Let me be clear, this pizza is glorified ELLIO's frozen pizza. While visiting Johnson City i was told by acquaintances, I must have the pizza at Brozzetti's. "It's Life Changing". This is tasteless generic pizza. I could have chewed on the cardboard box with some sauce and not noticed the difference. I would travel to New Haven, Brooklyn, Chicago, even Phoenix (which i hear has excellent pizza), and I appreciate different styles like Detroit style pizza, But I'm glad I didn't make the trip to Johnson City purposely for Brozzetti's. I had to change the headcount twice, confirmed the reservation multiple times because of the size of the group, and they even moved us into the beer hall to accommodate everyone. Communication leading up to the event was excellent. Unfortunately, about 30 minutes before our reservation, I received a call that the kitchen had been shut down due to an emergency plumbing issue. I completely understand that emergencies happen and don't fault the restaurant for something outside of their control. We were offered the option to delay our reservation by 30-45 minutes while they waited for an update, but there was no guarantee the kitchen would reopen. After discussing it with the group, we had to scramble to find another location. I appreciate that someone called rather than having us show up and receive the news, but with a party of this size, I wish there had been more proactive communication, the GM thought she had called me but totally understood when dealing with an emergency. The reservation process itself was outstanding and talking with Jessica about options at their other location was great. Hopefully we can try the Factory if we are ever back in town.

I've had pizza my entire life from living downstate, MD, VA and here. This ranks high on the bad ones. Reading the reviews I was somewhat hopeful but then again, seeing reviews from here is a crap shoot as so many praise places I think are inferior and wouldn't eat there. Some seem to get praised more for length of time in business rather than on food taste, quality etc. So for my family I'm sad to say Pizza on the Plaza is a bust!
