had high expectations due to the numerous positive reviews. I walked in to be seen on a Thursday morning. The front desk was fine, doing her job in having me fill out all the registration paperwork. The nurse/MA/whoever it was because she did not introduce herself was a little distant - instead of calling my name to get me seen, the greeting she had was "Are you ready?". She was doing her job, taking my vitals and asking me triage questions. The nurse practitioner who saw me was nice. She took the time to listen to my etiology. However, it took quite a while (about 20 minutes) for her to get back with me to explain my diagnosis and treatment plan. All in all, I find other urgent care facilities more efficient and friendly than this one. read more

My husband went in with chest pain and flu symptoms. Confirmed he had the flu. Initially didn't want to prescribe anything and didn't do anything for the chest pain other than get an xray if it doesn't go away. This used to be my go to place but not anymore. Two days later we were in Patient First where he was diagnosed with pneumonia as well. read more

New owners have messed this place up! We have been to this urgent care a few times Before the new owners took over and it was a good experience. Now I have gotten 2 bills for a visit over 4 months ago due to the wrong insurance being given to third party labs. When I called this office to verify our insurance they have the correct information at the front desk. I asked for the billing department and was told they will have the same information so it's a waste of time to call. I still called and got forwarded to a voicemail mid business day. These labs are getting the wrong info from somewhere but I won't know because billing doesn't answer their phone. I'll be finding another urgent care from now on. They get a 2 because the visit was mediocre and not treated as "urgent" but we still got seen. read more

The facility is nice and clean, and the front desk staff was pleasant. Waited an hour to get called back, and then another 15 minutes in the back - dunno if that is good or bad. The negative comment that I have, and the reason I am making this review was the attitude of the assistant in the back - who stated that she's not the NP, but then proceeded to suggest that I visit my PCP. Why did I just sit here for an hour, feeling miserable? And you said you weren't the NP - so now why are you dispensing advice? When I responded that I would talk to the NP about visiting my PCP, she said 'Well, you don't have to brush me off." The NP, Ugo, was very professional and thorough. So, in summary, 4 stars for the front, 5 stars for the NP, zero stars for the tech. read more

literally one of the worst experiences at an urgent care ever. I had concerns of a URI and a UTI. despite me letting them know I had done a Covid and flu test earlier in the day at a medical facility they kept pushing me to get another one. came back negative of course. furthermore I went to give a urine in the restroom but they had no Castille wipes. The front desk proceeded to let me know I don't need them and I was being "extra". She claimed nobody uses them and in fact "they are known to cause irritation" which is why she has never used them. I asked her if she knew the definition of clean catch, had read the instructions in the restroom, or was qualified to dole out medical advice. After waiting for what seemed a long time she shouted to the CMA/ LPN to hurry up because I was refusing to leave a urine without it. She said it in the most condescending way like what I as asking for wasn't basic medical care and lab procedures to be followed. They also checked the men's room for them but "men don't need them either". They finally found one solitary wipe In the entire practice that had been clearly buried somewhere. I am sure this will come back as unreadable. This was a waste of healthcare dollars and this was only the medical concerns I have about my treatment. Their operational issues at the front are a whole other issue. I will never return. The NP did call me to apologize but it was too little too late given she heard the team member and walked away to avoid the situation in the office. read more

I won't ever go back here again, if I can help it. I went in for a broken rib and the whole staff is not empathetic at all. They don't care and are just getting a paycheck. The NP was ok/mediocre, but not friendly or concerned. The person who took the X-rays was terrible. She shouldn't be taking care of injured people in pain. She even got an attitude with me a couple of times, especially when she had to retake one X-ray by no fault of mine. I will drive further up the road next time to another urgent care center if needed. My primary care doesn't take X-rays and I didn't want to go to the emergency room. Now, let's just hope that my insurance covers most of this cost because they didn't do anything for me except prescribe pain pills. Oh, and they force you to leave your credit card on file so they can charge what they want. Will never go back, unless it's the last place on earth!! read more

I shredded my finger in an immersion blender and went to Priority Care Clinic in Severna Park. My husband sat in the car trying to cancel a doctor's appt. that he would have to miss because of this emergency. I was crying and shaking and was unable to complete the intake forms. The receptionist was wiping down chairs. There were no other patients waiting. I asked for help and she told me to get the guy in the parked car. I tried again to complete the form unsuccessfully. I also have an essential tremor which makes it very hard to write. I asked her to fill in my name and she said she didn't know how to spell my name and to get the guy who was just sitting in the car. I was still crying but met my husband as he was coming in. He filled out the form, handed it in, but a patient who had come in after I did was taken first because they had their paperwork in first. This patient had "a cough that wouldn't go away." I needed stitches and the doctor was great as was the tech in the back. I called to speak with the office manager twice but my call was never returned. So....not only does the receptionist at the office need additional training in compassion but also the office manager who ignores patient concerns needs human relations training. I hope they are never treated as they both treated me. I will never return to that clinic chain again. read more

