I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at Mishiguene was extremely disappointing and far below expectations--especially for a restaurant that claims to operate at a Michelin Guide level.
From the moment we arrived, there was a complete lack of organization and basic hospitality. We were left waiting over an hour and a half beyond our reservation time with no meaningful communication or apology from the staff. This level of delay is simply unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one positioning itself as fine dining.
The situation only worsened once we were seated. It began to rain, and despite being placed under a canopy, water was clearly leaking through and dripping onto our table. Our belongings were getting wet, and yet the staff made no effort to move us or offer a better seating arrangement. We had to repeatedly bring it to their attention, and even then, the response was indifferent at best.
Service throughout the evening was poor--slow, inattentive, and lacking any sense of professionalism. The staff came across as untrained and, frankly, unfriendly. There seemed to be no coordination among the team, and at times it even felt like they were arguing or pushing back rather than trying to resolve issues.
For a restaurant associated with the Michelin Guide, the overall experience was shockingly subpar. The quality of service, staff attitude, and operational execution fall far below what one would expect from a restaurant of this supposed caliber.
This was not just a bad night--it felt like a systemic failure. I would not recommend Mishiguene to anyone looking for a refined dining experience. read more
