The K Street location is gorgeous and having free parking is a huge bonus. I really appreciate that they offer both heated and non-heated classes, so there's something for everyone. During my first visit, the staff member gave me a thorough rundown of the studio and explained that all the props I'd need were already set up at my mat -- such a nice touch. I also love that they provide bala bangles and mats, and that spots are pre-assigned to keep things organized. I can't wait to try more classes!

studio78 was an AMAZING experience! this is a woman owned workout class gym that offers strength,…read morepilates, cardio, and more. i went with classpass's 1 month free trial so i was able to get a spot in kim v's class. i've been trying out different classes around boston and so far studio78 has been my favorite! it is tucked away off of elkins st in south boston so it is probably best to drive to the location (ample parking around). bring a water bottle and a mat towel (i brought a beach towel). they provide all other equipment. it is on the 4th floor as well so walk up stairs or wait for the elevator. the studio is clean, well organized, and the staff is very friendly. every little station is set up! they gave me a little postcard thanking me for coming which i thought was super sweet. they will assign you a spot as well. they also have a bevi machine if you want to fill up your water bottle. the class itself was great! i did a STRENGTH78 class and for a 45 minute workout it focused on abs, lower body, and upper body. definitely some movements i will be incorporating for mat work next time i am in the gym! i will definitely be considering joining full time :)

I have mixed feelings yelping about this place, since no one seems to know about it and its nice having a little local hidden treasure. The studio is beautiful, with lots of equipment for a great practice. It is such a calm peaceful place, which works so well with Natalie's spiritual and mindful approach to yoga (as oppose to the cardio/competitive gym yoga). Qi is located in a beautiful building that is a delight to walk in. It's located on the fourth floor, where you walk in to the reception with a nice couch, lighting, and view. The receptionist is very nice and welcoming. I have not experienced any massage or other kinds of therapy, but the space in the fourth floor is both huge and beautiful. It has spectacularly furnished massage rooms and other rooms with just couches and large windows. I am assuming they will be rooms for consultations or offices for Qi's practitioners, but they are incredibly nice nonetheless. The bathrooms are also spotless. The yoga I have done is on the 7th floor, so you have to take the elevator up. Once getting there, the yoga studio is large and has natural light flowing in from the windows facing Boylston Avenue, which is great. This yoga studio doesn't have a door though, so the noise from the elevator can creep in. The studio has mats (albeit cheap ones) that you can use and plenty of blankets, blocks, bolsters, straps, and all yoga material you can think of. Everything is sparkling new. The floor is wooden and beautiful, but a bit dusty, but the entire place is so clean I just assume this is something they are going to take care of. The instructors I had classes with were all superbly nice, but I am new to yoga and can't really attest to their knowledge and skills. What I can say is that sessions are longer than I have experienced at other places and the instructors were all very patient and seemed genuinely excited to be there. Overall, great place, and I hope that they improve their website so that online registration becomes easier.

When you arrive, note that the yoga studio is located in the same building as Life Alive, a health restaurant. Personal preference, I enjoyed the class at Hotbox much more. This class seemed to be a bit more advanced, with a focus on breathing and technique. Most people knew the names of the poses offhand and didn't look up at the instructor as much. The room itself was a bit cramped and I accidentally touched the feet of the person behind and beside me. That being said, I enjoyed the experience of hot yoga and left feeling refreshed. Be sure to bring your own yoga mat, as they require you to rent them otherwise (seems odd to me, as the classes are already quite expensive and the rental mats were of low quality). I'd recommend for those with more yoga experience, but I don't think I would personally return.

They don't take credit cards and I didn't have cash, but the teacher let me take the class anyway and send a check later ($17 for a drop-in rate, though it's cheaper if you sign up for the class series). The class was well-taught -- the teacher knew her stuff and placed the correct amount of emphasize on anatomical correctness and breath. But it just wasn't for me. It's an older, less physical crowd than I'm used to, and the class really didn't feel like much of a workout. I know, yoga isn't all about asana, but I work in an office and sit nearly motionless all day. Yoga class is my time to move and sweat, and I barely did either. Afterwards I just wanted to go home and sleep. But if you want low-intensity yoga for relaxation and restoration, this is a good place. The space was clean and nice (though the ceiling felt low and gloomy and the room was cooold), and they have a wonderful assortment of props (mats, blocks, blankets, eye pillows).
