I spoke with the office and confirmed the appointment twice as well with instructions to enter through the garage if not husband would not be home. They even told me I would be able to pay via Venmo. Suddenly I get a text in the middle of my work day that the technician named Shane would leave in 10 min if I did not provide a response. I texted 9 minutes later and asked why he was leaving? The technician confirmed he already left after 7 minutes. He didn't even wait the full 10 minutes for my response. When I asked why he didn't enter through the garage he claimed I never said that, despite me explaining that I provided that info to the office that did the scheduling. The technician did not provide any alternative despite me explaining that I have an event tomorrow that I needed the carpets specifically cleaned for. All he did was blame ME. Even if this was simply a miscommunication from the office about the entry instructions, there were so many better ways to address this. For example, calling me like his office did if he didn't know how to enter. Staying the full 10 minutes he promised vs threatened to leave after 10 min, but really leaving after 7. As a realtor who has dealt with good and bad contractors this my friends is a bad one. Who you invite in your home matters and based on my experience thus far, these are not people I would trust to enter my home.
