The food was incredible and well portioned, and the service was incredibly hospitable and speedy. The atmosphere was also very cute, full of paintings and snapshots of polish landmarks and some fun signage. The Food I got schnitzel with homemade (!) fries and jy girlfriend got the Hungarian Goulash potato pancakes. We also got a Binghamton platter to share, knowing we wanted to bring home leftovers. Before being served we were also given a complimentary appetizer of fresh (very fresh) bread, polish root vegetable salad, and kielbasa, all of which were delicious and delivered in relatively small but satisfying portions as to not spoil our appetite. The schnitzel was incredible: crispy, buttery, and tender, and the fries it cake with were perfect with it as well. The dish also came with sauerkraut and beet salad which was great to pile onto the cutlet or potato pancakes as I found. The potato pancakes were wonderful: crispy and crunchy outside with a deliciously soft potato inside. The rest of the platter included meat stuffed cabbage roll with a sweet tomato sauce, kielbasa topped with bacon and sautéed onions, as well as a mix of three varieties of pierogi: mushroom and sauerkraut, mixed meat, and potato onion and cheese (my favorite). The pierogi were pillowy and delicious especially with some sour cream dipped onto it. The kielbasa was good, very crispy, and went well with the beet salad and mustard. The stuffed cabbage was a really surprisingly great addition too, the sauce was great with the steamed crunch of the cabbage and well seasoned meat filling. I also tried a bit of the goulash with potato pancake and I think that's what I will be getting next time I'm here! Additionally I highly recommend the polish apple pie, we ate it later that night at home and it was incredible with a crumbly blueberry topping The Service The staff were incredibly friendly to us and made sure to welcome us in right away. The bistro does not yet have its liquor license, so it's BYOB so we stopped to get some polish Ziwiec beers before going to dinner. Our server immediately offered us pint glasses for our beer, which we gladly took him up on. We took a while to decide, and the server made sure to bring us water and the appetizer while we made up our minds. Throughout the meal he made sure to check on us and offer us anything we might want. Conclusion This restaurant is incredible and the staff glow with enthusiasm, you can really tell they love polish food and want this place to do well. Highly recommend to anyone interested in polish food or just want a nice spot for lunch or date night.
