I had a strange request and not an easy job that needed to be done. I rarely write reviews and feel inclined to rave about their company. They ordered my mirror and had it installed within 10 days . I ordered large equestrian arena mirrors which needed to be done a certain way and be safe around horses. The guys measures accurately and were able to work with my Existing mirrors and install the new mirrors perfectly in one day . This was a huge , demanding and precise job with horses on the property when they worked A long day. I had my master bathroom remodeled in mid 2020 for around $15,000 all inclusive. My contractor did everything except the shower glass and recommended Ace Mirror and Glass, saying he worked with them on every job. After the remodel was done, Ace came to measure for shower glass and a mirror. During the measurement the person asked where I wanted the glass installed. I said "wherever it's supposed to go, you guys are the experts." He then asked if I wanted more room in the shower or more room in the bathroom, and I said the shower. They installed the shower glass and everything looked fine at first. About a year later I noticed the stone on top of the shower curb starting to split at the seams, and the tiles on the outside edge starting to loosen. I called my contractor and he came to look. He said the shower glass was installed in the wrong place on the shower curb. The glass should have been centered where it is properly supported, but Ace installed it on the outside edge. He said they should not have asked me that question because the glass goes where it is supposed to and they should know that. He said there was nothing that could be done without ruining the large tiles because the glass was already drilled and mounted. Moving it would mean replacing tiles and stone, which would require re-doing most of the remodel. He epoxied the seams and hoped it would stop the settling. We did not call Ace at the time because my contractor said replacing the glass properly would require re-tiling the whole shower and replacing the stone curb, which we couldn't afford just after finishing the remodel. In early 2025 the curb seams came apart again and we started seeing water damage on the outside corners of the shower. The shower started sloping outward and a tile near where the glass attaches cracked, likely because the glass was not properly supported. Additionally, the mirror Ace sold us is now rusting around the top edge. This bathroom is well ventilated with a window, and we always leave the door open after showers. A quality mirror should not rust this badly after a few years. We called our contractor again and he said the shower likely needs to be completely re-done. He said he would contact Ace to see if they would help in some way, such as discounted replacement glass or replacing the rusty mirror, since their installation mistake caused the damage. Ace basically said it was too bad, that we should have contacted them sooner, and that the mirror only had a three-year warranty. The reality is we did not call earlier because we were told there was no fix without tearing out most of the shower. Maybe the contractor should have advised us to call Ace then, but it does not change the fact that Ace made a mistake that now requires a full bathroom remodel. This was not a minor issue. My contractor could not believe they installed the glass on the outside edge of the curb and said the installers did not seem to know what they were doing. Now in 2026 fixing this will cost around $25,000 before materials, and we still don't know what the water damage is under the tile. Bottom line: They are professionals. They installed the shower glass on the wrong part of the shower curb. That caused the curb to fail and tilt outward. Water no longer stays in the shower. My bathroom is damaged and has to be re-done. In response Ace told our contractor that we should have contacted them sooner. They may do fine work most of the time, but if they make a major mistake do not expect them to stand behind it. The pictures speak for themselves. Edit: In response to Ali's reply - my contractor uses Ace for nearly all of his jobs and said 100% this mistake was on Ace and they should have known the glass was to go in the middle of the curb where it's supported. There was no layout or dimensions provided to Ace. Ace came out and measured and specified the layout and dimensions themselves. Shame on Ali for being dishonest and saying they "just followed the layout provided". I trusted their expertise and they failed. They asked where to place the glass and I told them to place it "wherever it's supposed to go" because they are the experts. They then asked me if I wanted more room in the shower or in the bathroom. I said "In the shower, I guess". My contractor said they should have known not to install glass on the edge of the curb, which is just sitting on a face tile and clearly isn't supported. They followed their own layout and dimensions that they created themselves - so there's no one else to blame. If they were in doubt, I could have called my contractor for them. At this point I'm not looking for anything from Ace, but the condescending response and aggressive blame-shifting toward both the contractor and customer, instead of simply acknowledging the situation, is something people should keep in mind when deciding who to hire. read more
