This isn't the first time I've had issues with Naythan Jones of Mission Glass When you hire them, it's always a hit or miss If the shower glass is installed correctly, you'll have no problems and you won't have to call him back - but in this case I had a issue with a leak due to their installation and this is the text he sent me. If i wouldve sealed underneath the quartz top we wouldve never noticed the water going through his glass. Hes Very unprofessional, he drilled his hardware past the quartz and into the shower pan. I would think they'd appreciate the amount of work I had provided them with. But thankfully i always mark up my costs so i can cover the cost for any irresponsible contractors who (like naythan) leave my clients hanging with problems. WONT be using them any longer. The store was closed with a sign on the door, notifying everyone that they were out on an installation, good for them. There was instruction to contact the number for assistance, I called the number and spoke to Nathan. He was cordial and after a short discussion, advised me to text him my requirements and details for the job. I did so, with very detailed and precise instructions, shape, size in inches, pencil point edges, etc., for three table top pieces. Tempered glass, 1/2 inch thick. Unfortunately, it has been over one week with no return call or text, not even a "I'm sorry, we are too busy, or we aren't competent to handle this job." Incredibly unprofessional. what a disappointment when attempting to support a local business. I was grateful to find, "Beach Cities Glass", just a short 1/2 block away. This guy was a loon to work with. Mis-ordered the replacement glass on the first go-round. When it came in correctly and we went to pick it up, my husband asked why they hadn't replaced the rubber gasket. Instead of just explaining why it was done that way, he gave my husband a look like "you idiot" which quickly escalated the situation and ended with us handing the glass back to him and taking the window elsewhere to be repaired - and it ended up being $60 cheaper at the other place. The younger guy in the shop (perhaps his son??) even decided to double down and join in with dad. They were so rude to us. I will not work with these folks again. read more

My back sliding door was destroyed by burglars. I called several companies and no one could even do an estimate for 6 days. I called Mission and got Nathan and he made time to come over that afternoon. He quoted a price that I felt was reasonable and he took the door with him. He was back the next week with the repaired door and the glass to repair the window they also broke (that wasn't tempered glass and I guess the little s**ts didn't want to cut themselves so they moved on to the door). I even called the owner and ask him if he wanted the job and to please let me know how much it would be and to send a formal estimate... Never came. This place is a joke. After the last 3 years of not having any glass needs, I called Mission Glass about a broken window and he jumped on it. During the glass install, his team helped fix my shower glass trim as well. After the job was done, I got a call from Randy asking if he could come back and fine tune the shower trim because he didn't have the preferred trim piece in his truck at the time. Even though I saw no problem with the shower, Randy asked to come back and install the alternate trim at no charge. On a late Friday afternoon, I needed an estimate because while moving, a mover put his elbow through 2, one open, and one stationary, window. They got me the quote which saved me. And, the following Monday, they came and repaired the windows on site. Nathan, the owner's son, was pleasant to have in my former home, and he did a great job. Got it all done in less than two hours. I was able to work with their guy Nathan this time. I shot him 3 photos of a 6"X6" glass window that was busted and he was able to get me a no nonsense quote for removal and replacement. Even better is I called him on a Friday and they had it completely resolved in less than 3 working days. We ordered over $450 worth of glass table top coverings. We had to correct they over-charged their original bid. Delivery was promised for Sat. We arranged our schedules around that. Fri.at the last minute, Mission Glass called and said they never sent the fax for our outside order. They offered to refund our deposit/cancel the order. We declined. Again, they promised Mon. delivery between 4:30-5:00. By 6PM, Mission Glass was a no-show, no phone call to alert us, etc. This time, we said we wanted the refund THEY offered on Fri. Randy Jones, owner, agreed to refund the deposit w/in 48 hours. A few minutes later he called and reneged. Several phone calls back and forth - the last one he hung up on us.
