I was recommended republic tree service by one of my neighbors. They said that they had a wonderful experience... I think it was a fluke; I contacted republic tree service on Sunday may 1 via their website. Republic tree service called me promptly the next morning, a gentleman by the name of Lewis was on the other line, he asked me if he could come by at 12:30pm may 2nd. I agreed, and took off lunch to meet him at my house. lewis never showed up at 12:30, he calls me at 12:38 to tell me he is running late, and would be by in 45. 1:40pm rolled around and lewis still wasn't at my house and hast contacted me. Ive already gone over my lunch by 40 mins waiting for him. I called Lewis, he answered, and as I'm explaining to him that I despise this level of unprofessionalism he hangs up on me. I call the main line, and Scott Madley the owner answered. Scott apologized on behalf of lewis and assured me this is not how he operates, that he needs the business, and would come by my house Tuesday morning personally. Scott didn't come, he sent Lewis. Lewis was great in person. Apologized and we moved on. I signed the quote that day, 5/3. today is 5/6, no one has called me to schedule the job. I called and Scott wasn't available to me. These guys are terrible, super unprofessional and do not care about your business. for the money you spend to cut tree branches, you'd expect some level of professionalism. 1/5 stars. **** LEWIS Just called me to tell me that I'm a terrible customer, and that he and Scott have decided not to work with me. We hired this company to remove a tree. The workers left mid afternoon, announcing they weee done for the day. They weren't able to say when they'd return to finish the job. We called the company to inquire. Nobody called back. Two days later the workers returned, unannounced. I was working from home by chance, or nobody would've been home. read more

I used their services a few years ago to clean up our "popcorn" tree in our front yard. When I reached out the responded promptly, gave me an estimate and was able to schedule an appointment quickly. The fourth time I have used these guys, following the winter ice storm, I had multiple broken branches. I cleaned up what I could, but there were numerous large broken branches high up in my oak trees. They cleaned them all up, treated the wounds and shredded the branches on sight. I was very impressed with the information from the arborist. He was well qualified and provided useful information about my trees. He was less interested in 'selling' me unneeded service and more about giving his professional opinion. Some neighbors remarked they were on the high side of quotes--but it was well worth the extra money if that were true. I had fly by night tree cutters and paid the price. Republic Tree Service provided professional and timely services. I plan to use them next year. read more

We had half of a very large/old Ash tree fall in our yard after a storm. Scott came by the same day we called to get a quote and had a crew in within the week to take care of it. Republic Tree Service did an outstanding job on all our Live Oak trees! They were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. When I contacted RTS via their website, Scott texted me right a way and came by the next day to give us a quote. We had other quotes, but Scott went the extra step to find out what our concerns were about the trees. He did a thorough walk through and discussed each tree, then offered his expertise on what should and needed to be done. The other services just looked at the trees and told me a price. They arrived early and again confirmed what they were going to do. Scott even went the extra mile and spoke to our neighbor, who was concerned about his trees being cut, and informed him about cutting his tree (it was over the fence and touching our roof) They did a great clean up job. Highly recommend. They were able to come out to my house to provide a quote for my tree removal project earlier than Home Advisor had projected. I got 5 quotes in total, and their quote was the most affordable by a significant amount. They scheduled me for the next day after I was quoted, arrived on time for the job, and were done in about 3 hours. One of the other companies that I received a quote from was going to charge me more than double the price and told me it would probably take 2 days to complete the job. Republic Tree Service arrived at my house to give us an estimate exactly when they said they would and the estimate was $1500 less than another company I called for a bid. Republic gave me my estimate on Monday, scheduled the work for the following Friday and showed up, again, at the exact time scheduled. They had to deal with trimming a large branch that was hanging over my neighbor's yard without access to that yard, and with sleet pouring down. But they finished the job when they said they would and did a great job. The men I dealt with were very friendly and knowledgeable. I will not call anybody else for tree service. read more

If you want honest work at an affordable price then contact these guys. I spoke with Scott on the phone in the afternoon, he promised to be at my house the next morning by 8am, Scott showed up 15 minutes early and listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. Scott gave me a written quote on the spot With no pressure or hassle, he said to give him a call when I was ready to schedule the job. I called back after getting another quote which was more expensive and scheduled to have the work done two weeks later, Scott had a cancellation and called me to see if I could have them start sooner, which is what I wanted anyway. The day they were scheduled to do the job Scott and his crew showed up early, went over the job with me again and got right to work. They even trimmed some things in the backyard at no extra charge. Scott and his crew were polite and didn't ask for a dime until the job was complete and I was happy with the work. They cleaned up the mess and it was like they were never there. I highly recommend this company for a number of reasons. First, they were considerably cheaper than the other estimates I received from other tree service companies. In fact, almost $1,000. cheaper! They did beautiful work trimming all my trees and removing the ball moss. They went above and beyond, even going to a tree in my neighbors yard to remove the dead limb that was affecting my tree, without charging extra. My trees look beautiful again! One of the owners, Scott, is an arborist and all the crew were highly knowledgeable. They showed up when they said they would and both owners were on my premises for the majority of the time.
