Recently visited during family vacation. There was 7 of us who came together. We went at 11am and was able to get ADA spot . Cost was $20 for parking weekdays . I needed a beach wheelchair. The cost was free just needed a license. They also put down the blue mats which was so helpful this year to move the chair in the sand . The attendant even offered to help push me down but politely declined. I had a great experience at the beach to be with kids my grandson and mother the memories will be a lifetime. The sea gulls do attack here so be careful we watched a group of them swoop down and steal a cheeseburger out of a woman's hand . Downside I wish they had a regular bathroom attendant as the women's bathrooms always need help .

Such a great beach! Drove an hour and a half to come here and absolutely worth it. It's a nice big beach with good waves - a bit of seaweed but to be expected. There's a large parking lot for $30. Loved that they have a pavilion area with bathrooms, a surf shop, a little restaurant, and playground. Great relaxing beach day here!

It's been 12 years since I last visited and that's just way too long. We only were able to stay for about an hour because a storm was rolling in, but the beach was super clean, as well as the water. Definitely got some great views and pics in before we left, and I cannot wait to come back again. Hopefully sooner this next time.

Fallfest 2024 $12 entrance. Everything inside costs money. We spent $60 on tickets to ride rides. The older kids each got 4 rides. Our little guy- we had to use tickets (for an adult)to accompany him on rides as per their rule. Loaded fries? $16! Highway robbery Poland Spring Water: $3 Slushie: $6 Overall It wasn't worth the drive for us. We didn't get a lot for our money. We did have dinner at a local establishment that was right up against and on the beach so the kids did get to go swimming. Nice beach to swim at but pricey events.

One of the larger public beaches in RI. In season you pay to park. See the RI website for fees. Lifeguards are on duty in-season. There are outdoor showers, food, gift shop to get sunscreen, hats, pails and shovels, etc., facilities, picnic tables, a play ground, and EV parking spots. Off season, the facilities are closed, no life guards and no fee to park. The sand here is not quite as 'sugary' as some beaches, but soft and a long stretch of shoreline that bumps up to Westerly Town Beach. If spending a day at the beach with the family this could be a very good choice.

Beautiful beach! VERY CROWDED, PLAN ACCORDINGLY! You WILL sit in traffic for a long time trying to park on hot days. So, plan! There are cute shops in walking distance though: iced coffee, beach wear and toys (surf shop), etc. We had a good time! But it's not a 5 star stellar beach.

Sandy beaches not covered in seaweed. Situated in a cute coastal town with nice little shops and plenty of opportunities for amazing photos, unfiltered.

Best most cleanest ever. Best Lobster Roll on the beach n I was able to do some shopping as well. Very convenient place with really clean beach.

Beach day in Rhode Island was great!!! It was a quick stop on our ride back to MD. It was not overly crowded, we arrived pretty early and were able to pick a pretty decent spot. My only complaint would be the $20 parking but everyone has to make little cash for the maintenance ‍

Only $12 to park up near State park entrance vs $10-20 other spots. Nice restroom/shower/changing facilities. Committed to eco friendliness via composting toilets and low water usage in restrooms. Several food & ice cream trucks along with gift shop & eateries. Says lifeguard on duty but where we are haven't seen one. Very crowded but beautiful beach. Beach playground area with swings & climbing structure if you bring kids. $15 to rent umbrella on the beach if you can find an open one. We lucked out and found a nice spot to set up beneath an unclaimed umbrella. HUGE strong waves (today), would make me nervous if had kids or unskilled swimmers along. We have stayed relatively close in as the waves are so powerful today. Rocks/pebbles so water shoes would be good, some sand once you trek out a bit into the water. Beautiful beach, glad we stopped here to spend a few hours! Just heard beach announcements: no skim boards, no kites, no digging, etc. I had thought we might bring our teens next visit it they love skim boarding so this beach is out for a family trip.

Lovely white sand beach with minimal seaweed and facilities. Unfortunately the real bathrooms were closed due to Covid. Watched a nice sunset

Beautiful beach! Easy to park, lots of friendly people around, and they even had a Del's stand on the boardwalk. Highly recommend!

Where is the best place to park for out of state residents, CT? What is the cost? Perhaps something…

The state park is $12 for out of state during the week. Typically cheaper than the private lots (often $20).

What saddens me is the amount of trash I see at the end of a beautiful beach day left behind...

What is there not to love about a clean, beautiful, Rhode Island beach?…read more Came out here for a quick girl's beach day. We drove a whole 2 hours to get here and the trip sure was worth it. Beaches in New York are definitely not all that so we decided to hit up the Rhode. It did not disappoint! Let's start by saying it was only $14 to park for the whole day! There are restrooms/changing rooms on premises. Everything is compostable so no flushing but the restrooms sure were pretty clean. No running water so you're kinda stuck with just hand sanitizer. I would recommend staying away from yellow, just let it mellow. The area is pretty isolated, it doesn't get too too packed. There's a limit of how much parking is available so it can only get "packed" up to a certain point. Bottom line: come to this beach. This is all I know but don't tell everyone about it. When things become popular they quickly get ruined. I know, I should've not reviewed it but I couldn't stay greedy. You're welcome, LOL, enjoy!

We had a great day here today! It was like 100 in the city but the perfect temp on the beach. We…read morearrived a little after 3 and the signs all said that the lot was full. We figured that people would have had to have left by then so we took a chance and drive down anyhow. When we got to the girl, we asked if they had spots and she said yes! It was $7 and we found a spot right away. Parking can be limited but they have bathrooms and the walk to the beach is only a few steps away. The beach is long and narrow with plenty of room for everyone with space in between. We headed to the right and settled just past the area that they monitor. We set ourselves up with our chairs, umbrella and Italian grinders! The beach is clean and well taken care of! I was surprised that the bathrooms had already been locked for the evening and it was only 6:30. I mean, we did pay to use the facilities... closing them before 7 on a peak summer weekend is a bit excessive. Check out the spot closest to where you park. The water is completely still and would make the perfect place to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
