Awesome beautiful town beach! I can not believe I waited 38 years to go to this beach. The sand is clean, the water is clear, the waves are huge, and a decent amount of parking. I was advised to get there early as we did at 8:45am. Got right onto the lot at 9am. Cars were still coming in around 11am with enough parking. Not sure if it was because it was a weekday. Fees $20 weekday and $40 weekends. They do accept credit card or debit cards and charge a $2.50 service fee. Bathrooms are clean and there are outdoor showers. Can't wait to be back!

This beach was so nice. Not crowded on a Saturday like missquamicut. Parking was tight we paid 30. The waves were on a different levels. Rough but love it. I would not bring my kids there just because the waves were so rough.

This is one of my favorite beaches in all of Rhode Island ! It's beautiful the beach is pristine, clean and gorgeous. The only downside is they don't have a snack shop if that's something your looking for in a beach. It's your picturesque New England beach. Just an FYI they have limited parking so if you get there past 9 on a weekend or holiday weekend your going to be SOL. I watched a grown man argue with a teenager over parking, completely embarrassing as they were just doing their job !

I love this beach!! My husband and I were on our way to East Beach and kinda lost our way and stumbled upon this gem!! It's a little pricey to park (among all the other beaches I've been to) but as far as the beach itself it is BEAUTIFUL!!!! The sand is so soft and very minimum rocks! The water is always clear when I come! The beach is super clean as well!! The restrooms are always super clean!!! There's nothing bad to say about this beach!! It's never crowded like most beaches I've gone to! It's hands down the best beach I've been to in New England!! There is not any concession stand here however, they do have a hotdog stand and a dels lemonade stand! So pack a lunch if you plan to stay the entire day!

I had honestly never heard of this beach before today. My friend and I ended up at 3 different beaches because all of the lots were full. The cover however was super expensive the state beaches are only $7 on the weekends...this cost $20 to get in. The parking lot is a nightmare to get out of!!! The beach was pretty but very rocky. Honestly wouldn't be my top choice to go back to.

Loved spending my day at his beach! $20 for parking and life guards are there until 5pm. Loved the vibe here and will most definitely come here again. Seems like the right kind of people know about this beach and it isn't loud and over crowded.

The best beach around! I just wish they had a good or ice cream stand. Nearby Charlestown town beach does, but it isn't nearly as nice.

The only downer is there's a lot more people than QEBA, but there's still a lot less people than the state beaches more northeast.

What is there not to love about a clean, beautiful, Rhode Island beach?…read more Came out here for a quick girl's beach day. We drove a whole 2 hours to get here and the trip sure was worth it. Beaches in New York are definitely not all that so we decided to hit up the Rhode. It did not disappoint! Let's start by saying it was only $14 to park for the whole day! There are restrooms/changing rooms on premises. Everything is compostable so no flushing but the restrooms sure were pretty clean. No running water so you're kinda stuck with just hand sanitizer. I would recommend staying away from yellow, just let it mellow. The area is pretty isolated, it doesn't get too too packed. There's a limit of how much parking is available so it can only get "packed" up to a certain point. Bottom line: come to this beach. This is all I know but don't tell everyone about it. When things become popular they quickly get ruined. I know, I should've not reviewed it but I couldn't stay greedy. You're welcome, LOL, enjoy!

We figured that people would have had to have left by then so we took a chance and drive down anyhow. When we got to the girl, we asked if they had spots and she said yes! It was $7 and we found a spot right away. Parking can be limited but they have bathrooms and the walk to the beach is only a few steps away. The beach is long and narrow with plenty of room for everyone with space in between. We headed to the right and settled just past the area that they monitor. We set ourselves up with our chairs, umbrella and Italian grinders! The beach is clean and well taken care of! I was surprised that the bathrooms had already been locked for the evening and it was only 6:30. I mean, we did pay to use the facilities... closing them before 7 on a peak summer weekend is a bit excessive. Check out the spot closest to where you park. The water is completely still and would make the perfect place to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The town beach has a nice bathroom/shower area that closes at 5- but it's really nice & they offer free sunscreen (was empty)! They have Del's (thankfully) posted up on the corner which is nice & you can also order from a few nearby restaurants however we brought a cooler so I just grabbed us 3 small watermelon dels when we needed to cool down. The water was beautiful I am talking turquoise in areas & so refreshing- NO RED TIDE (which has literally been at nearly every single beach I've gone to this summer) and the rocks weren't as bad as the other beaches- so that's a plus! They're a private town beach- think very similar to Narragansett Beach- but instead of a cove you get the real deal ocean! They're a also an amazingly easy way to get to this beach- if you're from Northern RI- like I am- BACK ROADS & the ride was pretty amazing although not from my 6 year old's standpoint! The surf was a little rough- hence the red flag- but the way this beach is set up- you can easily watch your kids while they dig in the sand or play in the water! The sand was soft and perfect for kids! My son had a blast! Overall I was amazed at the cleanliness and simplicity of this small town beach & it could be my new favorite - in terms of beaches I go to. We will be back on the 25th and 26th of August as we rented a Cabin At Burlinggame camp ground- as one last hoorah for my son! Can't wait to come back!
