My father got his first pair of hearing aids a few years ago. They never fit well, and while they helped, he still struggled a lot and it has been a strain to communicate with him. When Jake put in his new, custom-fit pair, my father's eyes watered. He couldn't believe how much he could hear. He asked me if I was using my normal speaking voice, because he was shocked that he didn't miss a word! When Jake momentarily removed them, my father said that it was like the world suddenly went silent. Jake truly puts his heart into helping people. It would be so great if all medical appointments were even half as kind, supportive, pleasant and efficient as this. My father felt comfortable with the hearing aids set at 60% of their capacity, so there is a lot of room for future adjustments. I'm so grateful that my father will now be able to interact much more than he has for the past several years. It is truly a miracle to regain something as precious as the ability to hear. I feel hopeful that his cognitive abilities will improve, now that he won't be missing so much that's going on around him. Life just got better for both of us!
