I tried the Ulavacharu soup--absolutely delicious. It's main ingredient is horse gram, which apparently is in the legume family. It wasn't like any soup I've had before, so description is a bit tough. It was fairly spicy to start with, but less so as I kept eating it. The only things I could identify was ground up horse gram, some sweet onions, and some thinly shaved ginger, but it had a lot of complexity. Highly recommend that and the rose milk (especially if you need some relief from the spiciness when you start out.) I had a little bit of my friend's butter chicken sauce, and that was excellent too. More heavily tomato-based than I'm used to, but a lot of depth of flavor. I'd happily order that in the future. I can't wait to come back and try their buffet when my diet restrictions are over :) Service was great. I asked if a few of the menu items have coconut in them since I'm allergic, and our server double checked with the kitchen for me and was very nice about it. Really pretty dining room as well. The location isn't as central as I'd like, but that does make it easy to find parking in the lot. Definitely recommend!

I have tried several places but this by far is the most authentic. I used to have a favorite place I went to and would drive 20-40 min for it. It is the type of day that makes you want to eat comfort food. Bombay to Kathmandu was the ideal place for some lentil soup and naan. My soup was steaming hot and my naan quite tasty. Walking into Bombay to Kathmandu feels like being transported around the world. The beaded curtains, tin doors and other Indian Nepali artifacts made the place appear authentic. I placed my order with the cashier, who was warm and welcoming. The menu is remarkably diverse, offering classic Indian favorites alongside traditional Nepali dishes, which makes it stand out. The restaurant is known for its momos, curry dishes and aromatic sauces. Importantly, there are plenty of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Their creative fusion items, including curry inspired pizzas are their specialties. My soup was quite generous and filling. Prices are reasonable, and the food consistently delivers big on taste. The staff was friendly and willing to help with spice levels and menu recommendations.

Nothing compares to the indian spices on a pizza. It wasn't anything super lifechanging but it was comforting and hit the spot which is all I need. The samosas were also great. They seasoned the outer crust which added so much flavor. Would come back again.

We were excited to see that they had a few vegan options, which can be hard to come by sometimes. The open kitchen was fun to watch, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can really feel the positive energy as soon as you walk in. I ordered the Chana & Spinach, a traditional chickpea curry served with coconut rice, green chutney, and crispy papadum. It was delicious and definitely had some heat to it, which I enjoyed. My fiancé got the Curry Trio and loved every bite. We also shared the vegetable samosas, which are vegan, and by "shared" I mean I ate 2 1/2 and he had 1/2 ;) plus I ordered a Diet Coke. There wasn't a vegan dessert option, but my fiancé ordered the pistachio dairy pop and loved it. Everything was flavorful and fresh. My only small suggestion would be just a little more rice with the Chana & Spinach dish, but honestly, that's a minor thing. They have a nice outdoor seating area, which is perfect if the weather is warm enough. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
