It's really not easy finding a dress last minute. This store was super cool. The owner was there as well and very welcoming. We told them what our price range was and they immediately showed us some really cute stuff. They also carry some limited large sizes. The dresses we tried on we're about a size or two small but they had extra space inside the dress that the tailor was able to open the hems. They also have a tailor onsite. So they were nice enough to open up the hems to make sure we like the dress before we bought it. Because opening up the hems actually kind of alters the dress but they were willing to do it cause we didn't want to buy nothing without knowing how it would look on. So we ended up getting this beautiful Turquoise and peach Anarkali. They charge $30 to do the tailoring and it's ready within about 5 days. Now we're wedding ready! Here we come Jersey!!

I have come to know her and she always asks how I am and makes little jokes. Her sister however, is a bit mean and when she did my eyebrows, she did it way too thin, fast, and I got a bad vibe from her. You can tell right away which sister is which, and the fact that the sister I'm not fond of always tries to jump in front of the one I like to do my eyebrows makes me give this place 4 stars, not 5. If I catch the name of the lady I like, I'll post it here.

I got my wedding outfit from Mirage-- they have an amazingly huge collection of bridal clothes that cover all price and style ranges. Their regular clothes (non-bridal) are BEAUTIFUL-- Mirage is the one store I can walk into and like almost everything in the store. The price is a little high, but trust me, you really get what you pay for. I tried a lot of the bridal outfits and finally found one that was perfect-- it was red and green but Mehnaz worked with us to customize it to match the set I was going to wear into another color. It arrived well before the wedding (I live in a different state too) and was so unique and stunning that almost everyone asked me where it was from. My wedding was great, but I really think my outfit was the icing on the cake. Mehnaz even worked with us to make the groom's kulla (head turban thing) match my outfit. I definitely recommend going to Mirage if you are looking for a bridal outfit, because you will not be disappointed with the selection. And like I said, you can work with the people there to pretty much customize the bridal outfit to be exactly what you want. Also, I left a couple details of my outfit up to Mehnaz and she is such an expert on bridals that she took care of it perfectly. My bridal outfit was a long shirt with lengha, so they also made me a pajama with it (in case I ever wanted to wear it without the lengha) and even a matching hijab and purse! At the end of the day, Mirage will not disappoint no matter what you are looking for (they also have a good collections of men's clothing). It is pretty expensive, but keep in mind that even the non-bridals are designer clothes made absolutely perfectly-- and there is no way you can wear an outfit from Mirage and not look stunning. 5 stars!! (PS: The website it not at all indicative of the actual collection at Mirage-- the store has MUCH better inventory) read more

My mom has been shopping with Mirage for the past several years. I didn't appreciate how friendly and customer focused they were until my sister got married last year. We ended up doing a lot of her wedding shopping from Mirage. The prices are a bit higher but worth every penny. The staff was professional, the selection was diverse, and the quality and attention to detail was phenomenal. The outfits were tailored specifically to fit. They were very understanding and willing to change details even at the last minute. I am getting married this year and had the opportunity to shop for the wedding in Pakistan, including using top designers, and various boutiques in the US. However, based on the experience my sister had last year, I knew I wanted to shop at Mirage. My fiance and his family, as well as my family, flew in from out of state. The employees were very helpful and made sure that all of our concerns and needs were addressed, especially since we were in town for only a couple of days. The employees are well trained and made excellent suggestions in terms of personalizing styles and colors for me. They were very patient, especially since my family had differing opinions at times. It was like having a personal shopper! They were truly committed to offering me the best customer service and the highest quality clothing that was possible. We did some shopping at the Mirage boutique in 2011 and we found the staff extremely professional and helpful. I went in mirage for the first time , 2 days before eid. I told the lady to pull out the dresses for me to try on. The lady was on the phone the entire time with her family and showed me a discriminating behaviour. She didnt have anything that i was asking for such as matching dopatta for one dress, pants for the other dress and no size of the third that i wanted to try on. On top of that she didnt even offer me alteration in the store, she referred me some one else and when the other customer asked in front of me for alteration, she told her she can get it done for her at mirage. To summarise my visit at mirage, limited selection, overly priced clothes , discriminating and rude behaviour by the receptionist , low customer service and no alteration facility at the store. read more

