My story is pretty simple, yet complex. I had found a vintage old/new stock Chicago Bears Denim Jacket with some very detailed embroidery on it. However, the jacket was built with a cheaply made orange vinyl overlay on the collar. It was uncomfortable and unsightly. One day I just removed the overlay hoping to simply stitch a harvested collar from another jacket. Unfortunately, the job was harder than I expected. I contacted Arnold, and what I received was much more than customer service. What I received was a person who cared so deeply about his craft that he wanted to make sure that I would be ultimately getting exactly what I needed to save the vintage jacket as rebuilding collars are not simple (now I know). In short, Arnold did amazing work both finding harvested denim and rebuilding a collar that was even better than the original. He also inserted fabric in the collar that ensured it kept its shape and laid perfectly symmetrical with the jacket. Finally, Arnold showed me that customer service is not a lost art and ensuring customer trust is paramount. I highly recommend taking any of your denim to Arnold, you'll be glad you did........and you may even make a life long friend. Pictures speak a thousand words, so I'll leave some photos of the original jacket look, after I screwed it it up, and finally, Arnold's work! I had a favorite pair of jeans that I only needed the waist taken in. Picked up the clothes 2 weeks later. When I put them on the next day, I realized that he also shortened them. He took 3 inches off the length. We never discussed shortening, he didn't pin them up at the cuff, there was no talk of hemming. So I went back the next day to show him how short they were compared to another pair that I have that are identical. He simply said, "Too late." I'm in shock and my jeans are ruined. He offered no help, no refund, no nothing?!! Clearly we won't go back. I guess they have enough business to not care.

On behalf of the preservation of self character, Feel disheartened by the comments and remarks made by customers. Have never in 12 years ever received a negative comments as to the porfessional service provided to all and every type of customer. That being a United States Military Veteran USMC only serve in the work place with respectful dignity. Showing every individual Respect, Privacy, and Compassion. The Bridal Collection as any Bridal Boutique offers luxury wedding dress's on designer lines, is forward in ordering time frame and is honest with the customers that visit thier establishment. Every customer is greeted. Established a fitting room, and offered assistance as needed. I as a sales rep. Will Stand outside the door and ask from outside the door if my assistance is needed. Only entering after being told to enter. A part of my experence with you is to walk you a stage if desired. Compliment you and provided you any desired feed back requested. Such as pricing, designers names, and ordering times. I will also tell you that you look beautiful in every dress, that's because you as the customer is all that matters. The Bridal Collection does offer a large selection and often times can meet the needs of any Bride that visits the location. However some times we can not, which is not uncommon. Caring about what people say about you is important, and asking a customer before they leave if there is any suggestions to improve over all atmosphere is called playing it safe. There seems to be a cultural motivation towards objectification in some industry's. I will always provide the best customer service to every customer with in correct ethic and work place allowence. My only advice to any bride, is that every store is diffrent. That if visiting our location, my promise to you is a friendly greeting, attentive service, and a friendly goodbye with all the best wishes on your wedding day. I my self being a mother and a service member am very grounded in my intake and responsible nature with customers. Please Remember that it's only your person that leaves a remark as to insight. That comments of immature nature and or distasteful remarks to any persons person are an example of your own maturity and self professionalism. Do remember employees with in the work place are people too. There is an intolerance to abuse towards employees by customers in the work place. An employee providing assistance to you is hired to provided safety to the establishment in which a service from the employee is paid for. To provided a pleasant experence and over all to answer any questions you might have. Some questions having an I don't know answer to a question, happens. The Bridal Collection is a fantastic boutique to visit and a fantastic place to purchase your wedding dress day needs from for your special day. This is a great place to shop for wedding dresses! The store is lovely and welcoming with an impressive variety of dress styles and price points. In my personal wedding dress search I went to five bridal shops and The Bridal Collection was one of the best. It is very organized, clean, and the sales consultants are very sweet and knowledgeable. I went to the store three times; once when I had very little idea what I wanted, once with a specific dress in mind (they were the only store that carried it near me), and one last time to buy the dress I had tracked down. I found the employees to be extremely helpful on all my visits, even on the first one where I did not have the intention of buying anything. On my second visit I fell head over heels for the dress I had seen online but due to the number of months until my wedding, wasn't sure we could get it in time without a rush charge. The consultant (Noelle, I believe, was her name) talked to the owner and he agreed to sell me the sample gown for a discount! It is also extremely worth noting that the original price of my dress, if I had ordered a new one through The Bridal Collection, would still have been about $500 cheaper than I was seeing it sold for at other stores while I was searching for the dress. My only apprehension about the dress was that alterations would be too expensive, but fortunately another sales consultant there, Alla, is also a seamstress! I was able to make an appointment with her to get an alterations quote, which was half the cost I expected! I was able to buy my dress that night and take it home (they offered to store it but having it hanging in my room makes me so happy). Some reviews mention being put-off by being asked to fill out a form upon arriving, but I have found filling out a questionnaire to be very standard at Bridal