Updated** I went for my monthly laser and was sat down, discussed my results experience and expectations. The laser session was painless and quick like the other times. She explained why I got the "burns" and that they aren't permanent so no scarring which I can see now after 2 months that it's not permanent but it did last 2 weeks. A background story, I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which one of the side effects is I grow in an insane amount of hair ALL over even in places you'd think hair doesn't grow. That being said, I started growing hair on my neck/chin at the age of 20. It started with one or two hairs which I just plucked then it grew into more overtime to the point I just had a mini beard thing going on under my chin. I tried waxing, not useful. Plucking was hard and would cause ingrown hairs and bumps. Threading, my goodness HURT! And also caused ingrown hairs. I had to stick with shaving but the more I shaved, the faster it grew back to the point where I was shaving TWICE a day! Shaving also cause discoloration to my chin and neck area may I add. Although I'm an advocate for accepting who you are and inner beauty matters more than outer, I felt completely defeated and less-than to have this beard feature on me (and I am personally speaking of my image only, I know women out there that rock their beard whether it's a form of pcos or hormone pills and they rock it with grace as they should!). She was so satisfied from her appointment, she recommended for me to go for my chin and even more areas if I wanted to so I literally made an appointment the next day. My laser tech is Freda, she's been nothing but amazing and a source of comfort through this all! She's very resourceful before, during, and after. I think my main concern before this was "DOES IT HURT?!", with all honestly depending on your pain tolerance, body party, etc....it varies. For myself, I gave HIGH pain tolerance and the first session did sting like a mo'fo but I was provided stressballs to clutch on to, Freda talked to me to place my mind elsewhere, and the machine actually as a unique "cooling mist" so it's cooling you down at the same time the laser is working it's magic. After my first session, the results were automatic! I went from shaving TWICE a day to the minimal shaving of light hairs TWICE a month. By my second appointment (a month after my first), Freda and I noticed a HUGE change, my ingrown bumps were gone, the dark spots and hair specs for the follicles where the hair was growing lessened by A L O T! It doesn't even look like my chin compared to two months ago, and I can't believe this happened after ONE session!!!!! I've completed my second session in September and after the second session, it hurt less, anddddddd I haven't shaved or have any hair growth in that area yet. This procedure seriously is sooooooo worth it! My experience with miss laser started off with Freda introducing herself. At first she told me what needed to be done & what's best for my face. Since it was my first time getting facial laser hair treatment I was a bit nervous. After going over the prices, I mentioned I'm not sure of getting the whole face but I'll start by doing small portion such as chin (which was my main concern). After few mins it was my turn, I went in she told me lay down didn't explain that I'm about to feel as if I'm getting poked with 10 needles on my chin. After she saw me feeling uncomfortable she asked if I needed a break. I said yes please but she kept going like what's the point of asking if you're not going to stop for few seconds. So after my treatment I came out she asked me to pay the full amount right then which was kinda weird because I got 6 sessions package deal. While I was paying another client walked in & I felt like after I paid she kinda forgot about me. Honestly, she didn't explain the post treatment dos or don't. If it wasn't for me asking should I wax after 2 weeks if I see any hair. She told me NO straight up. And I think she rushed after she got her money. She didn't explain me anything. I came after few weeks for my regular treatments. There are 2 girls there I forgot her name but she was really good. She put gel on me after, holds a stick by your nose so you don't feel like you're drowning with so much air going in your nose & told me what not to do after the procedure. My friend recommended them to me for and I started treatments back in September, planning to be done by summer so if my face got a bit tanned it wouldn't be an issue/cause me to delay treatments.
