We visited on a weekday lunch and discovered their lunch special menu, which offers a surprisingly robust selection of steaks and seafood at remarkably fair prices. I ordered the beer-battered fried fish with sweet potato as my side. The fish was generously portioned, with a crunchy coating. Two enormous onion rings came alongside, and the whole plate was delicious. The sweet potato was also quite good- a hefty serving, topped with butter and cinnamon sugar. Rich, sweet, and the perfect comfort-food complement. My dining companion went for the prime rib. A generous cut, cooked to a perfect rosy, juicy finish, served with mushroom on the side- an utterly satisfying plate. Before our meals arrived, a warm basket of complimentary bread appeared, accompanied by a sweet, fluffy butter-a lovely touch. Service was excellent -- attentive and warm. The space is undeniably dated and on the darker side. The lunch special pricing clearly draws a loyal crowd -- the room was filled with retirees and local regulars, and it's easy to see why. This is the kind of bold, flavorful, old-school steak-and-seafood cooking that never really goes out of style, no matter what food trends come and go. Jesse's is a hidden gem for weekday lunch. Come for the value, stay for the prime rib, and don't skip the bread. Classic, hearty, and genuinely delicious.

In town for the Bocelli concert, The food the service and the ambience were are amazing. What a delicious meal coming from Miami I so appreciate the old pubby vibe..feels like we could be on the English countryside- our server was Chelsea aided by Casey who is in training and absolutely wonderful! I cannot remember when I have had a better prime rib. As a matter of fact, my husband ordered the prime rib and I ordered Jesse's super special and we switched because the prime rib was sooooooo good ! Homemade key lime pie...yes please!Come for the early bird special leave happy and fulfilled pictures to follow. Absolutely love this place!

Made plans for a late lunch, specifically to try the Prime Rib. We started with Shrimp Cocktail and French Onion Soup. Love their soup. The onions aren't mushy and the broth is flavorful. We won't get the shrimp again. I ordered Cod and my partner had the Prime Rib medium rare. My blackened Cod was amazing and the Prime Rib is a must try with button mushrooms and a rich aujus. Our server was delightful, we will be back.

No reservations yet we dined at 6PM and was promptly seated , though the 2 at the front are rude on the phone and slapping the menus down. Management needs to ck it out, a proper out fit would give a more professional appearance Food: never received bread n butter. French onion soup very tasty. Queen cut of prime rib was BIG, we shared. The thickest part was a bit tough.Did an add on of Greek shrimp was good. Baked sweet potato and broccoli w no butter was perfect. Dirty martini BOGO

Best prime rib I ever had. I over order and the leftover taste as good as I was there the next day. Atmosphere are old-fashioned feeling cozy and lay back . But the service it's like a five star Rest restaurant. Very attentive and knowledgeable of the menus and history of the restaurant. My iced tea was never empty lol.

Tried this place out with a couple of friends. Even though it was early enough in the day (4:30pm) on a Wednesday, it seemed busy. We had a party of 3, but 2 of us arrived first. We weren't able to be seated until EVERYONE was present. The irony is every time we asked if they had a menu for something, we were told they don't but could tell us what's on it (no drink menu, no dessert menu) only basic menu available. My friends ordered the prime rib and one was cooked perfect while the other was overcooked. I ordered the mussels appetizer and thought it was extremely salty, but the escargot was seasoned nicely. Staff was nice overall and mostly attentive considering it was busy. Not sure I'd return though as I didn't see anything that drew me into wanting to come back and try.

So far service she also told me that bogo martinis yasss!! Drink service was pretty quick, so love it. Looking at most of the plates that prime rib looks absolutely amazing but you can actually share it with them like 2 to 3 people so did not get that mom got the salmon.. if they had blue cheese olives, that would be the spot!! Abigail was awesome when I didn't like my nasty clam chowder. She totally changed it to this delicious KFC mashed potatoes for me so she ended up giving me a weird sauce and some horseradish so accommodating. Despite of the look of it is actually really good.

