But now a new owner has taken over and while he has spruced the store up and make it look really neat and attractive inside, the items the store stocks have changed dramatically. I would estimate that the store no longer carries about a fourth of the items I go in there to buy. Suddenly, it seems more like a convenience store than a real grocery store. Tons of junk food like french fries, desserts, sweet snacks, and fast food and less and less of real food. People who still actually cook meals find things missing when they run in for an item needed for a recipe. The frozen veggie section now is smaller with convenience food taking up the old space. It is as if the store is trying to make everyone in town fat and unhealthy. This is kind of a serious matter. I hate to have to drive a half hour to get to a healthier grocery store but we find that we have to more often now.

Tiny little lot on an angle, sometimes it's a pain in the butt to pull in to the actual pumps themselves, and there is very limited parking, so people tend to leave their vehicles at the pumps when they run into the convenient store part. Never had an issue with the attendant or with any of the machines. Definitely the most convenient place to get gas for where I'm going, definitely will return.

They can get their hands on some truly obscure and hard to find beers... even carrying all six of the Trappist beers. One whole wall is devoted to imports including some of my favorite German brews, as well as a large variety of lembic beers from Belgium. Amazingly, they carry kegs and cases of many of these. They even have a selection of specialty and rare brews including special Oktoberfest offerings and Lenten brews. They carry all of the local breweries and they have a nice selection of the smaller breweries nationwide. They do carry the standard american crap... er... favorites... but you have to look for them. This being Binghamton, I am a little shocked to hear that this is a unique store, but friends of mine have come back to the area just to go to Sams. My buddy is bringing his new wife from the Seattle area who just can't imagine such a store existing. I took my brother-in-law from D.C. recently and he practically fell to his knees.
