I recently visited my Primary Care Physician's clinic and overall had a good experience. I scheduled my appointment over the phone, and during my initial visit the whole process took about an hour or two. There were quite a few forms to fill out, followed by some waiting time for the assessment. I was eventually seen by NP Cordero, who recommended blood work--which was conveniently done right inside the clinic. During my follow-up visit, NP Reyes went over my lab results with me and clearly explained what they meant. They also prescribed the necessary medication. The follow-up visit was much more efficient and smooth compared to the initial one. Overall, I understand the longer wait during the first visit since there's more paperwork and assessments involved. The follow-up appointments, however, were quick and well-organized. read more

Went here to speak to Dr. The whole place definitely needs an update when you walk in, and a thorough cleaning. The disturbing part was walking through and seeing paper charts literally EVERYWHERE! My 2 year old son got transferred here from his 1st doctor. The receptionist was very pleasant. No AC so that sucked. It did take a very long time though. Once we were in, the nurse was very very kind and gentle with my son. The doctor was very helpful and knowledgable. My son had to get blood drawn and the 2 nurses that attended him were very patient. NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!! Terrible staff but worst of all, TERRIBLE Doctor!!! Called several dr's offices regarding the completion of a physical exam and vaccines for Immigration purposes. The staff at Mirna Chambi's office stated that the process would only take about 10 days to complete the packet. They gave us the soonest processing time frame out of all the other offices, so we opted to work with this office and immediately did everything they requested and paid in cash several hundred dollars. Let me tell you, this is by far the worst decision we could've made. Unfortunately, 10 days turned into 90+ days of waiting and a declined immigration application!!! Not only is the staff unfriendly, they are completely unprofessional. They hang up on you and refuse to provide any information. They've also "misplaced" documents and stated they never received them. I'm appalled with how many HIPPA violations I noticed while in the office. We were finally told that Claudia would be the only one providing any info regarding the packet, we waited and waited only to continue to get the run around and no packet to provide to immigration. We had to file for an extension with the immigration dept and informed Claudia of the new due date, that extension ended up expiring and still no packet. Requested a second extension and notified Claudia of the final deadline. Our final extension was days from expiring and Claudia assured us that everything would be okay and that immigration would not have a problem with the delay, since she would be writing us a letter taking full responsibility. Finally got a call from Claudia stating the documents were ready for pickup... which ended up being over a week past the final extensions expiration due date. Mailed the packet to immigration only to have it get declined and received a letter resulting in deportation as a result of the delayed packet. The letter Claudia provided taking full responsibility was worthless. At this point we finally decided to consult with an attorney in order to file an appeal. Attorney requested a new packet signed by Dr Mirna Chambi. Called the office and informed them of the issue. Arrived at Mirna Chambi's office only to have Claudia act completely clueless as usual and be utterly disrespectful and rude. Claudia is by far one of the most incompetent people we have even had to deal with. Not only did she have us going in circles, but she basically ended up blaming us for the delay. (I guess she forgot about the letter she provided taking full responsibility.) Here's the most disturbing part though, finally sat down with Mirna Chambi after requesting to speak to her, only to get talked over and be completely belittled by her. She didn't allow a word in and refused to sign anything and stated that it wasn't her responsibility or concern. Got up from her desk, and laughed at us as she walked out of her office. Shocked, disappointed and disgusted to say the least!!! One thing is to have such a lazy unknowledgeable staff, but to have such an unprofessional Dr is absolutely unacceptable! Please stay away from this place. No one should be treated this poorly, it truly is inexcusable. After reading all the AWEFUL REVIEWS and having such a rotten experience, I honestly have no idea why this office is still open for buisness. Mirna Chambi doesn't deserve the title, Doctor and much less USCIS Civil Surgeon and should be held accountable. Maria has been helping me with a referral and she has been so wonderful and I have nothing bad to say about the staff and their services. I only saw Dr Chambi for a referral so I can't speak to anything else, but she was very thorough and incredibly helpful in explaining my insurance/options available. Sure the office can do with an update but whatever... I was impressed with how helpful they were so I can oversee that! As far as the wait goes, I waited maybe 30 min and had an appointment, which is pretty normal as far as doctor visits go :) I believe they take walk in's so it's best to make an appointment ahead of time. I brought my 2 year old son here for a check-up after our insurance switched. After a long wait, he was seen by a nurse (never did meet Dr. Chambi) who conducted a VERY brief exam without asking any questions about his health history. It seemed as if they could not care less about him or his health. I asked about his height and weight percentiles and was told "he's fine." I explained that I could not find his immunization record and knew without it he couldn't get his vaccines. They made me feel like I was the worst mother ever for not having it. They said that they would access his records from his old pediatrician and that we could come back in a week when they had the records. I scheduled an appointment and came back a week later just to get the vaccines. When we showed up for the appointment, we waited an hour and a half in the stuffy, hot office just to be told that they never accessed his health records and still couldn't give him the shots. They couldn't have told me that when I arrived? Or when they called the day before to confirm the appointment? What a waste. I would never trust this place with my son's health. read more

