Horrible customer service. As I walked in I was immediately met with disgusting looks, I think because of my race. I was told that I wasn't allowed to purchase an item. There isn't a whole lot once you come out of the Avenue of Giants ,so we decided to stop before we headed out to the Bay area . we got some snacks , a hot burrito , some beverages and fruits . They surprisingly have a lot of vegetables and fruits which is unusual for gas stations . The restrooms were clean . There was only one staff member and it took some time to get the items paid for .There is also an ATM on the premises. read more

We stopped by at this supermarket to get something to eat and for restroom break while visiting the Avenue of the Giants. The restrooms are very clean. We tried their chicken salad with cranberry and potato salad and they are delicious. Thank you Miranda Market. read more

Needed gas, snacks and drinks to hold the family down before stopping at the next location. They have a lot of local brands and more healthy options compared to other gas stations. If you're looking for energy drinks you won't find them here. They do have some good coffee drinks to satisfy your craving. read more

Stopped in for a couple of bottles of cold bottled water while I was out exploring the "Avenue of the Giants." I attempted to use my credit card to pay for the water - as I was out of cash, I was informed by the cashier that there is a minimum purchase threshold to use a credit card - which of course I was not at. Fortunately, there was an ATM - so I extracted some cash to pay for my bottled water. The cashier apologized for the hassle when I came back up to pay for the water. I told her "it's not your fault!" There are not many places in this area for food and water - so Miranda Market was definitely a welcome Oasis! #MirandaMarket read more

Fine for a local market that has snacks for visiting the Redwoods. They don't do cash back, but there is an ATM. Had a gas station and a lower level parking lot so we didn't have to scrape or super-hitch bike rack to get up the entrance. read more

This little market is the only option for sundries (northbound) before reaching Humboldt Redwoods State Park. It may be small but it's thoughtfully stocked, has ice bags in two sizes, a larger-than-expected variety of beer and wine, a staffed deli, and lots of essentials for travelers. Prices are reasonable, it's clean, there's plenty of parking, and the staff was friendly. Oh, and a fueling station and café are within steps. Giving 5 stars because it's light years better than most isolated, touristic-trap-minded markets I come upon. read more

This little gas station is a must stop every year as we head into the Redwoods. We make sure to come on Fridays or Sundays to pick up some freaking amazing smoked tri tip. ( They sell it in a little hot box across from their deli counter) It is absolutely delicious and we can stretch one whole tri tip into 3 dinners for the two of us. They also smoke other meats but our fav is that damn mouth watering tri tip! ONO!!! They have gas and a pretty nice selection of fresh meats and vegis for a convenience store in the woods. Firewood was too expensive but hey....it's a convenience store, NOT a discount giant. read more

Overall the only real good thing the bathrooms being convenient. Everything inside is over priced, understandable scone it is in the middle of nowhere and far away from the actual freeway. This market does what it can to provide a good selection for the locals and tourists alike . They have organic meats and plenty of fresh vegetables to make a decent meal if you haven't made it to eureka to shop . They carry lots of organic and quality items as well . They are community minded and friendly . The policy of not taking debit cards without ID is a little over the top being that that's what a PIN number is for . read more

Stopped in for a quick bite around lunchtime and surprised to see a clean, well supplied market on our way to Eureka. Since it was during the COVID pandemic, had to settle for pre-made sandwich which was decent and appropriately priced. When I walk in they were blapping about their personal life then when I ask for a pack of cigarettes they look at me as if I was some bum. Went there for lunch to get a sandwich but the guy behind the deli said it was closed, Who closes a deli at lunch?and why couldn't he make a sandwich? (there was no pre made sandwiches) he was putting out containers of retirement desserts. I counted 4 people Woking there but the one important part of the store could not be trusted to be open at lunchtime. I guess its beneath the bbq guy behind the deli to make a sandwiches for the public. I will only buy gas there now. I went to the Miranda Market earlier this week due to staying at the Miranda Gardens (which are amazing). Upon going to the check out the older white lady at the check stand told me to go to someone else. At that point there was no other people at the check stands for me to go to. I waited for a few minutes for someone else to come to the checkstand to check me out. At that time, the older white lady was already checking out someone else and just staring at me. It felt as if I was definitely racially profiled. She wanted to be no where near me and left me waiting while others got checked out. I will definitely NEVER put any of my money back into this market ever again. Absolutely disgusting for someone to act that way. read more

I'm giving it five stars because they made such a huge improvement over the little tiny hole in the wall store that they used to be. They try to keep the place really neat and clean and the bathrooms are very modern, large and clean. Some of the other reviewer's have said that they seem unfriendly and cold. Part of the problem is Humboldt County has more and more tweakers and abusive people who come in and break things and thrash things and it has made some of the local business owners very jaded. It's not the business owners that are the problem it's the arrogant druggies all around here to come in and constantly have a big entitlement attitude and treat everyone else like trash. This has created a vibe which makes it very difficult. Maybe people can think of what they can do to add positivity to the neighborhood instead of going around with a self entitled attitude all the time. read more

I visited Miranda Market in July 2015, before the Yelp page moved to this current one, and it saved the day by having a bathroom in a rather remote part of Northern California (honestly, a whole bunch of this part of the state, off the 101, is remote and beautifully preserved land). The market also had gas, snacks, and a fully-stocked produce section. It was a nice change to be able to get snacks that were healthy for the kiddies. However, note that the other reviews about staff being, er, not so friendly are spot-on. I get that customer service at a roadside stop is a thankless job, but dang. You make it more thankless by refusing to smile. But being as the place had clean bathrooms and a killer produce section, I'll still say I'd return, as long as the new site is just as clean. read more

The ONLY clean market in Southern Humboldt. The owners are great people, the staff are friendly, especially to their local regulars, and the recently upgraded market is fantastic! Gas prices are as fair as it gets for Humboldt. Spend your dollars somewhere that deserves to grow more successful over the years! Your dollar is your vote! read more