This is the place for discerning customers!! We ordered our daughter's bridal from another boutique in Artesia but when we received it, we could not believe it. The quality, colors and fittings were all very poor and we could not afford to have our daughter wear that dress on her wedding day. Desperate, we went to Mirage. What a wonderful experience. They were able to custom made a new bridal for our daughter and get it all done within four weeks. Their service was excellent and the quality was thousands time better than the others with almost the same price we paid for a dress that we ordered from other boutique. THANK YOU MIRAGE!! read more

I am very happy that I came to the boutique! I needed a nikkah outfit in three weeks and I was able to get an outfit and have it tailored in a few days. Mehnaz is an absolute gem and great help from picking out dresses that I should try to helping me get out of the dresses, as well as giving good advice on the dresses I should try. Alhumdulilah, I was able to go back to the boutique a month later to get another outfit and jewelry set, all within an hour. Best experience I've had purchasing dresses. Especially during this COVID-19 crisis, it was nice to know that I was still able to get a dress for my wedding. read more

This place is the best! Not only do they have beautiful clothes & unique designs but they also have great customer service. This lady named Mehnaz is wonderful!! She helped me design and customize outfits which I could not have done without her hard work and effort. She gives you her honest opinion and does not force you to buy anything unlike other desi store sales associates who hover around you and say everything looks gorgeous when you know it doesn't. Please give me the option of negative stars for more appropriate feedback. The staff there has no respect for customers. If you feel you haven't been insulted in a long time, please visit this place. I ordered a suit and nor did they mess it up, but they fought and almost got physical. The stupid manager's name was Mehnaaz and the alteration lady (her mom) both think they own the people who enter their store and they can treat them anyway. The two ladies that manage this location (Anjana & Olivia) are amazingly kind, patient, helpful. We walked the entire strip of Indian shops in LA looking for our bridal wear, we even visited KYNAH in Santa Monica. Couldn't find anything! People were unhelpful. Finally we walked into SB, without an appointment- yet Anjana and Olivia welcomed us and answered all our questions. I requested customizations on our outfits, which Anjana and Olivia did their best to fulfill. Unfortunately, the many discrepancies with colors and measurements once the requests were sent back to India caused me great stress and inconveniences. The disappointment brought me to tears. No matter the errors or my complaint(s) Olivia and Anjana's respectful demeanor never wavered. They maintained professionalism and focused on being solution oriented. They went out of their way to make things right. In areas where SB lacked, these two ladies took accountability and helped the brand maintain it's elevated status. Had it not been for them, my wedding would have been ruined. If you're looking for beautiful, traditional Indian attire for a formal event. This store is a great option. I would only advise that you do not make any requests for customizations, give yourself ample time for alterations as the staff in India cannot seem to get it right. I think that SB put these lovely ladies in the line of fire by not having quality and competent tailors in India. They also cannot make creative suggestions or decisions without instruction. Do not request color changes, do not request to add sleeves, and do not expect a more sophisticated team in India simply because the prices are equivalent to Tom Ford. I trust Anjana and Olivia to make things right, I trust to do business with them. Again, they are beyond wonderful. I do not trust SB. I'm sorry. One of the biggest issues I had, was the bust, underarm and shoulder of my saree blouse. I measured myself, I was measured in store, yet the team in India botched my blouse 2x. For a measurement of 13.5"in the shoulder, they created a blouse with 11". They also made the busts (on each side) different. No one's boobs are the same. Doesn't mean you make the blouse lopsided. The cups used are antiquated, uncomfortable, impractical! The blouses are not made or cut / tailored to be flattering! I cannot understand it. SB/Anjana and Olivia helped me get my blouse altered so I would have it on my wedding day. I had to endure the embroidered fabric riding up my underarms, it was uncomfortable. They also use a net material for the sheer designs, not a modern blend of nylon for flexibility. I think it is very important to really pay attention to the inventory in the LA store before ordering anything. Do not dream up ideas and expectations. In conclusion, I looked beautiful on my day. So did my husband. I would even purchase from SB again. I just know not to change anything about the design and to be very clear about my measurements. Thank you Anjana and Olivia - for everything.