I went a weekday for the prime rib lunch special. Surprisingly, there were plenty of people there during lunch before 12. The parking lot is kind of tight but they seemed to have enough parking for the crowd. When you walk in, you can tell it's an old establishment but that's not such a bad thing. I ordered the charbroiled prime rib, my only complaint is that it could've been warmer when served. The salad and baked potato were good. If you're a bread lover like myself, then you'll enjoy the bread but it's best to eat while warm. Overall this is a good place to take a family for dinner.

We were in Brandon to pick up a few things this morning and decided to have lunch at Jesse's Steak and Seafood, on 60. This is one of our favorite places when in Brandon. The restaurant has been around since 1980 and has, in my opinion, earned its reputation for great food and friendly service. We had the house specialty - Prime Rib. I had mine with a Baked Potato and my wife opted for the French Fries. The Prim Rib was cooked to just the level we ordered - Medium. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. If you have not been to this restaurant you should give it a try when you are in the area.

    Got to love the escargot!!

I've been asking my when we are going back to Jesse's. This long time establishment in Brandon serves up top quality steaks in an old school atmosphere with friendly service. Walking in to Jesses is like traveling back to the 90s for me. The stained glass lights over the tables. The darker setting. Wooden floors and tables. A fish tank in the wall. It just felt like what restaurants used to be. My wife, daughter and I were sat quick. Maybe a 10 minute wait just after 6pm. We just missed the early bird pricing. If you name is on the list before 6pm, you can get discounts. My wife ordered a New York Strip, cooked medium-well. I ordered the Prime Rib, queen sized, cooked medium-rare. Fries and veggies on the side. They start you with bread but don't over indulge, you need room for the amazing meats. This Prime Rib was the best Prime Rib I have ever had. Juicy, so tender, it wasn't funny. It was swimming in an au jus with mushrooms and came with horseradish for dipping. The flavors were rich and full. Each bite I took, I told my wife, you need to try this. Even our 18 month old was loving it. My side of green beans were good and the fries here are what we look for in fry. Mostly extra crispy. They were fresh, crunchy and perfect with some ketchup. Our server was excellent. She was always around and was super helpful and knowledgeable on the menu and history of the restaurant. I'd go here again, for sure.

I usually opt to share an app with my BF (current fave: BBQ shrimp, which have literally nothing to do with BBQ but are nothing short of divine) and then i usually just order a side of fried oysters (highly recommend, SO good!!!) One of the main ingredients in this cheesy skillet of goodness is pepperoni. My husband asked that the chef leave that ingredient out of the recipe due to my recipe allergy reaction. The waiter did a commendable job communicating to the kitchen about my dietary needs. Unfortunately, our dip came off with pepperoni and I nearly devoured it down. The waiter was super apologetic and wrapped it a carry home container and reordered a new one. We were so full from the soft, tasty bread, that we didn't touch the appetizer. For dinner, I ordered the most divine homemade pasta and beef rib dish. Whoever was back there cooking the dish, you have amazing taste, talent, and skill. My husband ordered the stuffed shrimp and beef fat potatoes. The shrimp were jumbo and filled with a hearty breading that was packed with flavor. The potatoes were rich in flavor and had a buttery texture. He would definitely order this dish again! Our server went out of his way to refill our drinks and attend to everything we were requesting. As a bonus, he ordered two pistachio and chocolate chips on his tab for the dilemma we encountered with the appetizer. I thought that it was a genuine gesture. You don't see that happening much anymore. When our cannolis arrived, I was pumped trying one of my favorite desserts Due to full bellies, we brought the dessert home. When I tried the cannolis at home I unpleasantly surprised at the taste. The cannoli cream was virtually absent of flavor, smoothness, and mascarpone. It is unclear what the my replaced it with for the fillings Overall, our experience was great! We will definitely make an appearance again!

