This place was great despite other reviews! It was very affordable and i didn't even have a coupon. I was in bend visiting over new years and the shirt I wanted to wear for New Year's Eve got dirty in my luggage so I took it the day before and they already had it finished by the next morning. Usually I have to wait at least a week at other cleaners! I was also worried taking it to a random cleaners because it was a designer brand, but they were great in every way! I use Mirror Pond all the time, I am a sucker for the tootsie pops and have always had amazing interactions. Until today. I dropped off my dry cleaning a few weeks ago and got it back and noticed they forgot a shirt. No biggie, I thought, I'll just pick it up when I drop off my next batch. Boy was I wrong. I got there today and told them what happened and asked them to look for it. The woman working flat out refused to look for it or even consider that they would have forgotten it. I mean, mistakes happen, but apparently not at Mirror Pond Dry cleaners. This devolved into an actual shouting match and I left without my shirt. I really liked that shirt. I wore it twice. And I know with 100% certainty that I dropped it off. So either it is still there or they mistakenly gave it to someone else. The fact that she refused to even look for it or consider that a mistaken had been made was wild. Obviously I'll find a new dry cleaner, but holy moly. I will only go here. Wonderful customer service. When I walked in to drown of and pick up they welcomed me and came right over to help me. Nice, did just what I asked and when I needed an itemized receipt they texted me the receipts. Offered to help me bring my items to my car. Above and beyond! I always appreciate how quickly this establishment pushes out orders. They usually are done with suits and shirts in a day or two, which is nice. We love their coupons too. Not sure how they compare price wise with others, but it seems reasonable. I seem to always get a different person at the counter, but I've never had anyone rude or disrespectful. I like how we get hangers too, we tend to ruin ours so it's to have extra. We've never had an issue with the quality either. The suits and shirts come back nice and clean. read more

I wrote a long review but can't find it, so here it goes again. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! They told my husband they would charge $2.42 per shirt to launder and when he returned to pick up they claimed that a number of the shirts that really looked the exact same had to be "hand pressed" which is just a way to charge more. They charged him THREE times the amount he was quoted without a phone call or a heads up. Imagine taking your car into a shop for a $50 repair and finding out when you came to pick it up that they charged you $150.... They refused to fix the bill or give a discount so we will be starting an investigation with our credit card company. There are better dry cleaners in this town that may not have a fancy store front but are honest and live by their word. Follow up: The manager (Chad) called my husband this morning and offered to credit us for the overcharge. This by itself was a gesture however I suggest he speak with his staff about their customer service which is lacking. read more

Prices there have gone through the roof. Took in one wool cape, 2 scarves, which actually were not dirty, but just had sat in a drawer for a few years, so I wanted to have them dry cleaned. One table runner. I was expecting maybe 50 to 60 for the dry clean. My mouth dropped when the bill turned out to be just a few dollars short of 100.00 dollars. Wow, if I ever have to take my King size dry clean bedspread, I can imagine what that is going to cost. It use to cost 35 dollars to do it, but I am sure it will probably be triple or more. I have had the worst experience with Mirror Pond Cleaners since I arrived in Bend for a 5 day visit this week on Wednesday  I dropped my cloths off, 6 Khaki  shorts to be dry cleaned and 6 shirts to be laundered. Picked them up on Thursday after 4pm and took them to my hotel and open the plastic bags and my dry-cleaned Khaki reeked of a strong order of chemical or cleaning solution and felt oily. The smell was so strong I had to hang them in the bathroom with the exhaust fan running all night. I was at Mirror Pond Cleaners the next morning at 7am to have the problem corrected and also took 3 additional shorts to be done for Saturday pickup. The lady who took my cloths said she didn't like the smell either and would re-due the 6 shorts at no cost  and would get the problem solved. I told her that if they needed to launder the shorts and press them that would be fine and she assured me that they would be ready for pickup today Saturday and all would be ok. Saturday, today at 1015 am my cloths came out to the counter Un bagged (which is odd) and smelled just as bad as if they did nothing.  The female associate and another lady said that was a clean smell and I guess they thought if you say it enough I would believe it. Wrong! Spoke to manager and she assured me that they are associated with cleaners in HI, Or, CA and they use only top Eco friendly  formula cleaning and I was mistaken. I told her I live and CA and travel all over the world and have never had seen  dry cleaning like this but from some cheap cleaners in Houston in the 1980s and it was due to the cleaning solution being dirty. She and the other two women denied that anything was wrong with the short. She said the would wash them for me but I have run out of time since I am leaving tomorrow.  I told her I would have to launder them myself and iron my short as I could not wear the strong smelling shorts. She said they would not charge me for the 2nd day order which I would only have to pay for 2 shirts laundered since I cant wear the 3 new shorts that reeked of the cleaning smell. She left and the original lady at the counter would not give me my refund of my dry cleaning cost of around $55. Customers beware. PS, The launder shirts were perfect. read more

