The staff are very friendly and the service is very fast. Most importantly the bbq is good. I had their waygu brisket, turkey, tallow fries, cole slaw and bon bons. The turkey is probably the best I've had. Maybe ever. Juicy, seasoned, could have been a giant chicken lol. The brisket was good as well. I went for half moist half lean. It turned out moist and more moist. Next time I'll go lean since its a particularly juicy brisket. The cole slaw was a fresh and crunchy touch of brightness on my heavy plate. The tallow fries had potential but I wish they were crunchier. The bon bons were good (first time having them) but after I ate everything else it was bit rich. So happy to patronize restaurants that value quality food and preparation; (no microwaves or freezers makes me already like you!) Beef brisket and pulled pork were both tender and delicious. I was particularly impressed that the pork was moist and had such great flavor from the mojo brine. I would get both of those meats again. Loaded potato salad was flavorful; the skins are left on the potatoes, which I didn't mind but overall it was a little mayo-heavy for me. The Brisket Shoppe was on today's agenda after I saw they were serving Wagyu Dino Beef Ribs and Beef Cheeks as their specials. That was all the excuse I needed to make the drive. I've only had beef cheeks one other time, at LeRoy and Lewis in Austin, but I have to give Danny's the edge. They were unbelievably tender, literally melt in your mouth, with incredible flavor. The Wagyu Dino Rib was every bit as impressive. It was absolutely massive with a beautiful bark, the perfect amount of smoke, and so tender it practically fell apart. Of course I couldn't leave without some brisket, and it was just as outstanding as always. I had the chance to chat with Danny, and he and his team are some of the nicest people you'll meet. Their passion for great barbecue is obvious in everything they do. The Brisket Shoppe consistently serves some of the best BBQ I've had anywhere and, in my opinion, it's the best you'll find outside of Texas. Ten mins later and there's 4 of my coworkers headed to your Shoppe! His take on bbq is so unique because he offers other specials on the menu but you have to be on the look out for them. Pictured is a special...the oxtail. Look at the size!!!?! Absolutely incredible experience at The Brisket Shoppe in Tampa! From the moment we walked in, everything about this place impressed us, especially the food. I ordered the 2 meats, 2 sides plate and went with the Turkey and Wagyu Beef Brisket. Both were phenomenal. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that perfect char, and the turkey was juicy and full of flavor. For sides, I got the Mac n' Cheese and fries, and both were delicious. I could honestly eat the fries by themselves because of how salty and flavorful they were. They also surprised us with pickles, pickled onions, and a sweet meat roll, which were the perfect extras to round out the plate. And can we talk about the sauces? Incredible. You can tell everything is fresh and made with care, and you can really taste the difference. To top it off, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was beyond wonderful. I've known about the Brisket Shoppe since their original south Tampa days but this was my first visit to their new location and it was just as good as I remember. The best thing I ate today was the brisket Bon Bons but everything was delicious. Banana pudding is a must try, even if you think you don't like bananas (trust me). Full disclosure: this place is busy. We waited in line outside for about 30 minutes to get inside to order. There are some tents and fans, as well as free bottled water available while you wait which helps make it a little more bearable. But I would do it all over again, that's how great this place is. We've been a few more times sense and always default to the steak frites. The ambience is great and feels so local, you're nearly in someone's back yard. Also use a debit instead of a credit card to save a couple cents with the credit card fee. This place is amazing. They sell bottles of wine that you can take with you or open there there's no cork fee and they are really good wines that they don't mark up ridiculously from grocery store prices. Looking for a spot for lunch and found this one on Yelp. Decided to give it a try based on fellow Yelp Reviews. Boy, were we happy about this choice. LOVED IT! There is a parking lot to the left side that can fit about 30 cars. There are also parking stalls in the front and to the right side surrounding the restaurant itself and surrounding street parking available. There was a line of about 12 people under the tent in front of us. We waited for about 20 minutes before we got in which wasn't bad at all. During this time, they offer coolers of beer where you can have one while you wait or just look at the menu so you know what to order. An older gentleman came out to let us in when it was our turn to enter. When you walk in, you wait for just a little longer as there are 2 stations for ordering. It is pretty self explanatory and guides you. They also have instructions posted so that you know what to do. We were a little bummed that they didn't have any chicken as it was on the physical menu, but it was okay. We wanted to try the ribs and brisket. Once you pay at the station, they will text or email you your order number depending on how you prefer to be notified. When your food is ready, they call your number and you grab your trays and head to the left side and/or back of restaurant where they have ample seating inside or out. The host was nice. He walked us through the menu. His advice helped us save a few dollars. You seat yourself. It's spacious and has several places to sit both in and outside. The prices were good.