Waited for an hour and a half before they decided to run my paperwork, just to find out there was an issue with the DOB listed on my insurance and they couldn't accept it. When I first arrived there was a woman yelling about being there for an hour and a half before they decided to help her just to wait another hour - so pretty sure I'm not the only one something similar has happened to. read more

If you are actually taken in, I can't speak for that. However, they are not upfront if cannot take you in. I walked in to try to get a covid test. This was during a time when all testing and medical facilities were overwhelmed. Other facilities were up front and said "we cannot take anyone in anymore for the day". I walk in to this facility, and without taking any info from me or asking what I'm there for, the receptionist asked me to wait outside. There were 2 others standing outside with the same situation. 1 hour later, we walked back in and asked them if they're "fully booked" and if that's why they can't take us in yet, the receptionist said that they're not caught up on their current appointments, so we'll have to wait outside. The waiting area inside seemed empty, and it was getting cold outside, so we asked if we can wait outside inside, they did not allow it. Some time later, one of us walked back in to ask if they should just come back tomorrow instead, it was then that the receptionist finally said that they're booked for the day, and that's when we left. If you're overwhelmed or busy, that's understandable, but at least be up-front about it from the beginning instead of having walk-in patients wait (and wait outside at that) and waste their time when they could just go elsewhere instead, only to be told that you're fully booked after they've waited for hours. read more

The worst experience I've ever had at an urgent-type clinic. Went in complaining of pressure in my ears. I saw (the extremely rude) PA Carol Kniola - and she did not ask me ONE SINGLE QUESTION. She walked into the room telling me it's covid and I could be irresponsibly spreading it to hundreds of people. After caving into her pressure, I took a covid test. Honestly, the way she pushed that test on me, made me feel like she was being paid a commission for it. She barely evenly glanced in my ears (as she did, she was rattling off covid statistics). I felt completely dismissed and uncared for. Waste of my time and money. Update: Later in the day, I went to another urgent care on ritchie hwy. The PA asked me questions about my symptoms, listened to me and did a thorough exam. It was Sinusitis. And BTW, my covid test Carol pushed on me, came back negative. read more

I was here again for the same health problem I had 7/19 (see my review). Carol, the P.A., entered the room and said "Welcome to Covid City". Well, I assured her I did not have Covid but needed the same meds prescribed to me in July 2019. She complied and I left satisfied. A little weird, but everyone is scared of this Covid Variant and rightly so. My PCP who I had seen the day before refused to send me out an antibiotic bc she thought I had Covid. Apparently, if you have a cough, they immediately think Covid 19. read more

I recently moved to the Severna Park area. I needed urgent care assistance and found Priority Care online. They were excellent. The front desk got me through check-in quickly. The care practitioner was knowledgeable and patiently answered all my questions. Finally, Lakia (the medical assistant) was fantastic. As she was taking my vitals, she was instrumental in making my first experience with Priority Care as pleasant as possible. read more

So condescending. Clearly I wanted information and a diagnosis if I'm willing to wait 3-5 hours, let the front desk. Had the tech or RN (don't want to diminish her training) who did testing said my throat was swollen, the PA was condescending and treated me like I was wasting her time. Front desk clearly isn't supported by management if they are answering the phone and saying the same exact thing. There's no appointment information easily available on the website, but a phone recording may take some weight off the staff who are clearly stressed and not the friendliest. It was a disappointment because I've had positive experiences previously. COVID sucks and we're all over it. Seems like if the testing component is too taxing on the personnel and resources available then don't do it. Other people who are sick and not concerned with COVID do exist and don't want to use Dr. Google and need to be seen by a professional but we can't get into the PCP and are told to go to UC. Hope the staff gets some relief over the holidays. read more

