We were at the Saturday Sarasota Farmers Market and were hungry for a BBQ sandwich. We saw the HERBEQUE sign and, as we approached, we were greeted with the biggest, brightest smile by the lady taking the orders. We ordered pulled pork sandwiches and they were everything you could want. We ordered it with "everything" an they came to us stacked high with ingredients and flavor. I used to smoke my own ribs and brisket and I'm a bbq fan. Everywhere I go I try the BBQ. Well, first of all I put my smoker away before the 2024 hurricanes and it's still there because there's no reason to take it out of the shed. Herb and his smiling bride (she'll be really mad because I always forget her name) are a joy to hang out with and the food is great. My regular order at the Sarasota Saturday market is a slab of ribs, qtr lb of brisket, beans, Mac n cheese, and I just tried the potato salad. Quality and the best tasting BBQ for many many miles. I found it difficult to just sit down quickly to write a review as much as I needed to share my family's experience with this business. I needed to make sure I made time to write exactly what I wanted to express. First off, I had trouble finding the perfect catering company to host a family gathering for Thanksgiving. I started to give up and waited, hoping I would come across something through word of mouth. Nothing. One day I got back on the internet and searched for places that catered in my area, and Herbeque BBQ Catering popped up. I thought, there's no way they will be able to host for us and especially since it is a holiday, they probably want to be with their own family--but then I thought--it's a business, who knows?!?! I called and got Danielle. Her voice was so warm and welcoming, I just spilled my guts and told her, "I really need to have a family gathering that is for celebrating, and enjoying each other, as I realized most times I have met up with my family has been for moments of grief and loss." I shared how important and meaningful it would be to really just have a moment of family, good food, fun, and whatever came with that. Danielle, understanding what I meant, told me that I was just in time. I was right on time. I was so grateful, I mean as a believer, counting blessed moments is #1 on my list of things to do, and people!!! Were We Blessed?!?! Talk about selfless people. Danielle and Herb came to us at a time when they could have chosen to do otherwise. We all have family and you never know what people are going through. They allowed the love of their work and God to carry them through and into the space that I/We needed them. Okay, now---the food!!!!! OMG!!!! No kidding at all, no "hyping up" at all. I do not roll like that. I love to cook and I love to eat, and this year, I didn't see how I was going to do all of that with the plate I had before me---full as ever..... So, when I ask someone to cook for me, it better be good because they will know, they will get my honest opinion and my family would have let me know --in a very transparent way--the verdict! The verdict was that, I couldn't have done it better myself. The food was served with much class, it tasted just like we wanted it to and it definitely exceeded my expectations.....on everything I stand for! I was so happy, and even more grateful and pleased when my family was complimenting the food throughout the time it was still there. After they left, and let me tell you, if you didn't see them there, you would not have known that Herbeque BBQ Catering was even at my home! They set up soo well, and left it just how they found it--probably better!! If you want someone to really deliver on what they say they do, try--no don't try---go with HBC!!!! I feel very blessed that I got to enjoy my family and was not embarassed for any reason. It was more than worth my money, time, and expectations. I was planning an epic birthday party for my Wife. Attendees were coming from as far as 1100 miles away and I wanted the celebration to be perfect. An outstanding food experience was a must to make the party successful. After a careful review of possible caterers I chose Herbeque's. Bottom line: THEY DELIVERED!!! EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!! There were so many reasons why: 1. An extensive menu. Entrees, side dishes, desserts. So many choices. 2. Experience. They knew how much was needed based on the number of attendees. They knew how to incorporate the meal into the other party activities. 3. Flexibility. Due to Covid, we had to make changes to the attendee count and that meant changes to the amount of food. Herbeque's gave us a reasonable amount of time to adjust food amounts. They were so easy to work with. 4. Preparation. Herbeque came out to the venue site a week prior to the party. Scoped out prep area and serving area. They showed up right at the appointed time. These guys were PROFESSIONAL!!! Going into the party I knew they were going to deliver with no last-minute confusion or drama. 5. Covid-Aware. Herbeque had a disciplined approach to keeping our attendees safe during serving. They made helpful suggestions on how we managed the serving process to minimize Covid spread. 6. Complete Catering Service. Herbeque provided EVERYTHING related to delivering a successful meal. All food service equipment, serving utensils, silverware, plates, bowls, cups. 7. Professional Staff. The servers conducted themselves and interacted with attendees like we were at a white-cloth restaurant. Courteous, professional yet pleasant. 8. Impressive Presentation. This started with Herbeque rolling up to our venue 3 hours before the party with a big smoker for the on-site preparation of our food. WOW!!! Steam tables were super shiny stainless steel. 9. THE FOOD. Unbelievably delicious!! All night long and for days after the party everyone talked about THE FOOD. 10. Clean up. Herbeque quietly and quickly cleared tables, cleaned up the kitchen and left allowing us to seamlessly move on to other activities. Again, Herbeque's was da BOMB. read more

Herb and Danielle catered our parents 50th wedding anniversary beach party in Ocean Ridge,FL. I found their company on Google and here on Yelp. Their service was spectacular as was the food. We had a 100lb pig with Mac and cheese close slaw beans and chicken. While the pig was the star of the event the chicken was absolutely spectacular. The professionalism and neatness of service were also fantastic and Danielle's patience and guidance were first rate. I finally found it - the best BBQ on the Treasure Coast. I had seen a Herbeque food truck up in Vero at the fairgrounds, and it smelled delicious, but I passed on the chance of trying it (was too full). What a mistake! My employer recently had a catered lunch provided by Herbeque and it was absolutely fantastic. The smoked chicken and smoked pork were perfectly flavored, nice and smoky, and mouth-wateringly tender. Their mac-n-cheese was done just right. Outside of Memphis, this is the best barbeque I've had in my life. I wish Herbeque had a restaurant instead of just the catering business.
