WARNING! 0 STAR- Completely unacceptable experience I had a pedicure scheduled at 3:00 PM and a manicure at 4:00 PM. My pedicure finished around 3:30, so I stayed, ordered food, and even got waxing done while waiting. That's already me being flexible. At 4:05 PM, instead of starting my appointment, I was told it would be another 15 minutes. That would make it a 55-minute wait past my scheduled manicure time. The technician (Lee) wasn't even working on another client, he was in the back on a break. That is beyond disrespectful and a complete disregard for people's time. It gets worse. During my waxing, I politely told the technician she missed some small hairs on the side of my lip and asked if she could remove them with tweezers. I had my eyes closed and instead she reapplied wax without telling me and literally ripped off my skin. Not irritation, not redness, actual skin. It burned immediately and you could visibly see the damage. When I went to pay and declined to pay for the waxing (for obvious reasons), I was told I was "exaggerating" and that my skin was just sensitive. No accountability, no apology, just denial. Meanwhile, I'm standing there with visible injury on my face. I left without getting my manicure because waiting nearly an hour past an appointment while the technician takes a break is unacceptable. Now I'm dealing with facial skin damage that will take weeks to heal, all because of careless service and zero professionalism. When I asked for an explanation, the front desk blamed me for not confirming the price with the nail tech. Excuse me? Shouldn't the quoted price be accurate in the first place? For the record, I usually pay $130 for my nails, so the price itself wasn't the issue--the shady pricing tactics were. They tacked on extra charges without informing me, and the receptionist lied from the start about the appointment duration and cost. I had a very disappointing experience at Mira. During my manicure, the technician accidentally clipped part of the side of my actual nail. When I pointed it out, she initially insisted it was my cuticle. I literally heard the clip and had to show her the piece of nail before she finally acknowledged it. To make matters worse, I was charged $85 and told it was because my cuticles were cut. When I checked the website, cuticle cutting is listed as a $5 add-on. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was told that if the cuticles are "dry" they charge more -- something that is not stated anywhere on the website or explained beforehand. Between the technician cutting my nail, arguing about it, and the unclear pricing practices, the experience felt very unprofessional. Transparency and accountability are important, and unfortunately neither were demonstrated during my visit. read more

I am in so much pain. She filed my skin so hard it cut and stings. The actual paint doesn't go to the edge and the shape has a huge issue on the sides. She also asked if I like chrome and then when I went to pay said it's 15$ extra - I did not even ask for it and I cant believe she didn't inform me in advance after she asked me! The technician actually caused me physical pain, didn't provide the full 10-minute massage I paid for, and ruined the polish on my toes by staining it with paraffin. I arrived 5 min early and was told that the nail technician went home (because it was slow.. which doesn't surprise me because this place sucks) and that there was no one available to fix my nail, no heads up or nothing. And this is the third time that I schedule an appointment through the phone and they "forget" to add it to their schedule. Save yourself the time and frustration. I always trusted this salon for my nails to be done beautifully. However this time I have no idea what happened but the nail quality given this time was beyond poor. The gems came off day one. They didn't secure the and paint over the stickers they added this it started peeling off. I was literally able to get tweezers and peel off the stickers they placed on my nails due to no top coat. I was charged $300+ just for nails and I didn't do acrylic. All on my natural nails. I am able to get better nails for under $60 else where. They lost a customer forever! read more

I've been going to Mira for just about a year now on and off. They're pretty reliable. Clean place. Always welcoming. Always have availability for my schedule which works for me. Just recently started getting my gel manicures and pedicures with Alex and he's wonderful!!! So friendly and attentive. He's gentle and he knows his stuff. Ok maybe I'm going out on a whim by writing a review while still sitting on the massage chair waiting on Daniel to finish my pedicure BUT I feel it's warranted. I absolutely appreciate how attentive and meticulous Daniel is, while doing my full set acrylic nails he not only crushed (in a good way) the design I asked for but he was so very thoughtful in making sure the length, shape and color were exactly what I wanted. He took his time and catered to my every request. Moving on to my pedicure he didn't skip a beat to do his best. The massage chairs-OMG!!! Let me tell you I was in heaven, deff one of the best quality massage chairs I've experienced ever! The place is very trendy and spacious but it was busy! Despite it being the day before Thanksgiving I was accommodated as a walk in and seen right away. I love this place! Too bad I live in NY but now I know where to come when In MIA. The only con I have is the receptionist at the front desk. When I arrived she was on the phone and stood on the phone while telling me to pick a color. Once I did she didn't communicate that I could have a seat. I was more so just standing until I asked if I was to have a seat and wait or..... anyways it's a slight shortcoming that I can easily overlook. I finally moved over to the bay side and miraculously found my favorite nail salon. Mira is so clean, classic and quiet. I went in at 10:15 and had to come back at 11:30 because I didn't have an appointment. Let me tell you was it worth the wait. Brandon was phenomenal. I tried Japanese gel for the first time and was walked all the way through it. My nails look beautiful and natural just how I like them. Im not one to usually leave bad reviews but I've never had an experience like this. I went here two months ago to get my nails done. When the guy was putting on the nails there were moments where my fingers really hurt. Fast forward to today I've seen two different nail techs that have said they same, the guy went in so deep that they had to leave his original nail on so I wouldn't loose my natural nail. Please keep in mind they charge 200$ just for hands, the French was never done good, and they've destroyed my nails to the point it' hurts putting them in the light. NEVER COME HERE read more

The quality of the service is poor. The nail technician cut every single toe nail crooked, they were not crooked to begin with and didn't bother to file them to make them even. Furthermore the chrome manicure I received was messy and not clean. After looking at the finished result a few hours later, I noticed the sides of my finger nails are not even painted. Terrible quality and care. I came for a regular polish pedicure and the person doing my toes clearly has never done this before. It looks like a child painted my toes. Uneven, half painted, and the polish all rolled right off some of my toenails when I got home!! I've never even felt I needed to write a review on here but this is ridiculous. For $63 !!!!!! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I got a BASIC pedicure ($60) and added a paraffin wax treatment ($10). The girl that did my pedicure did not properly/completely remove the wax and painted ON TOP of the wax, which I didn't realize as I was too busy chatting with my friend and didn't look closely. By the end of day the pedicure was coming off with the wax chunks, on both feet! It was $70 plus I tipped $14, so after spending $84, I felt robbed! This is a photo of my $84 pedicure from the SAME day. It's really unbelievable! Also, some of the nails were shaped terribly; they weren't smoothly filed. I never post a bad review, but this business has shown multiple times that you're just a number. Also, for that price, I wasn't even offered tap water!
