This one hit the right spot at every corner. I wish I had taken a pic of how it looked on top. It's quite beautiful aesthetically.. but back to the taste... just incredible. would go back and order another but I know my stomach would probably be upset with me. 10/10.
Having recently had a trip to Japan, we had to come here for ice cream! My daughter and I were reminiscing how we saw the cotton candy style ice cream at a mall we were shopping at in Tokyo. The flavors here are unique and delicious. Great selection of toppings. The space bright and cheerful, several little tables to choose from. I saw taro on the list and HAD to have it. I got half chocolate with taro on top and added mini chocolate chips. It was the perfect combo of flavors and textures on a hot day (it was 94 deg out) My daughter got the same thing but without the chocolate chips and she said it was so refreshing. I should have gotten the waffle cone, it's made in shop and I will definitely get that when I come back!
Unpopular opinion: the ice cream is ok at best. I've been holding off writing this review because I was so excited to try this place out. The reviews are glowing and the pictures are appetizing. So I was extremely disappointed when we stopped here during the Arts in Bloom festival this year and got a milk and chocolate swirl in a waffle cone. It brought a nice relief on the final day, a warm Sunday. However, it was too icy and lacking in flavor for my taste. I don't know if we went on an off day but there were a good number of customers coming and going while we waited and afterwards when we ate the cone right out front. I was really hoping it would be the best soft serve ice cream in the area but unfortunately we won't be back. The place is aesthetically cute but I didn't go inside since we had our pup with us.
We visited this location a couple of weeks ago. It's a small cute shop in downtown McKinney that serves ice cream, sundaes, and drinks. We made our order for the matcha affogato and the mango drink. Before we knew it we both had our items ready to try thanks to the speedy service. The mango drink was very delicious and tasted fresh. Definitely hit the spot on a hot Saturday afternoon. The matcha ice cream was also a hit. Would def order it again! Thank you Miruku Creamery for the tasty items and a reprieve from the heat!
After opening up our new office in McKinney, TX we decided to celebrate by going out to eat on the Main Street and afterwards we, of course, needed something sweet ....plus caffeine. We decided on Miruku and I am so glad we did. The front shop was so cute as we entered and right away we got excited because the coffee smelled so good. We saw the sample bag on display of the "Full City Rooster" Guatemala coffee and immediately asked for it. The owner was so gracious and a great storyteller: he went on to tell us all about how he met the owner of Full City Rooster and how he helped the Miruku owner set up his coffee machine and how they have everything calibrated perfectly - and do they ever! The coffee was so good, we ended up buying two bags of the Full City Rooster and then when we got home ordered more online! The ice cream was also amazing. The owner is a professional chef so this is not your DIY-franchise-yogurt shop. This is a legit, chef-curated creamery designed to make you feel like you have gone to ice cream paradise.
Such a cute little place to get ice cream we stopped by after playing pickle ball outdoors mind you for a cold sweet tree in hopes of getting something really refreshing and cooling . this place was so clean and fairly empty, which is not surprising given the time of day that we choose to . They had really cute different ice cream options as well as color changing spoons that change based on the temperature which is such a throwback to when I was a kid. The waffle crisps the ice cream and the dalgona were so so good and memorable, but the candied lemon really hit different. The ice cream was not too sweet (a huge compliment coming from an asian person lol). The only thing is that there were fewer flavors than expected, but this is a great place nonetheless.
Deliciousness in a cup!!! Love the variety of the menu, we decided to get 3 completely different items and they were all a 10/10! Vivian at the front hosted us with great energy and was so thoughtful offering us samples as she could tell it was our first time. The location is PRIME great area to walk it off. LOL. Inside had great vibes, very chill and relaxing perfect place to enjoy a treat!
Pretty good "soft serve" and a fresh waffle on top of it. Well balanced flavor, tons of parking near by and lots of dessert options to choose from if you are just unsure what to get. I personally would not get the ice cream again since its not the flavor I am looking for, this is more of a refreshing fresh type milk taste vs what I normally go for which is heavy heavy fat ice cream. The drinks do look good!
Went during the weekend and ordered the lavender matcha. Husband ordered the cosmic limeade. Both were really good and flavorful. Matcha was not watered down and both drinks pleasantly had the right amount of lavender without being too overpowering. I believe a family owns this place and despite being very busy they got our drinks out in a timely manner. They were also attentive and we did not wait too long to order/pay despite the amount of customers they had and only 3 people working. The decor of the place is cute, love the yellow as it was bright and cheerful. Already recommended to my friends and will be back!

Ice cream is creamy and good blend of crunchy, salty and sweet. The service was prompt. It's a good location, a little on the nosier side with more people but lovely place to come in relax with a nice dessert
Easy 5 stars for Miruku! Visited here on my way home to Chicago, via Austin. Amazing ice cream shop with an unique variety of treats! Cute and well designed ambiance that gives off a fun vibe. We tried their special coco mango, berry berry sundae, and strawberry matcha latte. We also sampled some cotton candy and ordered extra crawffules. All were excellent! I want to eat and drink everything here! The owners have legitimate professional culinary experience, and it shows in how their offerings are crafted. Miruku's treats have unique style, creative presentation, and pay homage to cultural heritage. I also think their food wasn't overly sweetened, compared to many dessert establishments. I did not leave feeling a sugar crash. I am stoked that this is a small, independently owned family business. I spoke with the owners for a bit, and it's clear that a lot of love and attention goes into their craft. If you are in the area, DO NOT skip this place. Great service and in a charming location. Go Miruku!

