I have been coming to this salon for year and years, and I have been very pleased with everything - from the hair cuts, coloring, to the service. This is a very pleasant salon, clean, professional, and they use great products. My hairdresser, Young, is the best. I cannot say enough positive words to describe her skills as a hairdresser/colorist. I would highly recommend her to anyone. In fact, a lady I used to work with (she moved to San Francisco) told me she misses Young because she was the only one who could get her coloring right. So, that's saying a lot. Please give this salon a try. You will not be disappointed. As for the negative reviews, I'm highly suspicious of them because like I said, I have never had a bad experience here, and I have been coming here for years (at least 10+). read more

Wow! Hidden gem. I haven't lived in the desert long so I've been weary on trying a new salon after having the same stylist in LA for years. So I decided on this salon from a recommendation from a friend. From the moment I called in I felt as if my stylist was willing to be flexible for me based on my work hours. Walking in I was greeted by an employee and was asked to take a seat and if I wanted water/coffee. To my surprise the place was huge with different sections designated for different services. There was plenty of seating in the waiting area and had a great ambiance with tasteful decor. After waiting a few minutes, Joanna, my stylist, was patient while I explained my sensitivities and photos of the look I desired. She took every detail in and I didn't have to complain at all during my service. My hair turned out great (cut & color) not to mention the price! Had a great day! Had my hair colored at this business and as usual my hair looked great. Left there went to Costco where a gal from Direct TV stopped me and asked me where do I get my hair done at? She had very nice complements about the color and the cut. This is not an unusual action this has happened to me many times in the last 10 years that I have been going to this salon. Head to Toez is an up-scale salon with a spa atmosphere. The salon is very clean and so friendly. When I have an appointment I'm the only client there lol, well that's what it feels like... My hairdresser only takes care of one person at a time and that makes me feel really special. Just glancing over reading what Katie and Cierra experience was makes me very sad. I'm sorry you had that bad expierience at my favorite salon, but would like to say if you attract "bad hairdressers" perhaps it because you are not communicating with your hair dresser. I for one would not leave a salon feeling like you have and not communicate what it was that you didn't get, because you deserve the best. If you get a new hair dresser, keep her, train her to do what you want. I did. Anyway I think it's a great salon. read more

I have been getting my hair done here by Young for about 12 years now and it is always a great experience! She knows her colors like the back of her hand. Lettie also is a great nail artist. My acrylics last longer than 4 weeks and her designs are always beautiful! read more

While I haven't been going to Head to Toez for very long, my manicurist, Letti, whom I have gone to for about 10 years now, works there. Letti' s talent cannot be compared to others as she is a natu4al artist who loves what she does. She is creative, always has an idea for you, and backs her work. If you aren't happy, she's not happy. There has never been a time after she has done my nails that I don't get multiple compliments and asked the question, "Who does your nails?" As far as the salon itself, the new owner has made some very positive changes and has brought the salon up to date. It is very clean and everybody there seems to like working there. From the outside you wouldn't believe that the inside was as elegant as it is and has a sense of pride in the quality of their service, products, and professionalism. read more

I'm really wary about where I get my hair cut, because I seem to attract bad hairdressers. That's why I went to Head to Toez, because I had been before and was always satisfied. The last time was an exception. I had a new stylist, and it showed. I wanted 8 inches off in a blunt cut. It took her over an hour to finish, which didn't bother me too much, I just wanted her to do a good job. But SOMEHOW I left without noticing that when pulled forward, the right side is a good inch shorter than the left side! I take partial responsibility for not noticing when she finished. However, she's the stylist.. there's no reason for her to have missed that big a difference. And I'm not exaggerating. But now I'm stuck with a crappy haircut, and I'm not willing to go any shorter, so I get to wear my hair back until it grows out enough to even it out. I gave it 3 stars because of previous good experiences, but after that, I'm not going back. EDIT: I (unwisely) went back to Head to Toez to get my nails done with my mom. I had had my nails done here twice during high school (admittedly, 6 years ago) and was always satisfied. Apparently this place has just gone way downhill in the past several years. My nails were horrendous. They looked like they were a week old when I walked out of the door. The filler didn't look natural, didn't go all the way to where my skin meets my nail, they were SO LUMPY, and they were crooked. Everyone I showed them to gave me a "Oh.. poor baby" look. Including my husband who knows NOTHING about nails. They were also way longer than I asked for, because she kept insisting that she would file them down. That didn't happen. I feel bad, because the girl was so kind.. but seriously, Head to Toez, maybe test out these girls skills before hiring them. One awful haircut and one awful manicure and I'm definitely never coming back. My bad experiences also convinced my mom to never go back, and she's been going there for the past 7-8 years. read more

After moving to Hesperia just over a year ago I had a difficult time finding a stylist that could give a decent haircut. Finally, a referral from a neighbor led me to Head to Toez and Young Kim. She is a joy. She is very conscientious, skilled, and goes out of her way to please and get it right. Since my first appointment I have sent my sisters to her and they are quite satisfied and happy with the results. Don't hesitate to give Young a call. You won't be sorry.