Shops. This form allows the sales consultant helping you to respect your budget and write notes on styles you liked for future visits. Also, as far as I could tell, the store is split in sections by budget so asking you upfront about your budget it informs the sales consultant where to show you dresses in the store. Personally, I think this is a great way to respect a bride's budget because is less likely to see and fall in love with a dress she can't afford. Within the price sorted sections, dresses are hung in groups by style; This was a nice change from other bridal shops that seem cluttered and unorganized. Other reviews also mentioned feeling pushed into making a purchase, which was not at all my experience. I certainly felt that they were willing to work with me to get the sale (allowing me to make payments) but I never felt pressured to buy a dress I did not like. I would recommend The Bridal Collection to both the bride who knows what she wants and the bride that needs to explore her options. The dress selection is one the best in the area and the sales ladies here are some of the most knowledgeable I met while looking for my dress. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!! I called to see if they carried a particular dress that a designer had listed this shop as the nearest retailer for their collection. The man (owner/manager i assume) answered and asked me the name and style number and put me on hold. He then came back and told me YES they had that dress. I asked to make an appointment and he told me they were booked for the next two weekends and asked if i could come in on a weeknight. I do not live in the area but really wanted this dress so I agreed to make the trip out there after work . I decided to call and verify my appointment time and the guy told me that he did not have any appointments scheduled for that night. This was the appointment HE MADE me take in the first place and yet forgot to write it down. He told me that the "girl" had called in sick and there would be nobody to help me and asked if I could reschedule for another night. I told him I ONLY wanted to try the one dress on and he said, " you can come try on dresses, there just wont be anybody here to help you with them". By now I was just irritated but figured I was perfectly capable of trying on a dress without the assistance of his "girl". The best part of the story is that I arrived, he told me to look around and choose 3 dresses to try on. And when I asked him for the dress I had called about he ignored me. When I didn't see that dress in the store I asked him again, he played dumb and asked me what dress I was looking for and I showed him on my phone. He went in the back to look and came back and told me he had sold it off the rack over the weekend. AS IF I AM AN IDIOT and don't know that you don't sell the sample dresses! I expressed that I was disappointed and that it was the reason I came to the store in the first place. and yet still had my 3 dresses to try. When my mom handed him mine after I had tried and said I wanted to try one other dress, he told her " no, I have another appointment and I told her that she can only try on 3 dresses". HE TOLD ME EARLIER ON THE PHONE THAT HE HAD NO APPOINTMENTS FOR THAT NIGHT!!! There was not a soul in the store other than My mother and myself. This guy is shady and he boldfaced lied to me about having the dress to get me in the store. I drove in rush hour traffic 30 miles to this place! This was a total waste of my time and by far the most frustrating dress shopping experience ever! Who says you can only try on 3 dresses?!?! The fact that this guy has been in business since 1993 is beyond me, and from reading the other reviews I see that my experience wasn't far off from so many. Go to Pebbles in Woodland Hills, the girls are wonderful and beyond helpful. I had a total of 4 appointments at various bridal salons scheduled, but the Bridal Collection ended up being the best for my daughter. My daughter looking for Maggie Sottero retailers via The Knot, and Bridal Collection appeared within a reasonable distance from my search area. After reading several reviews and browsing their website, me and my daughter were convinced we had to add Bridal Collection to my list. My daughter was fortunate to book an early Saturday appointment with myself and her sister. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Madelin and other staff members. Madelin introduced herself as my daughter's stylist, and wasted no time in encouraging me to select as many gowns as I liked. I showed her a picture of cuts I liked, and she led me to the area of the shop that carried those styles. There was much to choose from! After making 8 selections, I began fitting, she was extra helpful in getting me zipped up, adjusting the samples to fit my body as best as possible, and laying out the trains of each dress(where applicable), also that I had the best representation of the final product. She was also kind enough to allow my sister to take photographs- which was super helpful in making my decision. Believe it or not, I knew the first one I tried on was the one! I tried all my selections, never less, and there was actually a close runner up that I said yes to, on account of my mom and sisters reaction. LOL once the excitement whittled, however, they recalled the first dress with me because they love it too, and after reviewing photographs, I was certain my initial choice was the right one. Madelin was patient through my decision-making process, and it made the experience that much more incredible. I also appreciated the fact that even though I am fairly late in my dress process(6 months to go!) Madelin did not give me the least bit of anxiety or pressure about it(while other salons did that just over the phone). My appointment ended with measurement, payment, and logistics. Madelin was thorough in talking measurements, as well as explaining upcoming appointments, alterations, color swatches, and payment information. I met Mike and another stylist during my measurements, and they were great too! So all together the entire team was genuine, and they all took the time to make sure I was comfortable with every detail, every step of the way. I am so happy I did not read the negative reviews this place got before I went into the Bridal Collection. I was with four family members and we called in the morning and they got us a same-day appointment. Upon arrival to the appointment, Megan greeted me and had me fill out a form with my name, wedding date, and budget. I showed her some pictures of ideas I