Whenever I'm in the area, I try to make it out to Miruku. Their affogato with the milk soft serve is sublime! They crumble dalgona sugar on top and pair it with a waffle for wonderful combination of textures. The only thing is that the space is small, so be prepared to take it on the go or eat it outside. Despite that, it's still worth it! read more

My family and I came for a special dessert after lunch. The service was wonderful. They gave us free samples and allowed substitutions. The atmosphere was "sweet." The creamery tasted pretty good. We would come back again! read more
Cute dessert shop right in McKinney's downtown square that features soft serve with something extra, like cotton candy! I did not get mine with cotton candy as that would be too much sweetness for my preference. Instead, I opt mine to be served as an affogato. Prob one of the better affogato I've had. Most places would just pour a straight up shot of espresso onto the ice cream, making the acidity from the coffee too strong for the ice cream. Miruku serves their affogato differently. They mix their espresso with other ingredients before pouring it onto the ice cream and then topped it with a brittle for extra crunch and texture. It's a perfect blend of sweetness. read more
Had to try the Toasted Berry Sundae before September's new flavors and specials arrived, and it did not disappoint. Toasted honey butter, strawberries 'n cream ice cream, strawberry compote, topped off with signature cornflake crunch. Kind of like their Berry Berry special with a twist. My friend got the Lavender Limeade Soda (not pictured), which was refreshing and not too sweet. She also got the Capri-Ni (ciabatta, mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, strawberry balsamic jam), but couldn't enjoy it until removing the jam because it was too salty. Staff and service are great as usual and will be back soon! read more

We could not get enough of their waffles. Or cotton Candy. Or everything to be honest. This place is AWESOME. A rare 5 stars from me, and well deserving. I have not found another spot like this. Atmosphere - 5/5 - Cute little spot in downtown McKinney that is family owned and operated. The couple are really sweet. Staff - 5/5 - Again, the owners with the staff are kind and sweet. Food - 5/5 - Ordered the following: Berry Berry - 5/5 - Must get the Honeycomb Candy with this. The flavors are so good. Thai Tea - 5/5 - OH MY GOSH. Just get it. It is seasonal, but when they do have it, GET IT. Peach Cobbler - 5/5 - Peaches and cream ice cream with fresh peaches. Chocolate Madness - 5/5 - Let's see...Chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate cookie crumble, and brownie chunks. Yeah. Amazing. Pineapple Whip - 5/5 - Think Dole Whip. But with Pineapple I am sorry, but every flavor is something else. Whatever that you are craving.....fruity, tart or chocolatey, you WILL NOT go wrong. This is my favorite soft serve spot. read more

The ice-creams were really good & high-quality. Definitely recommend the matcha affogato & lemon sundae. The matcha affogato came with dalgona candy pieces and waffle chips. The lemon sundae had a candied lemon slice, nilla wafer crumbles, & lemon curd. The interior is really cute and the ambience is great. The owners are also super nice & hardworking. Great place to visit to cool off in the summer! 10/10 would come back! read more
Not a big fan of this ice cream/soft serve place. I love their innovative ideas and Miruku Special pairing... it looks good on papers. I ordered the Strawberry Dream which they served with strawberry & cream soft serve. The flavor was already very sweet itself. Paired with the fancy topping like cotton candy, jams, the whole cup was overwhelmed with sweetness. I don't think my body would appreciate me eating the whole thing. I had asked to switch out the strawberry & cream with miruku milk flavor (basically vanilla) since originally that was what was labeled on the menu. Even with the less sweet milk flavor, I couldn't finish the whole cup and did not enjoy it at all. Maybe if you have a sweet tooth you will appreciate this place much more! If not, I would recommend just go with the simple soft serve in cup/waffle cone without the topping. read more

I saw a reel on Instagram of this place and new I needed to bring my husband and kids ASAP. I checked their menu to make sure they had a vegan option for me and they do so they immediately won me over without even stepping foot inside. Their store front is the happiest shade of yellow. You can't miss it! We had their version of chocate, vanilla, and their dairy free option of the month which was passion fruit. Everything was amazing. My husband said the vanilla aka Miruku milk, was the creamiest vanilla ice cream he's ever had. Since they change out their dairy free option monthy, it gives me an excuse to go at least once a month now! read more

First time visitors here! The menu has a lot of great options. I was in between the berry yogurt and the matcha one, but the cashier recommended the matcha mochi since it was limited time offer. We loved it! The matcha has enough flavor and the mochi were chewy! The outside decor is a nice yellow that stood out on the strip! Definitely will be back! read more

This small, local, mom and pop ice cream shop is exactly what McKinney needed! The owners work daily and are always happy to recommend a specific option based on what you're in the mood for and share their stories. Their ice cream is smooth and creamy, made fresh daily, AND they offer a vegan option! We got the affogato and the dream special. Both are amazing! Not only delicious, but also beautiful! Their espresso is small batch roasted from a local roaster down in Dallas and made to perfection on their espresso machine. I HIGHLY recommend this Miruku! read more

we have been wanting to visit this shop for a while. we had two different affogatos and they were excellent. Even better than the desserts were the kind folks who own the shop. there is a reason they have five stars and I'm so happy we have this great place in McKinney. read more
First off this is the cutest place tucked inside of downtown McKinney. They have a unique and delicious take on ice cream. I knew I had to try the matcha flavor! The ice cream is super creamy and flavorful. They pour matcha over the cream with grams and waffle cone. Cannot wait to go back to try the boba flavor! read more