Wonderful experience bringing my 2 year old here for the first time today. The entire staff were lovely and we had no wait time (which was probably mostly luck). They diagnosed her quickly and sent the script to a nearby pharmacy for pickup. The Dr. took my number for follow up tomorrow and was also just super friendly. My husband went in to the clinic in Severna Park. He had the absolute worst experience at his appointment. The staff, Amanda in particular, was impatient, rude, condescending, and uncaring. His medical care was half-as_, not reading the medical history sheet he filled out, and after being in there for 15 minutes, they just threw some antibiotics at him which turned out to be the wrong ones. The wait is rarely more than 10 minutes and we don't have to wait days or weeks to see our primary care physician. Professional and convenient. Went for a covid test (for peace of mind, despite being vaxed, I had a scratchy throat). The staff people in the reception area were prompt and friendly and professional. They gave me the paperwork and asked me to fill it out in my car or outside to minimize exposure in the waiting room. This seems like a good idea. The wait was very short after I turned in my paperwork, maybe 5 minutes. I saw a nurse who took vitals and conducted the swab test and then I saw a practitioner (NP? PA?) Katie who was very knowledgeable and reassuring. The results came back (negative as predicted) only 48 hours later. The whole experience start to finish was great. Stay away from this place. I went to the Severna Park location to get the COVID-19 antibody test and the front desk person insisted that I get the vaccine despite the fact I got sick about 6 weeks ago and wanted to check if I had COVID-19. When I pointed out scientific facts re: natural vs. induced (vaccine) immunity they gave me an attitude from that point on with the worst customer service ever. They told me their antibody test kit was not good AFTER they took my blood for the test. If the COVID-19 antibody tests aren't good why are they using it? Also, earlier this year I went for a sinus infection check-up and they insisted on the COVID-19 testing which I refused. I didnt have COVID. I know how my body reacts each time I get sinus infections. They prescribed a higher dose of antibiotics which made me feel more sick and I had to stop taking the meds two days later. I wont come back to this place anymore. Goodbye! read more

Won't be going back there. I went in for an infected thumb and happened to have my back go out while gardening the day before. I have four fused discs in my back. It happens when the yearly shot starts to wear off. Could hardly walk without pain. What I got was a person/doctor who asked if I took Motrin for it? Did I I alternate it with Tylenol? She was so out of tune with my situation. I told her my doctor, that I had been dealing with this issue since my surgery year's ago, I knew it was due to a bulging disc acting up and giving me horrible nerve pain. My doctor had always advised me to get a trigger pain shot when it happens. NOPE, they don't even have the shot. Sent me home with a prescription for antibiotics and maybe I could call my doctor and get the appointment for the shot in my back moved up. As I explained to her, they are extremely backed up due to Covid. Useless and completely unhelpful. read more

My husband was seen by one of the providers. He was very impressed with her bedside manner and follow-up care. However, be wary about the charges. We were told, upon arrival, that with our insurance we would be charged as a PCP visit copay. At the end of the visit, the provider asked my husband to come back as a courtesy follow-up because she was concerned about an infection on his finger. He went for the follow-up and was pleased with the service. A little over 30 days later, we were blindsided by charges of more than $100. When we called to investigate, there were no apologies even after acknowledging what was said to us in the first place. We were able to eventually get $50 credited back to us but it wasn't worth the hassle. read more

I went to PA Bryan Hicks over Memorial Day weekend due to a back injury I sustained at the time . I explained to him that I had had surgery on my back in five places so after x-rays he determined that I was hurt, he prescribed 5mg pain pills called narco. The next day I called because the medication he gave me was not relieving my pain, he then instructed me to go to my primary care physician.....it's Memorial Day weekend my primary care physician is closed and this was explained to him. Needless to say I won't be visiting this office again because he obviously had proven that he could care less how I felt. If I were you I would think twice before going to this urgent care. This clinic recently opened in Severna Park so after having a reaction to a tick bite, I gave it a try! It is awesome! From the moment when I first walked in until the time I left the building. I was greeted immediately in a friendly manner. Was given paperwork, and then taken directly to an examine room! The tech who took my vitals was also very friendly and efficient! I was seen by Mason Herman, a PA-C. Mason was young, friendly and explained everything in a way that I could understand! She was very easy to talk with! I hope you do not need Urgent Care, but if you do, try Priority Care on Ritchie Hwy in the Severna Park shopping Plaza. It is located in the old Honey Baked Ham location! read more

Went in on a Sunday morning. Not the first time our family has had to visit. All staff was very prompt, courteous, and kept patients moving along. While only one PA was on duty at the time there was not a long wait and the exams was very thorough! Other PAs on staff are also very good! Clean, new facility - highly recommend. read more

If you are on a HDHP I would strongly advise not going here. Took my son in on a Saturday morning for his knee, they took an X-ray and gave a referral for an orthopedic. When I received my EOB I noticed I was charged for two medical visits on this day, one at the allowed rate of $130.35 and the other at $64.40. When I called to inquire why I was charged two medical visits, they stated one was for the 'urgent' visit. Along with the visits and X-ray my total billed was 269.47 (note, the billed amount would have been $586 without insurance). Also, you don't receive a bill from here, when you arrive you must provide a form of payment and sign a notice authorizing they can charge after EOB processed). Two days later, the same exact same visit at the orthopedic surgeon cost $200...with a specialist! (Note, the billed amount here was only $265 with no insurance). Really wish I wouldn't have wasted my time and money at Priority..basically all I got from them was a referral. And the kicker is, the referral, Orthopedic Physicians of Annapolis, has walk-in hours on Saturday's from 8-12..so wish I would have known and went here in the first place! read more