We were married 04/28/2012 and had an American ceremony in a church & an Indian themed reception. In September 2011 I started searching for a place to get a lengha for my wedding reception. Something that was really going to "awe" my guests as well as my husband's. I tried emailing websites that carried sarees & suits that I thought were really pretty, asking if they had lenghas or could custom design one based on a combo of some pictures I had found with design & looks and was either unsuccessful or didn't feel comfortable sending my money & requests off to India where there was no connection here in the states. On a whim, one day while passing by their Fremont store (in late November 2011), I decided to pop in and ask if they would be able to custom design something for me, and indeed they were able to! I worked with Maneka Sherwa, one of their designers from the Artesia store. She came up to the Fremont store in December and was able to meet with me. She was gorgeous herself and very sweet. SHe pulled out tons of swatches, color designs & different types of design work for me to go through. I showed her two pictures I printed off the internet which showed the shape of lengha I wanted (we call it mermaid, they call it fish tail) as well as some design work & top styles I liked. We went through a ton of "touch points", she took my measurements and I was very excited when I left. She worked within my budget, took the time to listen to everything I wanted and also made suggestions that would make my "in-laws" happier with my outfit to make it a little more traditional while still sticking to everything I wanted. In the middle of the process, I was a little nervous as the Fremont store closed their doors. Maneka kept in contact the entire time via email and text and reassured me things were going smoothly. About 6 weeks before the wedding, I got a "test" lengha from the production team in India to try on and "pin" to adjust anything that was too big (or too small - but I didn't have that issue). I pinned the lengha to make certain parts a little more form fitting and sent it back to the Artesia store who then adjusted my measurements for the tailors in India. 3 weeks before the wedding my lengha arrived and it was GORGEOUS. Beyond what I thought it was going to turn out to be. I had originally wanted a silver color that had a hint of purple tone - but the purple/pink color that Maneka suggested I change it to was PERFECT and I was so happy to have listened to her and agreed with that change during the design meeting. (White is used for funerals in Indian culture, so a color too light is almost looked down upon). The one "bad" thing (can I even call it that?) was that the skirt was slightly too big around the waist - however, I think it might have been a different story if it wasn't so decked out in crystals (the skirt alone weighed 23.5 lbs because of all the crystals & design work), I took it to an alterations place here and paid $35 to have her take in 2 inches to make sure the skirt fit tight and wouldn't fall and then it was perfect "to the T". I've attached a few pictures and honestly, in the future, look forward to working with them on some more indian outfits. The entire process with Atirma & Maneka went soooo smoothly.

This place looks nothing like the other competitors in the area like Frontier and others. Thank goodness because this place does not treat you like them either !! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and acknowledged. The other stores ignored me. I met with the owner Maneka and she was amazing. I had a vision of how I wanted my outfits to look for my 3 day Indian wedding event. She sat with me for about 2 hours and she took my vision and sketched my dream lenghas and dresses. She even helped me design my 8 bridesmaids sari's. She had so many brides that she was working with at the time when designing mine but she took the time and made sure each piece and every color was the one I wanted. My outfit was made in India and for those who know about outfits made in India, it can be scary. I have ordered outfits online from a website which I will not name and they never arrived on time and the measurements were way off. When my outfits arrived from India from Officially Couture by Maneka the waist was a little big but the girls at the store were able to fix that in a day. :) Needless to say for a bride I was freaking out but all was resolved. Then, she entirely ripped me off! 3 out of the 4 sets of bridal jewelry that I purchased BROKE. Unworn, they simply broke because it's not quality AT ALL. She promised to fix the broken items before my wedding trip, but when I went to pick it up at the time that we AGREED on she suddenly said it was not ready!!! I had the broken items appraised by another jeweler and they said it could NOT be fixed. It was beyond repair! When I asked her for a refund or store credit because I knew it could not be resolved, she denied me! I don't live near her store, and she refused to send my necklace back to me through the post. SHE STILL HAS MY MONEY AND MY JEWERY. It's theft. It's unfair. I was a good customer and she failed to fix the set OR refund me. She did nothing to make it right. Beware, this shop owner Saba is nice at first, but her items are not quality and they will break on you, and when they do she will do little to help you or leave you entirely in the dust. Horrible customer service. Horrible business practices. Prices are too high for the lack of quality. Take my advise, go elsewhere. Go to the stores that have customer service and more quality goods. First, bought an outfit off the sale rack and one staff member told me it was $100. Then when I went to purchase at register, they told me it's $250, so I agreed to pay $200 + tailoring. Tailor took my measurements and gave me an estimate of 3-4 weeks and when I called to check in a couple times during the weeks they promised it would Be ready in time for my flight. Gave them extra days to finish it and today find out it's still not ready and tailor is not there and to come in. After additional insistence, someone is last minute going to work on it, not even the actual tailor. Will never buy from there again.