We came to celebrate my friend's birthday. They don't take reservations, and we walked in with a party of five. Right away I noticed none of the tables had hot pot or KBBQ setups, which confused me. Turns out this isn't traditional hot pot. You order it and it comes out already prepared in a bowl with a small gel burner underneath (bright purple/fuchsia fuel). They use way too much fuel, and the flames come out the sides. The bowls are visibly burnt, and at our table a napkin caught fire because it was too close to the flame -- not exactly comforting. This is also a buffet, which I personally don't love. There are a lot of options, but most of the food was either too salty, too bland, or after a while everything started tasting the same. Another thing that stood out was our server's attitude. It was a little too much for my liking and made it feel uncomfortable to ask for anything. I hate when service comes off that way -- especially when your job is to serve and help the table. On the plus side, the place is new, clean, and reasonably priced. If you're with friends, really hungry, and just want a quick, casual spot, it works. Just don't come in expecting a real hot pot or Korean BBQ experience, because that's not what this is.

Born and raised right here in Valrico, Florida, I was brought to Willie's by my granddad, who called it his favorite spot in town. It's been a constant through every chapter of my life--birthdays, heartbreaks, and everything in between. This five-star review is a love letter to Willie's, a seafood haven that's served up memories as rich as their fried catfish and kept me comin' back for decades. From the time I could barely see over the table, Granddad would lead me through Willie's doors, his calloused hand in mine, promisin' the best meal in town. The place felt like a second home--still does. The cozy, weathered interior, with its wooden walls covered in fishing nets, old photos of Valrico's early days, and mounted fish, wraps you in a warm hug of nostalgia. The jukebox in the corner hums old country tunes, and the checkered tablecloths remind me of Granddad's stories about fishin' in the Gulf. He'd sit me down, order a basket of fried shrimp and hush puppies, and tell me, "this here's real Florida eatin'." That first bite of crispy, golden shrimp, dipped in tangy cocktail sauce, was like tastin' the ocean itself--fresh, simple, and perfect. Willie's menu is a love song to seafood, and I've loved every note since I was a kid. Their fried catfish, a Granddad favorite, is still the gold standard--flaky, moist, with a cornmeal crust so crisp it crunches like autumn leaves. The all-you-can-eat nights--catfish, shrimp, haddock, and clam strips on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays--are a tradition I've kept alive, especially now with my own kids. The gator bites, spicy and tender, are a thrill I discovered as a teenager, sneakin' bites off Granddad's plate. Their blackened mahi-mahi, served with creamy grits, is a nod to Florida's coastal soul, with a spice kick that wakes you right up. Even the sides--coleslaw cool as a summer breeze, hush puppies golden and sweet--feel like they were made with love. And don't get me started on the key lime pie; it's tart, creamy perfection that Granddad always saved room for, claimin' it was "better'n any dessert in Tampa." After he passed, I'd sit at our usual table, order his favorite catfish dinner, and feel him right there with me. Now, I bring my family, watchin' my daughter giggle over her popcorn shrimp, just like I did. The staff, some of whom have been here since I was young, treat you like kin. They'd slip me extra hush puppies as a kid, and now they know my order by heart--fried shrimp, fries, and a sweet tea, just like Granddad's. The place ain't fancy, but that's the charm. It's a family-owned gem, run by folks who've been at it since the '70s, and it shows in every bite. The prices are fair--$15.99 for a catfish filet with sides feels like a steal for the quality. The service is quick, even when the place is packed with locals like me, all drawn by the same comfort and flavor. Sure, some might say it's a bit old-school, but that's what makes it special. It's not tryin' to be a chain or a tourist trap--it's just Willie's, servin' up seafood that tastes like home. I've lived in Valrico my whole life, and Willie's has been there for every milestone--first dates, graduations, even quiet nights when I just needed a taste of the past. It's where I learned to love seafood, where Granddad's stories came alive, and where I still feel him every time I walk in. The food, the warmth, the memories--they're all part of me. Willie's Seafood is a five-star treasure, a place that's fed my body and soul for decades. I'll keep comin' back, bringin' my kids and someday their kids, to keep Granddad's favorite spot alive in our hearts.
