Omg, this social media Instagram to be exact was googling for a barbeque spot a couple of weeks…read morebefore arriving and their posts caught my eye. I finally came to the right Bubba's( please see review for Bubba's 33). We arrived like 9:10 pm and pretty much 20 minutes before closing. Er were promptly greeted and we advised them we were going to give their menu a look. We decided on pick 3, which consisted of: brisket, 3 piece ribs, and half a chicken, for the sides were got macaroni and cheese and crinkled cut fries. We paid for our meal and picked a booth near the entrance. I almost forgot to mention we got a drink an made us some Arnold Palmer and for dessert with got banana pudding. We sat at our booth and our food arrived nice and hot. Fries very tasty and crunchy. We dived into the food I had a piece of brisket, nicely smoked and very moist. They had a variety of barbeque sauces you can you at your leisure. I picked a vinegar flavored and hickory sweet smoke which I alternated as I ate the meats. Let's talk sides. French fries fresh and crispy, now when it came for the macaroni it gives you flavor of the KFC version, it's alright. It came with a piece of toast. Taste similar to the cheez bread from Sizzlers just softer. (I'm showing my age). We had so much food and unless I'm very hungry we tend to share a plate. We took the banana pudding home and later tried it. The banana pudding was OMG, to die for, it had a very homemade taste. I highly recommend this dessert. Restaurant had a very cozy feel. The ambiance seem kind of quiet, but mind you we went on a Sunday night. The workers were very polite and attentive. If in the Brandon area, this is a must try.

It has this super cute, rustic, authentic barbecue vibe that makes you feel comfortable the second you walk in. My favorite part (and a MUST-try) was the brisket, hands down one of the best I've had. Everything felt well thought out, from the easy parking to the clean, private bathrooms, which just made the visit even better. This is definitely a place I would go back to again without hesitation. If you're debating making the drive, do it. it's completely worth it. 10/10

This review is not about the food--it is about the treatment I received from a staff member. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the waitress appeared to have an attitude toward me. As an immigrant with a Jamaican accent, I sometimes have to repeat myself, but customer service employees should remain patient and professional when dealing with people from different backgrounds and cultures. During the interaction, I felt disrespected and insulted. The situation escalated to the point where the police were called. The responding officers were respectful, professional, and understanding. I admit that I became upset and responded with inappropriate language after feeling provoked. The restaurant business is about serving the public, and the public consists of people from many different races, cultures, and nationalities. Every customer and delivery driver deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I believe Kojak Restaurant should invest more in customer service training and emphasize professionalism, respect, and cultural awareness for all employees. No one should feel unwelcome or disrespected when entering a business. I hope management takes concerns like this seriously and works to create a more welcoming environment for everyone.

Brandon location absolutely fabulous! So inviting, very warm and friendly. I'm not one for leaving many reviews but I am leaving this one in hopes that these employees' get acknowledged by there employers' for such a wonderful job done. Coming from the corporate world prior to opening up my own business I must say that it starts at the front lines and this place and its employees' hit it right out the front gate. Nicole, Abby and Meghan in specific were so customer focused, very polite, attentive to detail, warm and inviting, I just can't say enough. I took my family and some friends out to dinner there on a Friday night and the food was so delicious and very affordable, the customer service went beyond my expectations and you could tell the happier we got the more that they aimed to please. My first visit and I was very impressed. I was expecting another smoked BBQ sandwich place but it was much more! I ordered the smoked turkey and a side of mac and cheese. The smoked turkey was slightly spicey, very smokey, and very delicious! Super moist. The employees were extremely friendly and the one gentleman recommended a white sauce for my turkey which I can only describe as a spicy and tangy mayo. It brought out the smokey in the meat and was an excellent pairing. The mac and cheese was homemade and had that yummy crust on the top. Wish the serving had been larger, it was that good! The serving size of the turkey was just right. My meal was topped off with some corn bread which was my only disappointment. It was a little dry... perhaps it was not as fresh? I dont know. The food was great the smoke was perfect. I got Three Meat and beans. The smoked sausage with cheese was awesome, a guy came from the back and suggested a mustard for it and made it better!! I had pulled pork not dry but the offer a bunch of bbq sauces for on top. The third was beef tender smoked perfect. They come out and offer to refill drinks. They thank you for your service if you are a vet. The one thing was the cornbread it was dry very dry. I'll live though because the beans were the best! read more

This is a no reservations establishment, which I love. It's first come first serve. They have a tiny bar area with a few tables offering dinner service. I loved everything about Jesse's and would come back in a heartbeat.

With their location close to the university, they got a lot of college student visits. We got the smokehouse club. The meat do pile up like mountain. This sandwich has the pork, chicken and brisket. It top with bacon strips and the claw slaw. The bacon is not quite crispy. Meat is a bit dry. The sandwich can better if they improve on it. Price is matching the amount of food was given.

We also got two side orders of green beans and an order of the loaded mac and cheese. The food was all pretty mediocre. The pulled pork wasn't really "pulled," and it was salty and dry (adding sauce made it just super salty). The ribs were very meaty, but they were too salty even before the sauce, and the meat was not as tender as I'd like. The sausage was pale but tasty. The green beans were passable. The mac and cheese (topped with ranch, green onions and candied bacon) was too sweet, and the kids wouldn't eat it. There are better options for BBQ in the area. I won't be returning.
