On February 25th, their first available appointment was May 7th…read more I waited two and a half months to get in (10 long weeks of waiting with terrible pain) I have severe corpal tunnel syndrome needing surgery on both hands. The neurologist said I was one of the worst cases he had seen in a very long time. I had marked my calendar for a 2pm appt. NBO, actually scheduled me for 1:30 and I did not catch the error. I arrived at 2:10pm. Yes, late due to things out of my control. After waiting at the check in window for 5 minutes with neither receptionist acknowledging my presence, the receptionist informed me that my appt had been canceled and I owed a $50 no show fee and would need to reschedule. I explained that I had 2pm on my calendar and yes I was 10 minutes late but had waited over 2 months to get in. With zero expression or concern for my condition, she repeated: you'll need to reschedule. I respectfully stated I would need to find a surgeon in San Antonio.(we are moving soon) She gave me an I don't care look, shrugging a shoulder, closed the window like she was glad and resumed her work on her computer. There was only one patient in the waiting room. When I used to take my mom there, the wait to see the doctor was always at least an hour and the waiting room was typically full. Perhaps that's improved but today made me feel as if the patients are just numbers to them and they don't care to have new patients needing surgery ASAP. Now I have to start over as the nerves in my hands continue to disintegrate and muscles atrophy ( per the neurologist) and functionality diminishes. I hope others have a better experience. It was a very cold experience for me and rare for me to write a negative review.

Also they played the Christian music radio the entire time, even in the patient room. Not a big deal, but why in the patient room during the appointment with the doctor?

Dr Girling and the PA, Kerri Allen are wonderful! I highly recommend them. My problem is with the…read moreoffice management or lack thereof. I received notice that I had an appointment and I believed it was an error. I tried over and over to get answers on the necessity of me coming in after a procedure. I have had Durlane injections on multiple occasions and this was never a requirement. The bot answering service told me that I had to come in or I would have to pay $50 for missing an appointment. I asked to speak to a live person and I held for at least 20 minutes. Every time I try to talk to a live person in this office, I am put on hold and I receive a message stating that "there are 10 people ahead of me" I finally was able to talk to a live person. She told me that this appt. was indeed a requirement. So I came in for the appointment that I didn't need, I paid my co-pay, and I waited an hour and 10 minutes. I asked the staff how much longer to see the PA and was told there were two people ahead of me. I asked again why I even needed to be there for this appointment and no one could give me an answer. I told them I wanted to talk to the manager and was told the director was out and that he would call me. This was yesterday and it's now after hours and I've yet to hear from him. I would've called today, but I didn't want to go through the nonsense of talking to AI or holding for 20 more minutes. Unfortunately, I'm seriously thinking of going to another group in spite of really appreciating the medical staff. God help us poor souls in a world of AI "efficiency" and corporate greed.

The front desk makes minimal eye contact, both when you're coming and going. Also, as somebody who is also in the healthcare field, it's frustrating when the front desk staff doesn't use complete sentences. Simply looking at their computer and saying " July 2nd?" does not specify anything that will elicit an answer from a patient. Furthermore, I waited in my exam room for 42 minutes. The doctor came in while I had six minutes left before I needed to go. I told her I was disappointed and felt that doing an entire intake and trying to explore my entire health history in six minutes, felt both inappropriate and like an unfair burden to me as I was there on time. Additionally, their entire patient portal system was down. She could not open a file for me, could not take notes, and could not put any recommendations for follow up care in. I left there without receiving a service, with no follow up plan, and even after being there for an entire hour, their system was still down and thus could not officially be "checked out." It took a lot for me to get to that appointment. I rearranged my own private practice, had all of my children babysat by somebody, and went there only to waste over an hour of my time and be no further along in my healthcare journey. Truly disappointing. Additionally, we simply have no idea what people are going through. It could take somebody all the courage in the world to step foot into a doctor's office and to be left alone in a room for 45 minutes without any communication is jarring.
