Entrance: The first impression was very positive. As it was super cold outside, I appreciated that they have a double entrance, conserving the warmth inside. I checked in at the front desk and chose my color (they have a nice selection). The manicurist took my coat and hung it for me, which was a nice touch. Procedure: The mani itself was good and fairly standard, except the paraffin dip, which again was a nice added feature considering the cold winter destroying my hands like crazy. Included massage: The hand massage and shoulder massage lasted longer than at any salon that I have tried before. And it was great as well. Price: I believe the prices compare well with the salons in the area, but I am not absolutely positive. If the prices at this salon are higher, I don't think it is by much. In the days after: The result was of good quality and lasted long time, the polish did not chip and it did not lift at the edges. Cell phone policy: they have polite signs posted asking customers not to use cell phones while in the salon. Payment: they take credit cards and you can add the tip to the card as well.

Weird to me: - completely dry - no soaking of nails - I mentioned that I don't do no chip anymore cause the drills freak me out and then they took out a drill to do my cuticles - nail tech stopped halfway through and someone else finished However, I did like: - peaceful ambience - quiet - tech said I had hands like a doll - relaxing hand massage - inexpensive They let me sit for a few minutes to let my nails air dry (no dryer) but I always hate that so I left as soon as I could. Tucked away in a small strip mall, I'd never seen or heard of Spa Dabin before, but I'm so glad my friend knew of it! She used to frequent their location in Old Town before moving to the suburbs. This location is a bit on the smaller side and the layout felt a little peculiar. We were greeted warmly and given our choice of aromatherapy options for the pedicure. They had a great selection of colors in all of the standard brands. The pedicure itself was great - very relaxing and the woman who did mine went above and beyond to remove some calluses. The pedicure seats are across from a tv but if the volume was on at all, it wasn't noticeable. We were easily able to hold a conversation. When we moved to the dryers, we each got a quick but very nice neck and shoulder massage. Pricing was comparable to other nail salons in the area, and I appreciated being able to tip right from Venmo.

I am writing this over 3 weeks after having my nails done, and only now are they beginning to chip…read more No-chip manicures, despite the name, often begin to chip 2 weeks in, if not before that. Not here! When you pull up, you wouldn't expect much. It's in a safe yet deserted/depressing strip mall, but the inside is very clean and tastefully decorated. The manicurist herself was very sweet and did a wonderful job with my nails. I am truly appreciative of how long they've lasted! You can't tip using cash, from what I remember, and they offer Venmo as an option. The Venmo address is of the owner, and she joked that she would take most of the tip herself, but then she said she was kidding. It was a bit confusing, but I think she was just trying to joke around with customers! They play good music here too. If you have been wondering what Mongolian rap and pop sounds like, you do not have to wonder for much longer. (Spoiler: It sounds a lot like whatever the US makes, just in Mongolian!)
