I was looking for gluten-free food options for dinner. They had great options and the food was excellent. The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten-free options and were quick and efficient in filling my order. Very pleasant experience. Additionally, I really like the honor and respect they give to veterans, military, and first-responders through the displays they have in the restaurant.

First time here at this location. I love the stuff they have with Soldiers and stuff. Plus uniforms from Army, navy, etc. for the food is a lot of your standard Bbq. Some of the sides are really good like the potato salad or the fresh cut fries. For service it's good as they get u right away. Also have really good banal pudding for dessert.

After 26 years of enjoying Texas BBQ, we're trying to adapt to Louisville/So Indiana style. Mission BBQ has a lot going for it, but there's also lots of room for improvement. First. BBQ without beer? Sacrilege. Second. BBQ without bread, pickles & jalapeños? The horror. Everything is ala cart. Your meat only comes with a piece of corn bread. Order a sliced turkey plate like my wife and you can't even make a sandwich. Of course, there's plenty of sides to choose, but watch you $8 lunch blossom to $12-$15. I ordered pulled pork and brisket. The pork was lacking seasoning. The brisket had no bark. Neither the turkey, pork or brisket had any real smoke flavor. The meats were moist, tender and ample. They just needed real BBQ flavor. Still, Mission BBQ has its own charm. Every day at noon, customers stand and sing the national anthem. Veterans are regularly (and rightly) honored. Photos of veterans fill the walls. And, they have a roving ambassador named Dawn who flits from table to table making sure everyone has their expectations met. We may have had better BBQ (TX spoiled us). But the experience was epic. Mission BBQ has a great vibe. Just a little more smoke and they'll hit it out of the park.

I loveeeee bbq & after a stressful day (we had a bad storm & large tree fell on our truck) my husband & I were craving bbq & Mission is super close to us. I went in & ordered carry out. We ordered two meat plate with brisket, turkey, mac&chz, & green beans, and smoked ribeye (special of the day) with collard greens & smashed potatoes. The girl at the counter asked how my day was going so I told her other than a tree falling on my truck, ok.... when the order was ready, she said she threw in 2 peach cobblers (soooo good) to brighten up my day. The food & service were great, & priced reasonably. But, the kindness made a bad day much better. Thanks, Mission BBQ!

Mission barbecue salad barbecue establishment that goes with the veterans army theme. They have a big tank it sits outside in a lot of soldier memorabilia and the restaurants. The food is really good I had pulled pork and brisket and both were very tasty and I do highly recommend it

I'm a big fan of brisket. Mission BBQ's is good. The sides are good, and you have the choice of some bottles drinks. The decor is "First Responder," if that is such a thing. It's nice. I've been told they do a little ceremony at noon that fits with that theme. The only problem is their sauces. They have a good variety, including South Carolina mustard-based and North Carolina vinegar-based sauces. They have no go-to winner sauce. They are all mediocre at best. KC Classic is a close to a good sauce as they have. Texas Twang actually taste like Worcester sauce. Bay-B-Que has Old Bay seasoning. They are all weird to this Texas boy. Bring your own sauce!

Best brisket around. It is hard to find good brisket at bbq places anymore it seems. They have good sides too.

Being Saturday, I asked if I had to pay, and Patrick pulled a bunch of quarters out of a glass jar on the counter. How was that for service? I ordered the Reuben. I sat outside (a few tables) and waited for what I hoped would be an excellent sandwich. It was a perfect Reuben with perfect inhouse made pitato chips on perfect toasted rye bread (from Pittsburgh) and even a perfect crisp. pickle. The corned beef was delish. GO, and have yourself this amazing Reuben, the best I've had in Kentucky. Thanks Patrick for a great lunch. 56

This deli hits all of the high points. Matzo ball soup? Si. Corned beef and pastrami sandwiches on rye bread? Oui. Black and white cookies? But of course. Latkes? Well, this one surprised me, because I didn't think a deli would serve latkes, but why the heck not? For good measure, there's even a signed and framed photo of Larry David hanging on the wall. This is my kind of place. The thing to get here is the corned beef with pickled cabbage. The sandwiches here are huge, but you can get half of a sandwich with chips, and it's just the right portion for a nice lunch. Along with my half corned beef sandwich, I got the matzo ball soup. That's a pretty big matzo ball hanging out there, like Seinfeld would say, but it's hanging out in a clear chicken consomme. The matzo is the size of a whiffle ball, practically. It's dense but gives way easily under the slight pressure of a spoon. It's a very satisfying and comforting soup. My children shared a grilled cheese sandwich, which they liked but were thrown off at first because the cheese they used in the sandwich was white. So if you have a kid who likes yellow/orange cheese, maybe keep that in mind. There are lots of tables inside and out, but Good Belly gets very busy, and we barely got a table. This is also a great place to get takeout, if you're not feeling like fighting the crowds.

I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese, and so did my daughter (we clearly have great taste!). My better half went for the bacon, egg, and cheese, and every single sandwich hit that savory sweet spot. The flavors were bold, fresh, and made with real care -- nothing felt rushed or thrown together. The customer service? Top-tier. Friendly, attentive, and just downright refreshing. You know when you walk into a place and immediately feel welcoming energy? That's what they're serving right alongside the food. The cherry on top was the soundtrack -- some smooth 90s neo-soul playing in the background that kept the atmosphere airy, nostalgic, and fun. The space itself is cozy, which works for now, but I can absolutely see them expanding in the future. And when they do, I'll be first in line. Whether you're rolling through with family or just craving something soulful and satisfying, Brunch and Soul is definitely a must hit.
