Washable Laundry I…read moream writing this review to say that Washable Laundry in Bend, Oregon is the loveliest laundromat I have ever had the pleasure to patronize! It is immaculate, modern, and well maintained, it has an excellent location and great parking, and on the day I was there it was cared for by a wonderful attendant (a blonde woman whose name I did not learn) who was constantly cleaning and providing help to everyone who needed it. I assume it is not the cheapest laundromat in Bend, but every penny has clearly been reinvested in the the machines, the facility, and the service. And the money is going to good people, because the attendant told me that the owners are the nicest people she has ever worked for. Laundromats aren't normally the most enjoyable places, but I will actually look forward to the next occasion when I need to use the services of Washable Laundry!

I didn't see any machines with any "out of order" signs. It's been years since I've had to go to one so I wasn't sure what to expect as far as prices go. I don't know if it's reasonably priced for the area or not but I just needed to wash a king size comforter and it cost me just under $11 to wash (I paid a little extra for an additional rinse cycle) and $3 to dry for one hour. The parking lot is really small and street parking is a hot commodity, with the food truck and tap room spot across the street, but I found a spot in the Washable parking lot right when I pulled in on a Saturday afternoon! (I tend to have really good parking karma). Speaking of the food truck spot across the street, THAT was a cool benefit of this laundry-mat; food and drinks while you wait?? Yes, please!

We've also had large blankets laundered. I think the prices are reasonable, they charge the same amount for everything, it's just billed by number of items. I mean I couldn't even get them on. One that did go one, the bottom was well above my belly button. When I brought them back to have the manager address the issue, he called and left a message that he stretched them all out and that is a requirement for all polyester. Are you kidding me? These shirts were so far gone, no amount of stretching was going to salvage them. Not only did he not reimburse me for the damage caused, he wouldn't even reimburse me for the cost I paid him to ruin my shirts. F this place and I will be sure to let everyone know this. To add, all the other clothes they pressed had an insane amount of static. I have dry cleaned my clothes for a very long time, this was the first and last time I'll go here.

I was in bend visiting over new years and the shirt I wanted to wear for New Year's Eve got dirty in my luggage so I took it the day before and they already had it finished by the next morning. Usually I have to wait at least a week at other cleaners! I was also worried taking it to a random cleaners because it was a designer brand, but they were great in every way!
