I kept trying to give Mirage a chance but my wedding dress experience was the last one. After quoting me $6000 for a wedding gown, Mehnaz asked me "How much do you weigh?" Instead of leaving after being asked a question like that, I answered her. Then she said "Well, that's a LOT of extra fabric. A lot of fabric for your frame. ZERO STARS- Yelp does not let me give zero, so unfortunately I had to give 1 star. My experience with this place was utterly terrible. I hope no one ever has to go through what they did to me. I decided to go with Mirage to design my Nikkah outfit three months prior to my event. We discussed every detail about the design I wanted, including size and color, and they assured me they could deliver exactly what I envisioned. They even had example pictures and promised the prince coat would be ready just in time for my wedding in May. Every couple of weeks, we checked in, and a month later, they told us it was ready. When we called to ask when to pick it up, they had given someone else's order to me and mixed up my order with another's. How could this happen when they had written down every single detail and had pictures ready? They then decided to start working on my order again, with about a month and a half left until my Nikkah, and reassured us that everything would be ready in time. My family and I checked in weekly, and they kept saying it was on its way from Pakistan and that we just needed to confirm the size again. With one month left, they still said it was coming, giving false arrival dates like the end of April, May 9, May 13, and May 20. My event was on May 25th, and they continued to promise it would be ready. One week before my event, they said it would be shipped and delivered by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Why did they decide to ship it one week before my event when they had months to get it here on time? They promised my family and me that the coat would be ready for my wedding on May 25th. On Friday, May 24th, the shipping indicated it would be delivered to Mirage by 3-4 pm. I went with my family, but Samar, the main owner, wasn't there, leaving all responsibility to a worker who had no involvement in making my suit. The worker said, "nothing came yet, no package," and we said, "my Nikkah is tomorrow! What will I wear?" She had no response and didn't care. Samar had told my mom that if something happened, not to worry because the suit would come on time, but if not, I could pick out a ready-made suit. I was devastated and disappointed by Mirage's unprofessionalism, lack of care, and terrible customer service. They let the process drag on until the last minute. They told us to get a ready-made suit, which a tailor would fix to my size the day before. I found a suit that matched my bride's outfit and asked the worker to get it tailored immediately. The worker called the tailor, who took my suit to be fixed. As soon as we left for the tailor shop, which was a third-party shop, the worker talked to Samar. She told her the cost of the ready-made suit and tailoring, and Samar said to cancel my order with the tailor because it was too expensive, even though it was their fault. When we called Samar and her shop to ask why they were canceling, they purposely declined our calls and didn't answer. How professional! Despite knowing my event was the next day, Samar left me without any clothes, wanting me to have nothing to wear on my wedding day. This was the worst place to go for my wedding suit shopping. It was the worst experience ever, and I would never want anyone to go through what I did. Please think two, three, four times before coming here and placing an order! Very disappointed, terrible customer service, and an awful shop. They should not be in business. read more

Low quality clothes and absolutely worst possible customer service. Stingy, unkind and rude. They are behaving like they are doing a favor to you if you ask to try on a dress. We went for bridal outfits, and as we were about to pay, they started making rude comments (imagine the vibe of a mean spirited south Asian mother in law). It was absurd. Would not recommend. 1 hour later we bought 2 outfits of MUCH MUCH higher quality at another place nearby for less, and they were very kind to us. We will be going back to the other shop for the rest of our dholki clothes and for everyone in our bridal party. My family lives in SoCal, so while visiting I decided to stop by to see if they had any outfits I would like for my wedding events and my family members. While They greeted and talked to the other patrons. Which yes I have gotten stares before but never in the 5 years I have been involved with this culture have I felt as unwelcome as I did in this store. My custom designed wedding dress from Mirage was a dream. I brought in 2 pictures for inspiration- one of a lengha that had a train and the other an Oscar de la renta wedding dress. I envisioned a fusion of the two images coming together with an antique gold finish on an off white organza fabric, and Samar and Mehnaz nailed it. From the dupatta to the dress, the fabric and intricate work to the color combinations...I felt like I was floating on clouds. I've been in this boutique so many times. Definitely the largest store/selection of Pakistani fashion in LA. I found out about a great sale via Facebook for Ramadan/eid and ended up walking out 4 outfits- for both Eids, an upcoming relative's wedding and more casual/iftar outfit. I appreciate how clean and organized the staff always is. They even have jewellery and other accessories, so if needed you can complete your entire outfit under one roof! We came in early- around 11 am and lost of Artesia was really quiet so a nice time to get shopping done. Like most desi stores, it is harder if you're plus size. Most sizes are smalls and mediums followed by large And it gets extra hard the XL plus. All in all will come back here. read more

In my quest for pure silk chiffons & brocades that are finely embroidered with impeccable attention to detail, I think I frustrated & even offended some shop owners by pointing out that I wanted quality products that last. :-/ I could tell from the elegant decor of Mirage that we were headed in the right direction but would the price be affordable? I was pleasantly surprised. Why would I want to haggle with someone over polyester net gaudy saris bedazzled with sequins when I could get pure silk crinkle chiffon delicately embroidered with silk. But my sister ordered both a custom mehndhi & shaadi outfit from Mehnaz in March and she rushed it for us and got it to us by May for a June wedding which is unheard of. Mehnaz was super responsive helpful and even let us get last minute alterations on her outfit! My sister looked amazing in both her mehndhi & shaadi reception outfits.
