We live in NY and we always make time to come to the brisket shoppe! The food, the service, the ambiance is top notch!

The Brisket Shoppe is known to have the best brisket in town. I arrived about 30 minutes before they opened and there were already people waiting in line. I knew the food be good. I love that they have tents and complimentary water outside while you wait. Once they opened, there were 2 kiosks available for you to place your order and a person to take orders for people with cash. Glad I had cash. I ordered the ribs, with cilantro lime coleslaw and baked beans. My order was ready shortly. Once I found a seat. They have ample seating outside and inside. The food was delicious I wish I had enough room in my tummy to eat it all. It was definitely worth the wait and the hype. My ribs were tender. I tried the mango habanero sauce on the table and the cilantro lime coleslaw was refreshing and perfect to calm the heat of the sauce. read more

They have the meats! The barbecue is always top tier! The sides are not the standout as they get a little crazy with the vinegar. Each time I have been the owner and Walker have been super hospitable. While on the hunt for a gala dress, I found this place on yelp. It's absolutely FIRE!!! The brisket is better than any Texas or North Carolina brisket. The sides are ELITE. Coleslaw is cilantro and lime and my favorite! They have tallow french fries which are flavor filled and they make their own ketchup. If all they sold was their banana pudding, that would keep me coming back! No banana pudding can compare! Everything is made in house! The jalapeno sausage is juicy and filled with flavor! Made it a point to stop at The Brisket Shoppe while in Tampa and it did not disappoint. This place had some of the best BBQ Food we've had in all of our travels. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The meals came out fast, hot, and fresh. And the flavor was incredible on every single thing ordered (and we ordered alot to try multiple things and have leftovers). This place is nice. Parking is a little tricky but usually not too difficult to get a spot. You can order in person or on a kiosk which is nice. The food comes out fresh and pretty quickly. The ribs are good the pulled pork is also great. Sides are all excellent. Pork buns are heavenly! We love the different options for seating. The sweet tea and lemonade are always yummy. The whole restaurant is always clean and tidy. Woooozaa!!! Danny (the owner) has really put his heart and soul into the Brisket Shoppe because the food is soo good. His take on bbq is so unique because he offers other specials on the menu but you have to be on the look out for them. Pictured is a special...the oxtail. Look at the size!!!?! Juicy and tender but not offered often. If you get any of their classic plates, it's also delicious and flavorful. I've always wanted to try The Brisket Shoppe and I finally had the opportunity and it was worth the drive! Interesting location with many different rooms to enjoy your meal including outside covered patios. You wait in line for your order. I understand with the notoriety of the quality of the offerings the lines can get pretty long but I was there at the end of lunchtime so the line was short and moved fast. The staff was friendly and very helpful! I had the brisket sandwich and it was excellent! The rub was flavorful on the juicy, tender and rich and flavorful wagyu beef used in this massive sandwich! Absolutely incredible experience at The Brisket Shoppe in Tampa! From the moment we walked in, everything about this place impressed us, especially the food. I ordered the 2 meats, 2 sides plate and went with the Turkey and Wagyu Beef Brisket. Both were phenomenal. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that perfect char, and the turkey was juicy and full of flavor. For sides, I got the Mac n' Cheese and fries, and both were delicious. I could honestly eat the fries by themselves because of how salty and flavorful they were. They also surprised us with pickles, pickled onions, and a sweet meat roll, which were the perfect extras to round out the plate. And can we talk about the sauces? Incredible. You can tell everything is fresh and made with care, and you can really taste the difference. To top it off, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was beyond wonderful. He even gave us a tour of the place, which made the experience feel that much more personal and special. It's clear how much passion goes into everything they do here. I swore I wrote a review about this joint but I guess I didn't. I'm not easily impressed by anything but what I love the most is a well ran operation and I've been here now 4x and it's the same amazing service and each time I see something different that makes me love this place even more. One Saturday I pulled up and there was a line outside the door maybe 5 people and they have a cooler outside with free water and free.....BEER man I couldn't believe the kind gesture free water whole you wait in this Tampa heat is one thing, but a ice cold brew smh amazing. Per usual the ordering process is a simple touchscreen which is easy to navigate and it's large enough for the older folks with bad vision to see. I love it and my man in the front of the house always is very helpful. I forget his name each time I come because I just want to call him Watson lol but he's cool. Took me long enough to go here. You've got to make sure you try it when they have the steak frites. Steak is cooked perfectly, everything has the perfect amount of salt and fat. The beef tallow fries are succulent as can be. The ribs were ok, a bit dry and tough but the Mac n cheese is another fantastic side option, along the the brisket roll. The beans are a pass though. We've been a few more times sense and always default to the steak frites. The ambience is great and feels so local, you're nearly in someone's back yard. The owner will come around out of the pit and pass around little tasters like wings sometimes. Expect a wait on Saturday's and prime lunch hours. Also use a debit instead of a credit card to save a couple cents with the credit card fee. There could be improvements with the order lines which are just self order kiosks, but other than that nothing beats the bbq at brisket shoppe. read more

