I have experienced a decline in service from my stylist at Mirror Mirror of many years, marked by tardiness, scheduling issues, and unprofessional behavior (taking 40 minutes before color is even applied, constantly rescheduling my appointments, and bad mouthing others) . It seemed like personal problems be it family or relationship, car issues , and health issues were always at the forefront of every appointment: On one recent appointment my stylist complained so much about stomach issues I offered to leave so she could get care . not exactly the relaxing experience you come to a salon for . Despite my loyalty and generous compensation, I was subjected to verbal abuse and unprofessional conduct during my last appointment. The stylist prioritized personal business (helping a non client set up an instagram business at the salon during my appointment time ) an appointment that had already been rescheduled by my stylist request . I was not treated with respect when I asked if this person could come back after my appt (stylist had already told me she had no other clients that day )and the stylist became very angry. As a result things became extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable for me , leading me to share my experience to inform others. read more

Careful what you ask for... I came in asking Michelle for an A-line bob with some volume at the top. Instead, I left with my hair chopped unevenly and little hairs sticking up everywhere--like permanent static. The stylist Hannah started with my shoulder length hair and managed to mess it up so bad that a second stylist ended up leaving my hair at a very short length due to the many mistakes that the first one did, such as uneven cuts, long hairs and no defined shape. I can't speak for the salon , but my service with Jessica Brown was the most unprofessional conversation and interaction I ever had in my life. 1. Very rude to a woman of a Asian decent and began to talk about her once she was gone. 2. Made some very uncomfortable and racist remarks regarding Hispanic individuals. 3. She also fat shamed and bashed individuals stating that: "They disgust" her. These conversations should NOT be held at the Salon, or anywhere for that matter. Very inappropriate. Racist throughout. I was recommended to Oliver by my sister and niece who adore Oliver they had let me know that he is super friendly and enjoying seeing him to get their hair done . I took my 13 year old there for a trim before school starts and I am impressed he was so kind to her; talked about her and school and kept the conversation going he gives the best scalp messages lol . We came home and my daughter was feeling herself so much I caught her taking selfie's which she doesn't normally do. First time client. Stylist was nice and friendly, so I will not name. Did not know what she was doing. Used a light brown color on gray roots that eventually turned Yellow. Yes yellow! The color stained my face to the point the doctor thought i had jaundice. LOL. Gave me a blunt cut instead of the layers I requested. INCREASED the price of the color and cut AFTER she had cut and applied the color. By $60.00. Paid $150.00 I was not happy. Went to pay with my debit card and she said no, cash only!! I had to leave, find a bank and drive ack. My hair is still a mess with yellow streaks. OH YES, they GOSSIP. As soon as clients left they ripped on them, it was very uncomfortable to hear such rude, mean comments. If you are a regular, you are being talked about behind your back. read more

2 years ago during my birthday month I wanted a good haircut. I set an apt with Olivier Santamaria and I was beyond impressed with his skills. I know you might think you "just" got a haircut but it was so much more! He sat me down in his chair, we talked about type of haircut I wanted then he washed my hair. Olivier gave me the best scalp massage, I truly felt pampered! Never have I had a haircut while being educated about my hair do's & don'ts. Oh dear, Kali does not know how to do hair. As soon as she finished washing my hair I knew it was a mistake. She raced through it and didn't get soap or water to all the edges of my scalp, in fact she left the hairline on the sides and in the back untouched. I had a simple haircut (just a trim of my layers and adding some curtain bangs) and thought she could handle it, but boy was I wrong. I've had my hair cut by several different stylists over the years and they all do the same parting for layers, Kali did not. I was so confused but thought maybe she knew a new technique so I didn't stop her. She proceeds to cut and it seemed to go well until she got to the bangs. I repeated what I wanted and she proceeds to cut straight across. That is not curtain bangs. She knew she messed up because when she stood back and I was silent in disbelief she assured me she would go back and fix it. She finished the sides and then tries to fix the front. After trying 2 times I finally told her to stop. Then instead of asking if I wanted it straightened or curled, she just dries it with a curling brush, which leaves my hair frizzy and poofy. No hair protectant was applied. I was shocked, very amateur way to cut hair. I usually trim my own hair between appointments but this time I let it grow out a couple weeks and went somewhere else for them to fix it. When I went to the new girl she agreed it was very uneven but thankfully was able to fix it and give me the bangs I wanted. Mirror Mirror was clean and seemed welcoming but I could hear everyone's conversations. If that doesn't bother you then try them out, just don't go to Kali. read more

I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one only because they were able to fit me in on a Saturday. Otherwise, I would have given it one star. I had to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time because the stylists was already working on another client. When I had a concern about the ingredients in the products, instead of looking at the ingredients on the bottle she told me, "Just take Benadryl if you have a reaction." After telling her how I reacted to a certain ingredients, she finally stopped shampooing my hair and looked at the bottle. She rushed through my haircut, probably because she was still bouncing between me and the other client. When I told her I wanted my hair curly, instead of a blow out that straightens it, she just puts some product in my hair and sends me on my way. With wet hair...in January, because I guess she didn't have a diffuser. This is the last time I getting my hair done up here in the high desert. I've had nothing but bad experiences here. read more

Literally came in with a multi colored grown out disaster and needed to be a solid blonde before a wedding in the next week and was completely stressed thinking I brought in an impossible request. (To any other stylist it probably was) However, I left with a beautiful blonde and couldn't be happier! Checked into my daughters 1pm appointment only to see there was someone else waiting for the same girl. Jessica the hairstylist asked for the confirmation email, We gave it to her and she walked over to the other girl and told her she wasn't on her schedule until June. She then told her she'd help her and then us and walked away. Not acknowledging us whatsoever. So I asked her why she was going to take them first if we had an app and they didn't? She said they were there first and that she can "Knock both of us out". My daughter had to be at work at a certain time that's why she made the app, she rudely said "we can reschedule if you want." I told her all I want is for you to honor your appointments. She rudely said "we can talk about this after I'm done w my client." Never once did she apologize for the mix up or inconvenience. Never once did she ask if we would mind waiting a bit longer or if it'd be ok to help them first. Didn't acknowledge my daughter only her WHITE customers. Horrible customer service and an obvious RACIST! Why did they have priority Jessica? Because they are regulars or because they were white? Or both?