Worst place to go when your sick. I had my baby with me. I had an appointment at 9am, I got to go in 11am and again once I am in had to wait another hour to see the doctor. This place is the worse place ever , thank you Medi-cal! The receptionists are rude, they're always in a bad mood. Even if you're early to your appointment you still wait about 1-2 hours in the waiting room. When they finally call you , you wait another 45 minutes to an hour in the room. When the doctor finally comes in she sees you for like 4 minutes and BAMN ! She's gone! Worst wait times. Every visit I've had to wait 1.5-2 hours. Do not come here. I'm sitting in the office right now and I want to kill myself Another visit, same horrible wait times. Dr chambi moves like a sloth. I ordered medical records which I told would take a week to be ready. When I came to pick it up in the morning, it took them more than 2 hours to tell me that they couldn't get it ready in time. I notified them early on that I was scheduled for a flight for a job interview in Texas. I ended up paying 100 dollars extra to rebook my flight for a guaranteed seat because I missed my flight. Instead of telling me early on that they couldn't do it, they kept telling me it would be ready in 30 mins for sure. I come back an hour later and they tell me to just wait a little longer about 3-4 more times. By this time it was already too late. I had to have my dad come and get my medical records because they said it would be ready a couple hours later, and they still made him wait. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they lagged on purpose. They are all incompetent, but I guess you can't really expect much from someone who is working at such a lowly "medical" facility. read more

First time visit. I didn't have to wait long at all. My experience was worse. I went to see Dr. Chambi who I now realize is a woman after reading the reviews. I've been being seen by a man who I thought was Dr. Chambi. I went there complaining of weakness and difficulty breathing. Thought it was my asthma. So he prescribed me an inhaler and said I would get a referral for a chest x-ray and to go get some blood work drawn. After 2 days on the phone I got absolutely nowhere regarding my chest xray. The girls at the counter didn't follow through as they said they would. It gets worse I got my blood work done on the 14th of June. My follow up appointment was July first. I get there on July 1st and the doctor asks me do you still feel week? I said yes. He leaves the room a nurse comes back in does this prick to my finger for blood and leaves. Doctor comes back in says your hemoglobin should be 13 and your test results came back a 6 but today your an 8 but you need to go to the emergency room for a possible blood transfusion. He writes on a prescription pad hemoglobin read on the 16th a 6 today July 1st it reads 8 possible blood transfusion. I ended up getting admitted for 2 days for a blood transfusion and a pint of iron. Tell me from the 16th until the 1st he didn't feel it was necessary to contact me. A hemoglobin of 6 is life threatening. The emergency doctor was shocked he said why did he wait so long to send you in? Your lucky you are still standing. I can not believe the the lack o following through that office has shown me. He should have looked at my results and contacted me immediately. I could barely walk from room to room those 2 weeks. I just kept using my inhaler and breathing machine for asthma. I think that's what kept me going. It was aweful. I was very scared at times because I was so weak and out of breath constantly. I will not put my life in their hands ever again . HE needs to get a new staff also. They were the worst. read more

Avoid this office like the plague. I have taken my twins here 3 times and have yet to see a Dr. Chambi. Does this person even exist? The third appointment was a simple scheduled recheck to show that my twins rashes were gone. Why they would even schedule a recheck for a rash is beyond me. Their last pediatrician would prescribe meds and say to bring them back only if it doesn't clear up or worsens. We waited in the lobby for an hour with tired, hungry, and fussy toddlers. They finally got us in a room after my husband said something only for us to sit another 45min. Their equipment is outdated and they can't even take accurate weights or heights for babies and toddlers. We finally had to walk out. When I let the front desk know all they could say was ok. Worst experience! We were there for 3 hours. The staff kept speaking Spanish in front of me after I asked them to please stop because I didn't understand them. They tortured my toddler when giving him his shots, he was terrified! They were rough and careless & they didn't even correctly sign the shot record document so I have to go back tomorrow... They even gave him the wrong diagnosis and prescription for an infection he had... I rushed to a different doctor afterwards to get a second opinion because I was so scared of what they could have possibly done to him, and thankfully I did! I left that office angry, frustrated and crying once I got to my car... never take your family here! Normally I don't like to leave reviews for any reason cuz everyone has different experiences cuz they have different days! But dang this clinic takes the cake! The people working here are racist cuz they do give you an appointment but when you arrive on time, they make you wait an hour and half outside in the waiting area, and then about an hour more when they put you in a room! What do they do meanwhile you are sitting and waiting for them you ask? They are seeing their Hispanic patients first and making sure they leave on time (which are a lot I guess cuz if you spend average of 10 minutes with me for all the details and next appointment, then that means that's average you are supposed to be with every patient you see‍).