I visited the brisket shop on a Saturday around noon. There was a line out the door. It took a while to get through the line and order our food but once we did, we were all very happy! This place is amazing. They sell bottles of wine that you can take with you or open there there's no cork fee and they are really good wines that they don't mark up ridiculously from grocery store prices. We got the burnt ends (we got last order & it was only 11:25am when they open at 11am, sold out after us) & mix of moist / lean brisket. For sides, we got Mac & Cheese & the cheesy scallops were a hit (Both were lukewarm). Can't wait to go back & get the sammies. The service was exceptional. I like the kiosk ordering because then I could see all of the items that are available and I could select myself. Since my brother, and I like to try a variety of things, we decided to order à la carte meats & sides instead of the plate meals. For just the two of us, we ordered two meats and two medium size and our total came to $65 after service fees. They do charge a service fee if you use a credit card. It was very hard to find parking when we got there at 11:25 AM when they open at 11 AM we were able to get one spot where someone was pulling out of the line was already out the door when we got there, however, the line didn't move fast. What a great place. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly staff just waiting to help. Ordering was easy and efficient. The only downside we saw during our entire trip to the Brisket Shoppe was that we arrived at the tail end of the day's service, so they were out of ribs and chicken. But that gives us an excuse to go back! We received our food quickly, hot, and accurately. We did eat outside, but both the inside and outside dining rooms were spotless and inviting. They also had a full bar and wine shop for those wanting a libation. Food tasted great! They had a variety of sauces on the table, but none were needed. This is easily the best brisket I've ever had: incredibly juicy, unbelievably tender, and full of flavor even without sauce. Looking for a spot for lunch and found this one on Yelp. Decided to give it a try based on fellow Yelp Reviews. Boy, were we happy about this choice. LOVED IT! There is a parking lot to the left side that can fit about 30 cars. There are also parking stalls in the front and to the right side surrounding the restaurant itself and surrounding street parking available. There was a line of about 12 people under the tent in front of us. We waited for about 20 minutes before we got in which wasn't bad at all. During this time, they offer coolers of beer where you can have one while you wait or just look at the menu so you know what to order. An older gentleman came out to let us in when it was our turn to enter. When you walk in, you wait for just a little longer as there are 2 stations for ordering. It is pretty self explanatory and guides you. They also have instructions posted so that you know what to do. We were a little bummed that they didn't have any chicken as it was on the physical menu, but it was okay. We wanted to try the ribs and brisket. Once you pay at the station, they will text or email you your order number depending on how you prefer to be notified. When your food is ready, they call your number and you grab your trays and head to the left side and/or back of restaurant where they have ample seating inside or out. It is a seat yourself type of place and they also have a fire pit in one area where you can sit surrounding it. We ordered: A two meat and two side combo 2x (comes with a Brisket bon bon (yummy) and some pickled onions and pickles (yummy additionif you like pickled foods) 1) Brisket and Ribs with Everything Baked Potato Salad & Baked Beans 2) Brisket and Ribs with Lemon Cilatro Cole Slaw & Baked Beans 3) Order of their Chili OMG, EVERYTHING was sooooo delicious. The meats were so tender and juicy. The meat of the ribs fell right off the bone. All of the sides were tasty and just as described on the menu. The chili was also very good and came with some sour cream and frito chips on the side. We loved everything! The food was a lot and we probably could have shared a combo. We couldn't finish it and loved that they had take out containers and utensils on the side for us to bring the food home with us. When you are done, you leave your trays on your table and someone comes around to pick it up. The owner Danny was walking around checking on everyone. He was super cool and friendly and was very welcoming. We spoke to him for a bit and loved that the he came out to interact with his customers. They also have alcohol (beers and wine to have with your meal) and a wine room which is awesome! They have such great BBQ here and we were so glad that we chose them after finding them on Yelp. Oh my lanta! We have been searching for some true barbecue since moving here five years ago, and I think we've finally found it! For meats, we tried the brisket, hotlinks, and pork ribs. All tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked with a beautiful smoke ring. Our sides were Mac and cheese and loaded potato salad. To add, they treat you with some delicious pickles, pickled onions, and the best surprise roll I've ever had (did the heavens make that?!) Food aside, the venue was unique and adorable. Yet another hidden gem that was absolutely amazing. This shop looks so small on the outside, and it's only when you enter that you realize it's a huge complex. In addition to selling food, they also sell grills and all the accessories you could possible need when grilling. Ordering is done through a computer system that was a bit tricky, but luckily they had a worker standing right there to assist. After I ordered to-go food and was wandering around, two different people stopped to give me a tour; one of the inside and the extensive wine they carry, and one brought me back to the smokers and gave me a peek inside. Truly so impressive. The owner of the shop is the man who created Holy Hog BBQ, and he very clearly knows what he's doing. They serve brisket only on weekends, so make sure that's when you stop by. To stock up for the weekend, I ordered brisket with 2 sides, the collard greens and baked beans with brisket. Plus a side of tallow fries with gravy, and banana pudding for dessert. Confession: I can't tell you how good the gravy was with the fries, because I ended up eating all the fries as I was driving home. So good. The brisket ended up being some of the best I've had - perfectly cooked, not too fatty, and super tender. The beans were outstanding, and the collards had a nice flavor, not bitter. The star of the show was the banana pudding - this is a must have.
