I went to Miracle Nail Spa on Saturday and got a Deluxe Spa pedicure by Sophia who is the new owner as of April 2024. This was the best pedicure I have ever received in my entire life. The decor has been brightened and giving a more up to date flare. I highly recommend giving this place a shot and booking with Sophia. She truly cares about her customers! Went yesterday and had an overall terrible experience. I'm a guy I've only had 1 mani/pedi before and I live nearby so I decided to try this place. Greeted me at the door then walked away & demanded I come over. Asked me if I wanted the massage chair on I said no and she still put the chair massager on. Didn't communicate throughout the service just kept looking at me. Like I was supposed to know what she needed. Put the hot towel my feet and I immediately told her it was too hot before she flung it once put it back on and laughed saying "you don't like hot towel". I told her "no it hurt". My feet were burning. Yet she continued. Didn't offer to buffer, polish or shine my toes just. Told me to put my socks on my wet feet and watched as I waved my feet to dry them before she offered me the flip flops. As for my hands she still threw the hot towel and ignored the fact that I told her no I don't like the hot towel again. Aggressively plucked my cuticle and after sanding my nails. Again didn't offer to shine them but said "all done". Nails now gray because she sanded them. I had to ask for clear polish when she then asked me if I wanted top coat on top. During applying polish she continued cleaning up my cuticles. Not to mention my fingers burned when she applied something after the service. And I told her but was ignored. She clearly had nicked me. Pay part of the service came and after I wanted to tip nothing I gave $5 and she seemed disappointed and suprised. As the guy there treated the regular there well I feel if you're a new customer just go elsewhere. She rushes and ignore your wants expecting a tip. So many flaws in the manipedi. read more

First time here, came for a no chip manicure before 1 pm. Nice no-chip color selection but the salon was really quiet.... Not that impressed with my service, either. I needed my nails done for my trip to Tennessee and I feel like all she did was file my nails, trim my cuticles, and do a little hand massage at the end- no buffing for an even surface, no cuticle oil at the end, just filed my nails, did my cuticles, and applied the color. My total was 35$ and I gave 40$ and said to break it so i can get change, which she must not have understood because she thanked me, took my 40$ and walked away into the back room and didn't return.. I probably will not be back, ever. Sunday July 8th update, my nail already started lifting... and I'm supposed to leave for vacation early tomorrow morning.... I will be calling and complaining, don't waste your money here. read more

Read the reviews for this place and thought this would be a great close to home nail salon, which I'm sure it would be if you were wanting anything other than dip polish. Three nails cracked not even 4 hours after I left, and all I was doing was putting dishes away.... went back the next day and it took almost an hour just to fix those 3. Broke another one today and I'm considering going to a whole different place to get them redone. At my original appointment, she cut and filed my nails way shorter than I asked and picked my cuticles till they bled. I'm now 0/3 with nail salons in the palatine area. read more

I would NOT recommend this salon if you are having Nexgen done. There is only one person that can do this and she did mine wrong. She used a regular topcoat which didn't stay in for more than a day. I paid $50 for something that lasted 1 day! read more

i wish i had found my go-to nail place but did not :T i'm not sure how my mani/pedi turned out to be $70...it wasn't thoroughly explained to me and I was too lazy to inquire more. I did get shellac on my mani and a french on both fingers and toes, but still..$70 is pricey! I went to get my nails done for my honeymoon..exciting! The white on my french manicure looks way too thick :T Again, I was being too nice and didn't say anything. My toes, which were done by someone else and they looked perfect! My first choice was to go to Nails 1st in Palatine, but they were closed Monday. Shucks! Miracle Nail Spa does have specials on Monday-Wednesday..but I guess I didn't get anything for less? After a frustrating experience at a different salon (nail 2ne1 on smith - I left a review there too!) I came to this place with little hope after reading a bad review on acrylics. But it's close to home and I decided to give it a shot. Mary did my fillings and she was so amazing and sweet and listened to my concerns. I explained to her what happened at the other place, so maybe she was just trying to win me over ;) Regardless, the experience was great. She shaped my nails beautifully and they actually look pretty natural! There was only one thing I didn't really like. Not worth removing a star because she did a great job, but once the salon started getting a bit crowded, you could tell she got nervous and started rushing what she was doing on me. She also started filing someone else's nails while I was washing my hands. So that's not great, but really amazing job overall and I'll definitely be coming back! Oh, they also give you a quick massage on your back and neck while you're getting your nails done! I really loved that! ETA: I went back this past week to get a filling. I went on a Friday afternoon and they were empty. Can I give this place 10 stars? Mary was fantastic!!!! She did an even better job than last time and I'm so happy to finally have a nail place! What a great find! I was surprised to find out they had been around for about 10 years and I had never seen them. I will be a regular patron now. They did a great job on my mom's and my mani/ped. Also, there were extremely professional, meaning the place was very clean, they were nicely dressed and their main focus was the service they were providing. After visiting Miracle Nails, I won't go back to any of the places were the nail techs look like they rolled out of bed and my service seems to be interrupting their cell phone call or chatting with the other techs. I am not high maintenence, but this level of customer service at such a reasonable price is hard to pass up. read more

