I was envisioning some purchase/return scenarios, which seemed like a LOT of hassle. Then I discovered The Listening Room in Saginaw. My initial thoughts were that I probably couldn't afford to shop there, but I thought I would give them a look. I am so glad I did. They have a full range of equipment and prices, from beginner to true audiophile. While they physically just can't offer the wide range of offerings one could find while looking at an online warehouse, they have done a fantastic job of filtering out the "also rans" and selecting the best items at each price level. The items they do offer are very highly rated and reviewed. Items they sell are available on display to see, feel, explore, and HEAR. I knew how things worked, what the capabilities were, what it felt like and what it sounded like. The owners were extremely helpful and patient with me, they were interested that I felt right about my new equipment, and there was no pressure or upsell. They also helped me understand the proper setup and functions of my new stuff. The worry about how I might return something if it wasn't right was gone completely. I was happy and I could take the item home with me that day. The very best part? I PAID LESS! I got hands (and EARS!) on experience, expertise to help me understand the setup and functions of my equipment in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, all at a lower price than I would have had I ordered online. Their prices were equal to, or lower than, ANY price I could find for the same new equipment. I am not associated with The Listening Room in any way other than being a VERY satisfied customer. They helped me get the very best sound that I could afford, and I think they could do the same for you.

Despite multiple attempts by my husband and one of our board members to reach out, he only stopped by sporadically--running a few wires and hooking up televisions the church had already purchased. As a small church, we extended grace in hopes he would follow through on the work he agreed to and signed a contract for. Sadly, that has not happened. It now appears he believed we had no recourse, but we will be pursuing legal action to resolve this matter. I cannot in good faith recommend Keith or his business to any church. In fact, we feel it is necessary to inform other churches in our organization throughout Michigan about our experience so they can avoid a similar situation.

Long story short, Pro Audio & Lighting worked hand in hand with the manufacture to cover my situation. For a small drop off fee that went towards the repairs, their professionalism was top shelf. The store manager Tom is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He knows what he's talking about and can always point you in the right direction. The showroom up front features all of the sound equipment and there's a lighting room in back to show off all of the awesome fixtures they have. I was very happy with a recent rental of a subwoofer and mixer. The cost was reasonable and they reviewed the item checklist with me when I brought it back. If you can get out to 14 and Dequindre, do it. It's worth the trip.
