We were greeted right away and when we explained we needed gluten-free food, she advised that as soon as we order the kitchen staff will be alerted about the order and immediately they will change their gloves and equipment. The baby back ribs were wonderful. It is worth looking at the allergen list in the website. Even though there were a lot of gluten-free options, we had to be careful about the soy it might contain. Our waitress, Stephanie, checked on us frequently and she graciously gave us samples for us to try. Samantha, the young lady behind the counter was exceptionally cheerful and so was Allissa.The atmosphere was inviting and we were given a complimentary card to come back. I had brisket pulled chicken and sausage and the next morning the ambulance took me to ellis hospital for food poisoning. Do not eat there.

The food here is great! But the people...they were terrific! I have gluten allergy and when I mentioned it at the register, the employee smiled and happily reported "We''ve got loads of options for you!" And they did! Even French fries...which is rarely safe. And they were delicious. What a nice welcome. Then after starting our meal, Rome checked in with us to see if we needed anything. I told them that I was thrilled with everything, especially the fries because of my allergy. They proceeded to bring out a sample of all of the gluten safe sides for us to try. How thoughtful!! This place clearly takes pride in caring for their customers. It's a casual self seating kind of atmosphere so that's usually not service focused but here it's different. Stopped by for a late dinner right before they closed at 9pm on Friday. Got pork entree and thought it was cool that they only give you meat and coleslaw. All business and no extra side item fluff. The place was pretty busy and very clean. The employees were very helpful and friendly. I got a free blueberry cobbler through a promotion they were doing and it was good. The cornbread was also good and the pulled pork filled me up to where I could not eat all of it. If you can't find sauce, you may need to ask employee, although I ate most of mine without it. The drink lids and straws are in the bin drawers between the drinks. I had a few hard chunks of pulled pork that I was unable to eat. This was my first visit and for the cost I was not impressed. It was almost $20 for a chopped brisket sandwich, side of baked beans and side of peach cobbler. (I didn't get a drink). The brisket sandwich was plentiful and not bad but not the best I have ever had. The baked beans were basic from a can beans with a touch of brisket thrown in. The peach cobbler was okay but nothing to brag about. I took my food to go and the staff was nice and the restaurant seemed clean and nice. The restaurant itself, is large with open seating. No sides are included, just a piece of cornbread for 11.49. Service was fast. There are a multiple BBQ sauce you an slather your meat in, I liked the tupelo honey heat which was a spicy bbq and the Memphis belle. The learn brisket was too lean and dry for me, the moist was tender though. Cornbread is sweet, mediocre. Cheesy potatoes were good, scalloped potatoes with cheddar cheese. If there's one thing that Mission BBQ can claim its consistency - I've eaten at four different locations since discovering MB and if I hadn't driven to each location myself I couldn't tell them apart except that the duce and a half parked in the parking lots are in different locations. The service here is outstanding and well managed as are the other locations I've visited- the food is about as consistent as possible almost to the point of it being a little scary not like boo scary more like Cracker Barrel consistency scary. I haven't done the research so I don't know if there is a ginormous Mission BBQ Factory somewhere that smokes all the meats and distributes the food to each location. Surely not but it's so good would I really care - I don't know 'food service bbq' this good nah that's impossible. My favorites in order of how much I like each - turkey - jalapeño cheese sausage - ribs and of course the super moist beef brisket, I'm not much of a sides guy but they look pretty good and the cornbread well it's like a dessert. I love that the meats are served without sauce if I choose to dab a bit it's usually a mix of the Texas Twang and the Tupelo Hot but masking the natural favors usually isn't something that's required. If you've ever eaten at a Mission BBQ there won't be any surprises here - the staff is engagingly friendly, there's usually a manager roaming the floor like a Drill Sergeant at boot camp ensuring everything is in its place clean and neat.