This place has good service but a little rushed since it was closing time. I would appreciate someone that would take their time. I tip based on the service I receive. My bill was $60. I said to tip $2 because money is tight right now for me. Mary the owner told me to tip more to pay her nail technician so I paid $6. Mary told me next time to 15 to 20 percent more. The owner has no right on how much the customer should tip. Needless to say, I will not be returning to the nail salon. Tipping is an extra for great customer service but not a necessity or exception. Mary's attitude alienated me. Their is plenty of nail salons around the area. read more

This is a great place for a classic manicure/pedicure. In my experience, most nail places in the suburbs have been more focused on airburshed acrylics and don't do a quality job on natural nails. I like coming here because there is more of a focus on natural nails and they really take the time to pamper you and always do a great job. I usually walk in and the most I've had to wait was about 10-15 minutes. They are very clean and through, and like the nail place in my neighborhood, they give a very nice shoulder massage while your nails dry. I can usually get about 5-6 days without any major chips. Prices are very reasonable, plus Mon-Wed they have special deals, something like $12 manicures or something close to. Some funny quirks: A vet office is next door, so you can sometimes hear puppies barking and crying. Also, they offer a basket of candy next to the drying station but it's always a really hard to unwrap (with wet nails) kind, like Starburst (an exercise in patience?) They offer waxing and massages, too but I haven't done either. This is a great litte spot! read more

I went to high school in the general area, but the corner of Dundee/Quentin was a little off the beaten path for me, so I can't really remember ever seeing this location. After a breakfast with the girls, we all decided we were going to extend our date to include some mani/pedi action. Thanks to my Yelp app, we realized this place was only 1.5 miles away from where we went for breakfast! Thanks YELP! So we walked in without an appointment around 10 am on a Saturday. There was NO WAIT. It was fabulous. My friends and I either got a mani a pedi, and one of our friends got both. The women here were friendly, fast, and really knew what they were doing. I love all of the pampering my tootsies received. I personally had Linda helping me, and she did a great job, but they were all pretty wonderful! Also, as my toes were drying, I got a little 2 minute shoulder massage. WOOHOO! I would definitely return! Everything was fast and clean!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I am new to the area and have tried 4 different salons over the last 3 months. The LAST salon i had gone to cracked my toe nail and the no chip was beyond rushed and spent $70 (new no chip and a pedi)! But today I found this lovely salon. My nail tech waa Hannah. She was by far the nicest person. She isn't talkative but just very helpful and patient. I told her my horror story with my toe nail. She ended up fixing it by putting silk and glue on it so that it wouldn't peel off or cause more damage. She also took her time to clean my cuticles and wasn't rough. I also had her wax my lip, eyebrows, chin and neck. Everything cost $65 and was BY FAR the best job I've had in a long time. I'm so happy to announce that I've finally found MY salon! :) I know some people said that the mani pedi was expensive ($40) but in my opinion you get what you pay for and can't complain about quality. Daughter said that her tech was a little rough, but we're happy with the results. $30 seems a little high for a pedicure, especially when I usually tip about 30% for this ind of service. read more

At $40 for a mani/pedi, they are a bit more expensive than some places I have been in the city, but do a better job in terms of giving you a "spa" experience. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. I went here for the first time and had a dip manicure. With in 3 days I had a chipped nail and 2 that were well on their way to chipping. Big chips too. I went back on day 4 and they fixed my nails without question. By day 8, I had at least 3 other nails chip. My nails typically last 3+ weeks. I went back and complained. The woman was nice and refunded me 50%. I didn't want to waste more time fixing my nails. I give 2 stars because she did a nice job on the pre-dip procedures and the place was very clean. read more

Have been coming here for a few months and thought I found a great nail place close to home! Well went last week and the girl who does my nails no longer works here :( so I booked with Julie... had a pedi and no chip... it was terrible! My pedicure was awful she cut my nails at an angle and the paint was done very poorly. No massage like I normally had... fast and messy... when she saw other clients coming half an hour before closing she was very upset and shaking her head... rude! My no chip mani started chipping the next day.. went back and had another girl fix it... but a few days later they started chipping again. Another thing I very much dislike is talking in a different language in front of me...very disrespectful to clients! Back to driving further to my old nail place. read more

Marie, the owner is awesome!!! as well as the girl who did my nails, I forgot her name but it is a Korean girl. The service was way better than I expected. I got a no chip manicure, and it was very carefully and almost artistically done to perfection; and not only did I get the manicure, also a great back and hand massage. The place is very neat and they have a nice collection of nail polishes in different colors. Also, as a first time customer the owner was so nice to give me a face mask for free to try at home. I used to come here a lot for the great massages, but it has dropped in terms of Professionalism. Place smelled like Fish and Soy Sauce. The staff cooks their lunch and eats in a room right off the main nail salon. Incredibly stinky! Also, I'm here on a Saturday afternoon and I'm the only customer. There are 5 staff and they are talking loudly, clomping around on the floor and generally behaving like they are in their own homes and NOT a place of business. I asked one time to please quiet down. Compared to similar nail salons, Micacle out-performs. It may be a tiny bit more expensive, but the service and quality makes it worth it. Their facilities and equipment is clean and sanitary. They specialize in natural nails and don't try to upsell you at all. No pressure! Their manicures and pedicures are done well and last longer than other salons. I've had pedicures that were painful at other salons, but theirs are more pampering. They do great eyebrow waxing and it is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Micacle! read more
