The majority of people riding on this train are lower class income people that has no personal etiquette. This train is out of control. This line lacks safety for your well-being. You hardly see security or law enforcement on this line. Beware of this line, you will encounter all types of people that are crazy, deranged, violent, smelly, loud, strange, weird etc.. You name it. Overall, it's a solid line for transportation from Point A-B. It's safe pertaining to engineering and train conductors. The people inside determines your experience. Ride at your own risk. This depends on the individual riding. If you have street smart and have a thick coat to tolerate these kind of things. You are good to go. So that is why I put a Maybe in rating. Some info on screens n trains are even wrong as it shows in one photo attached here. Train at PCH listed that the (wrong) stop was Washington and Vernon. * Delays due to constant reparations, conductors breaks and traffic * Unfortunately trains stop at every single traffic light (20-30) in downtown LB/LA. Millions of dollars spent on Metro Upgrade 5 or 6 years ago, did not invest one thousand bucks synchronizing traffic lights at all. Ride to LB-LA still 55-58 minutes for the entire 36 years, * Noise, people playing music. People loudly chatting. * Stink and dirt. Most stations are not kept and trains Stink. * Non paying riders, estimated 60 % of people n trains and stations * People using drugs, drinking alcohol, eating and smoking * Shopping carts full of trash and debris * Vendors, selling from phone chords, candies and some do sell even weed. * Most shocking, people being beaten, assaulted, robbed and even killed inside trains and platforms. Long Beach is the big city but it's also really just a big suburb of Los Angeles, although the residents of LB maybe wouldn't be happy to hear me say that. Its Greyhound terminal is very understated, it feels suburban rather than major, and it's just a small building with not too much going on. It's mainly a bus station for the regional services, so that's why it doesn't have too many facilities and isn't too large. Most people just come into the main downtown Los Angeles Greyhound station and then take the public transportation all over the city from there, including the many buses or trains down to LB. But it's totally up to you how you want to do it.