Please restore integrity to Bend's historic downtown by refusing to patronize this house of thievery. I dropped off my wool slacks the day before an important business meeting. The woman , literally dripped snot on my clothes from her runny nose. She neither looked at the stains I pointed out nor marked them. She literally did not speak in complete sentences. When I picked them up, all of the stains were still present and a small rupture in the fabric where there had been no stain and again I had pointed out was worsened. I immediately called and was told to bring them back in. Too late for the presentation. I brought them back afterward. The lady kindly apologized for the extra trip (different clerk), apparently oblivious to the fact that it requires two trips. The second time I picked them up the stains were again still present and a new abrasion had been cut into the wool where one stain was. I returned and asked to speak to the manager. "Yes" the same 23 ish year old snot dripping girl said, implying that she was the manager. "What's wrong Hun?" I pointed to the stains. No apology. No explanation, simply we can do them again. I wasted $24 on dry cleaning and ruined a pair of $80 slacks. Do not patronize this business or be warned: your clothes will remain stained and have new holes. As a long time Bend resident I am embarrassed that this atrociously irresponsible business is allowed to be named after anything remotely related to the area (although considering the sludge in mirror pond it probably couldn't be more apt) and take up prime real estate next to reputable businesses that draw people to both visit and live in this area. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE!! A pair of my pants were sent home with another customer and I received another customers pants, which I returned right away. My pants were supposed to be returned and Mirror Pond was supposed to call me when received, however, I was never notified. Now my pants are no where to be found. I wish that the prices were listed on the company website. I think that being up front would be helpful. I brought in three dresses that I've been meaning to get cleaned for a while now. There wasn't anything complicated with the cleaning, i.e. no stains. I dropped them off and was able to pick them up after 5pm the next day - no issues there. The parking pickup line is a little tight and if someone gets stuck inside, you might get stuck waiting to get out of the line until they come out. I should have asked when I dropped off my clothes, but all I was told was that I would pay when I picked up. I was a little surprised that 3 dresses they charged me $46 total! For the price alone, I would try somewhere else. read more

We have used Mirror Pond Cleaners since buying a home in the area in 2018 and are impressed with the care and professionalism of their services. I am a cancer survivor and am quite particular about the type of process used for cleaning our clothing and home items such as duvet covers and pillow covers. I was in town last weekend an stopped in without any laundry and asked if I could purchase a lint roller and they gave it to me just for being a customer! They are very service oriented and totally set up for easy drop-off and delivery. We drive in from Sunriver and won't consider any other dry cleaning service! read more

Took in 9 men's shirts to be laundered. These same shirts have been laundered in many dry cleaners around the country for between $2-3 each. When we picked up the shirts, they charged us $9 per shirt!!! They said they had to be hand pressed to preserve the shirt. Nobody else EVER said that. Disgusting customer service. I tried a new cleaners in my town of Bend, OR called Mirror Pond Cleaners. HUGE MISTAKE. My regular cleaner was not yet open due the pandemic. When I picked up my 8 sport shirts I was presented with a bill for $70.44. Since there was a line behind me I decided to come home and call. When I talked to the person who answered I explained that I thought I had been overcharged. I have regularly had been charged half that much for twice as many shirts. Her response floored me. She said, "our prices are our prices." No offer of explanation as to why her company was worth twice as much as everyone else. No offer of anything. I recently was asked to present at Bend Venture Conference and pulled what I thought was a pressed shirt out of my closet. It needed help and I had no time. I walked in to Mirror Pond literally minutes before my presentation, asked nicely if they could accommodate a quick turnaround request. They didn't even flinch...told me to hand them the shirt, disappeared into the back, and 5 minutes later handed me a perfectly pressed shirt. We chatted while I waited, and everyone was in a good mood and cheerful. Then...THEY REFUSED MY MONEY! I sat there stunned for a few minutes, but they'd have none of it. They wished me good luck, and I was on my way. I hold companies that offer this kind of service in very high regard. Problems happen, times get busy, prices go up...but you simply can't offer enough praise to someone who at the drop of a hat offers their services to someone in need. I went to get my winter coat cleaned and before I dropped it off, I noticed a hole in one of the pockets. Now I can sew a button on, and that's about it, so when I dropped it off- I asked them to take care of that for me. I asked the price- the guy said probalby around 10$- very reasonable in my opinion. I picked it up a few days later and it was 8$ and the hole was fixed. I couldn't have asked for more. It's a good location with good service and good prices. I'll be back! read more

