I've been trying to decrease my monthly maintenance expenses, so I've swapped gel to basic, and I stopped by for a needed pedicure. It's a bright and clean place conveniently next to Eurofresh Market, and a good option for basic pedicures at $40. The service was done well enough, of not exactly what I am used to, but maybe a soapy scrubbing and such are good, note: suggest specifically asking for the shave of calluses if you need that, she seemed to default to just a pumice file initially. read more

Had a great experience here! Booking an appointment was super easy, and the staff were so friendly and helpful - especially when I was stuck picking a color. The pedi service includes a relaxing massage and scrub, which was a nice bonus. Everything felt clean, efficient, and relaxing. I got a new set of Gel X and within a week, my nails started lifting. One fell off within 2 weeks of having them on because they were lifting so severely which should not happen within a week or two of getting a new set. The color chipped on one of the nails within a few days too. I went to get the one that fell off fixed, and I was charged for it, even though it was due to how they were originally put on. The nail techs are very nice and did well on the design, and I have had good experiences with pedicures here, but I am very disappointed at the quality of my nails and will not be returning. read more

Joyful is a phenomenal nail salon conveniently located in a strip mall next to Eurofresh. The salon offers facials besides nail services. I had a facial that lasted over an hour and my skin looked beautiful for weeks. I regularly get no chip manicures and regular pedicures. The staff who work here are very professional and friendly. The owner is always present and the salon is bright, beautiful and very immaculate. I highly recommend this salon for all of your manicure/pedicure needs as well as for facials. read more

My first visit here was a pleasant one, and they impressed me in various ways. 1. It's spotless there. I've been too many nail salons and they definitely keep the establishment clean. The owner was regularly cleaning and I admire that dedication to giving your customers a nice environment. 2. My no-chip manicure was well done and my nail tech did a beautiful job. She was careful, took her time and was always checking in to be sure they satisfied me with the manicure. 3. The owner and staff were very accommodating to me. They were friendly and pleasant to be around. 4. The overall ambiance is great and with the excellent sound system, they have inside you can't help but want to relax. 5. Maybe I've been living under a rock because I've never seen a nail place that offered a rewards program. NOTE: You have to accumulate a certain number of manicures to get a free manicure. Had a pedicure in June. "Kelly" was the technician. It is now October and Tuesday I will go for my 2nd trip to the podiatrist for the horrible infection from her pedicure. She kept cutting the side of my toe to the point where it was stinging. When I asked her to stop because she was hurting me she stood up & walked away. The owner took over & started cutting more!!! Stay away from this place & save yourself a great deal of pain. & aggravation! read more

I went here for the first time today on a whim. The service was good enough, the workers seemed a little annoyed that I got there only a few minutes after they opened although I waited in my car until it seemed like they were ready. There was little to no conversation made which I personally love because I have to talk to people at my job all day and I like being able to just enjoy the silence. Regarding my nails, they did an EXCELLENT job!! I've had some back luck lately with no chips - people just doing a lazy job. But they really did do an amazing job with my nails. They took their time and paid attention to detail to make sure that they were perfect. I work in Hoffman Estates but today was my last day at my job out here so I probably won't be able to return as I live pretty far away but if you are in this area I would definitely recommend this place!! The inside is so cute and clean as well! Highly recommend. My only complaint is that they don't have very many gel color options compared to other places that I've been and they don't do dip or acrylic from what I saw. But if you do gel on your nails definitely check it out. read more

I went to Joyful nails for a no chip manicure and I wish that's all I got. If so this would be a five star review because my nails are lovely. My eyebrows on the other hand are horrid! There were red flags flying when I went into the room, because the lady did not remove the paper on the bed from the last customer before putting clean paper down. I had to ask her to remove the old paper and throw it away so I could lay down. The wax was hotter than any wax I've ever had on my face. I remember the lady firmly pressing the hot wax into my skin numerous times before ripping it off my face. I told her that really hurts. When she was done a think she rubbed alcohol on my lids because it burned me to my core a I grabbed my stomach and stared crying. I showed the manager what happened and she refunded my $15 but I feel like they should have given me a gift certificate or something for my pain and suffering. I woke up the next day and felt my lids burning before I opened my eyes. Ripped eyelids are extremely painful! I had to apply antibiotics several times a day. People were asking if I was alright when they saw my face. What a horrible experience! read more

I used to love this place, that is until the last two times I went, I had to wait 1 hour plus from the time of my appointment. This is a business that truly does not care about your time whatsoever. There is no reason people need to be waiting an hour and ten minutes with their feet soaking in cold water, just because one of their other regulars decided she wanted to add more services to her appointment. They are pricey as it is for being in a strip mall in the burbs, but the lack of care for their customer's time is the cherry on top. read more

I just had to do an update on this business. I went in for a regular pedicure with an appointment. My tech was Michelle. She was on her earpiece on her phone during my service and I couldn't tell If she was talking to me or talking to herself. My appointment was 2 o'clock and the service was over in less than 20 minutes.. I noticed the other technicians were taking great care with their clients feet But Michelle seemed rushed and she barely touched my calluses and cut me twice , without even apologizing. Mind you, my feet were not in bad shape to begin with. She left me to put my shoes on by myself and left me sitting in the pedi chair and disappeared. I let the owner know that my service was less than satisfactory and she said she would let Michelle know. It would have been nice to be offered a small discount for today's service, or for a future visit. This is the first time I have encountered this at this salon. I may give them one more try, but they don't seem to care if their customers are happy. read more

Salon closes at 7. I walked in at 6:23pm for a pedicure and was told "sorry-we're closing in 30 min". I said "do you have someone available and I'm happy to just have a quick one." We can't we close in almost 30 min. If that's the case they should advertise they don't have appointments 35 min before closing. Have been there multiple times and will not go back. read more

This place used to wonderful. However service has seriously declined. I'm hoping my toe does not get infected from where the technician cut it and made it bleed. In addition, their credit card machine swipe feature "has not been working for a long time" so when trying to pay with a visa gift card, I was told "This won't work. You have to pay another way". Add to it that there is a sign for a "Free gift with purchase" but then they tell you it's only for certain services. It would be nice to to advertise that as a condition of the offer. Overcharged me and the manicure chipped in less then a week. I did not authorize a tip on the card so not sure why it cost $45 for a terrible no chip. Got a decent pedicure here awhile back that's why I gave it 2 stars instead of one. If you are looking to get a no chip I recommend going elsewhere read more
