By 9:30am on Sunday we Fred and team arrived, he told us what needed to be done, we agreed on a very reasonable price and they immediately got started. They got all the rain water mopped up, set up 24 heavy duty fans and added two megawatt dehumidifiers. In 72 hours everything was bone dry and back to normal. We didn't even need to use our insurance which would have cost us more and slowed down the process. Top to Bottom Renovation, Inc. is the ONLY company you should call if you have water damage because they know what they're doing, they're reasonable and they're fast!

The contractors did miss some minor things with our playground assembly, and unfortunately the price came in higher (without notification), despite my providing the exact model and steps required for assembly at the time of soliciting. The insurability and lack of comprehensive quality guarantees is a little off putting in the end, as even other entities that exclusively use "independent contractors" such as uber, still have additional protections in place for the end customer. Overall, they were good, not perfect. The process was wonky, but worked (for the most part) in the end. I just would prefer to go directly to the contractors in the future.

I will say the two men who arrived were friendly - one a little too friendly, which I'll get to later. First, they took forever! I didn't need ANYTHING boxed up and I lived in a one bedroom, one bath apartment. I only needed the heavy furniture and some pre-boxed organizers moved. When I got the quote, it was for 3 hours. I thought that would be sufficient. It wasn't. When we arrived at the new place, I only asked for the heavy furniture to be placed in rooms. All the other organizers were put in the bottom floor for me to sort through later. Well, SIX HOURS LATER they finally finished. (For 45 minutes, one guy was taking a dump in the bathroom downstairs...) Second, they were not careful with my items or the apartment/house. They put a gash in the wall at the apartment complex I moved out of that cost me $575!!!! WTF! Additionally, they scraped both furniture and walls and floors when they moved the heavy furniture. Third, one of the guys, Nick, made me very uncomfortable with his comments. I'm a single woman who lives with her labradooodle puppy. When we got to the house and they were putting furniture in the bedroom, he looked into the bathroom and commented how nice it was that there were two sinks - one for me and one for him. When they were leaving, he stated he would be back to visit soon. WTF am I supposed to say to that?! He knows where I live and that I live alone. He made numerous other extremely unprofessional comments during the move. Lastly, they accidentally took my dolly when they left. I called an hour later when I realized it was missing and needed it to continue my move. Nick said he would bring it back in an hour and a half. He never did and then stopped responding. I contacted the owner (maybe?), Shannon, I believe. She brought it the next day, which was kind of her. I would NOT RECOMMEND using the company. Find someone else who treats your property like they would want their own treated. These guys are NOT it.

Beds, sectionals, and other furniture that had to be broken down, was broken down by the movers and reassembled at the new location. Some things I didn't know could be broken down were also broken down and reassembled. Attentive and made sure furniture and items were placed where they belonged and oriented the way we wanted it...even if the wife was wrong about it the first time, they did not hesitate to get it the right way. These guys know what they're doing. Good bang for the buck. My mother in law has also locked them down for her move into our old place and she's pretty hard to win over. One challenge is that it isn't always the same cleaners, and the quality has been inconsistent. Some visits have been great, while others have fallen short, which has been frustrating. The biggest issue, however, has been scheduling. I want to extend grace because cleaning homes is physically demanding work, and I understand that delays can happen. That said, the arrival times have consistently been several hours later than the scheduled window. If you decide to use Pilar's service, I'd recommend planning for the cleaners to arrive three or more hours after the time you're given. While we've had some positive experiences, the inconsistency in both the cleaning quality and scheduling has made it difficult to rely on the service.