Admittedly, I don't use dry cleaners often and this is the only shop I've used in Bend. But, they're pretty fantastic! They've taken great care of my clothing and down comforters and are open long hours so it's easy for people who actually work all day. I have never had a problem with any of my clothes being damaged, lost or them not being able to take on the toughest stains from working as a local handyman and builder. I find it amazing they can keep in business despite horrible customer service and misleading/bait and switch coupon schemes. Some months ago I went in and had some wool shirts and blankets cleaned. Prior to going down to drop them off I asked for a quote. Mostly because on previous occasions the price ALWAYS went up when I returned to pick up the items. So I confirm the quote, drop off the items, and guess what, they charge me more money!!!!! They "forgot" to tell me about a "brushing fee", whatever. So I am looking at the itemized bill and nothing is adding up. The bill total was not reflected in the line items. What????? So, I'm like, "I want an itemized bill that totals the amount you are charging me including the brushing fee." I am told this is IMPOSSIBLE. So these rip-off thieves can charge me but cannot provide me with proof of how the bill was determined. RIP OFF ALERT! So, as time dulls all pain, I return last week to drop off some shirts. I am told I cannot use my coupon because all the shirts don't qualify. OK. I return today with five shirts and once again I am told only four of the five qualify. So, I say go ahead and clean the four shirts and I will pay for five. I am told NO?? Can you believe it. They would not honor the coupon and clean four shirts for the price of five. THESE PEOPLE ARE ABSOLUTE THIEVES! Please avoid this place. They lie, cheat, and treat customers horribly. You have been warned. read more

Have given these cleaners several tries and they have consistently scorched my husband's shirts and pants. Clothes come back with yellow patches and discoloration on pants. We don't notice the marks until getting in the right light. Unsure if it's the amount of heat or starch. I was on vacation in Sunriver and needed some items dry cleaned. I was referred to Mirror Pond Cleaners by my friend Wendy. I wanted somebody I could trust to take care of my clothes, because I spend a lot on my wardrobe, and I can't trust just anyone. I was greated by a friendly woman that was knowledgable and able to assist me, I believe her name was Kim. I was happy to find out that I could recieve my garments back the same day (when on vacation this is a huge plus!). Drove up today and was shocked that one worker had mask below her nose and other lady didn't have one at all. I was putting my mask on ... they could see me vice versa. Neither made any effort to put their masks on. The lady with the mask under her nose, left out the front. Yup mask still under her nose. Customer went inside wearing a mask. Well by the time I found my shirt, had to check out of my room "so no iron" ....And next stop "Westport, Wa." so with the help of another business I was pointed to "Mirror Pond Cleaners" So in I walked and explained my desire to the man behind the counter.....he went and got his little measure thing....we picked the spot & didn't even make me wait. Tried Mirror Pond Cleaners twice. My sweaters just didn't look or feel clean and we're still showing sweater balls. Then my husband took his dress shirts and uniform to be cleaned and pressed, asking for medium starch. When he went to wear the shirt to a wedding he was officiating, it was full of wrinkles and had to be re-ironed. His uniform was barely starched. Not good. We're looking for another dry cleaner. read more

Well, they just lost my future business. Soon as I pick up my jacket on Monday I'll find another dry cleaner. Long story short - took a jacket of mine (an old favorite) in last summer to get cleaned and have a hole in the left pocket stitched up. NOTE: Without a doubt it was Mirror Pond Cleaners: #1, they're right across the street from my office, and #2, I've lived here 8 years and never used a different dry cleaner. Went in today to get a couple other jackets cleaned, as well as point out - very politely, mind you - that the stitch job was done poorly, as I couldn't even fit my hand in the pocket anymore. Like they stitched the hole, then stitched the pocket to itself. All kinds of wrong. I hadn't kept my receipt since by all accounts the service and cleaning had always been top-notch. And, admittedly when I picked up the jacket after being cleaned last summer, I didn't check the pocket - since I assumed they took care of it...again at that point I had no reason to doubt that they had fixed the pocket. This of course, was my fault. My other fault was that I didn't keep the receipt. At any rate, when I went in today and nicely asked if they could repair the botched stitch job, and explained why it had been so long since the work was done, I was essentially called a liar, or mistaken (that they did the work), after the front desk person couldn't locate a history of any services they'd provided under my name and/or phone number since several years ago. Again, no mistake it was Mirror Pond Cleaners, and no doubt it was this past summer. She said there's no way they would have done the work without logging it under my name and/or phone number, or without issuing a ticket/receipt. Totally understand that, and I'm sure they DID issue a ticket, but as previously mentioned it was last summer and I didn't keep the receipt since I didn't wind up using the jacket for several months, and by all appearances everything was fine so no need to keep the receipt (yea, I should have kept the receipt, and I should have checked the stitch work when I picked the jacket up.) They obviously logged the work incorrectly (guessing under only my first name, and definitely without my phone number --- or at least the correct phone number...since that hasn't changed since I've been in Bend. Possible also that they totally botched my last name spelling, and I couldn't guess how other than one possibility, which she only tried one once - at my request - and I didn't think of the "only first name" notion until I left...as well as several other likely last name misspellings (very common with my name....nor did I have the opportunity to ask her to try other spellings since she had already decided it wasn't there that I had the work done and/or I was a liar trying to get something fixed for free). Regardless of my admitted faults in this scenario... Seriously?? Fuck's sake. Like I'm trying to pull one over on them and get a $5 or so stitch job for free. Not my style. TERRIBLE customer service. I'll fix their ridiculous stitch job myself and save the $5, and not give them any future business. read more