had... I am a very simple person and explained that to her and she was very accommodating and pulled out many dresses that were exactly what I was looking for. I had Megan and another employee help me get dressed and pin the dresses when needed. They were so helpful and easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. The second dress I tried on I knew immediately was the one, I was glowing and it was the only dress that made me think, "OMG I am getting married," it made it all so real for me. I decided to try on the rest of the dresses but none of them made me feel that way. My mom personally loved a different dress I tried on and it was more pricey than the one I loved. Instead of trying to push the more expensive dress on me they knew as well as which one I loved. I was going to sleep on it and come back the next day which they were totally okay with, so I felt no pressure. However, as I was walking out the door and saw a picture of the dress and thought to myself, "OH I love that one!" and then realized it was the one I wanted, so I walked back in and decided to get it. My overall experience was amazing and both employees were amazing and very helpful. I never felt pressured and I felt my requests were heard and understood from the moment I walked in the door. These girls were so easy to talk to and easy to relate to, I felt like I could be myself and find the dress that actually fit me and who I am. I was excited at the opportunity to check out this shop as it is right around the corner from my place of work, and I finally had an excuse! I brought my sister and my mother with me to my appointment. I had no expectations and just planned on having a fun day trying on wedding dresses. Honestly, from just passing by this shop I was a little worried that I may not find anything in my price range. It is such a beautiful and elegant looking bridal boutique with the most gorgeous dresses in the window. When we arrived Megan (who ended up being my bridal consultant) very nicely greeted us and introduced herself. She asked me some questions and I filled out a form about myself and wedding details etc. She really listened to all of my responses and told me to roam the shop and pull what I liked. What? I know how this goes, I fall in love with a dress, then find out its WAY out of my price range and wind up spending my cake money on my dress. Still, I went with it, and I pulled way more dresses than I needed. As I tried on dress after dress, Megan, connected even more with me. We were giggling and swapping stories as she helped me get in and out of dresses. When I finally found the dress (yes THE dress) she pointed out that it was the only dress that I didn't mention needing any changes and she was so right. I'm really glad I ended up with her as a consultant and the dress was in my range! All of their dresses ended up being very affordable and they literally have an endless selection of styles. It's like wedding dress heaven! Each dress looked and felt delicate and luxurious. The best part is that this shop follows up with you after you purchase your dress. I came in on Black Friday since it was the only time that everyone in my (very small) "entourage" could make. I made an appointment ahead of time and showed up on time. Madeleine, one of the consultants, had called me earlier in the day to be sure that I was still available for the appointment and she was also the lady that I worked for to get a dress. She was incredibly helpful and asked what I wanted. I had never been dress shopping before and only have a vague idea of what I wanted, but she helped me pick out some dresses to try on. She was as excited as my family and I were to find a dress that would work for me. She didn't try to pressure me into anything, but brought out a dress that was actually different than what I initially thought I wanted and asked if I wanted to try it on since she thought it would look good on me. Well, I ended up getting that dress! The shop is really well organized, has a wide selection of dresses at different price points (I was looking for a more inexpensive dress), and I loved working with Madeleine. On the day I went there were no other brides or families shopping, but when I went in the next day (a Saturday) to purchase the dress after thinking about it overnight, there were multiple families, some that didn't have appointments that were excitedly walking through the store and trying some dresses on. I liked being able to have the store be a "private trial" so if that is what you are looking for, I recommend going during the week/on a holiday (just be sure to email or call them about it ahead of time). read more

The most important dress of any woman's life is her wedding dress. I've always dreamed of looking and feeling like a princess on my wedding day. Finally, I got my chance at that! The Bridal Collection in Thousand Oaks was always a bridal dress shop that I had my eye on after passing by it so many times, so I booked an appointment there right away. I brought with me my mom, my grandma and my maid of honor to help me make my important decision. The store was very beautiful, it had dainty floral chairs, huge mirrors, a chandelier and just so many details that made me feel very elegant and glamorous while shopping. We were greeted by Megan my bridal consultant. My appointment began by talking a tour of the shop and after that we were allowed to browse the gowns on our own and choose which ones I would like to try on. After trying on a few dresses and not quite getting that "wow" factor I was looking for, I tried on another and there it was, "the one". As soon as I slipped it on I knew it was the one. I couldn't help but think of my fiancé in that moment. I pictured him speechless as I walked down the aisle. I showed my party and everyone gave it a 10! I did try on one more dress juuust to be sure but that one didn't even compare, so I got back into the winner. After that my bridal consultant, Megan, helped me pick out all the details from my veil to my jewelry. If you're even considering going to this store because the reviews from other customers suggest they have gorgeous dresses, save yourself the headache, literally. My budget was 1500$, and immediately I was shuffled to the back of the store where all their "off the rack" dresses are. They are all absolutely disgusting, both by quality and sanitary standards. First off, I left the store with a severe migraine and a rash all over my back and stomach because the dresses are absolutely filthy on the inside. There was a cockroach behind one of the dresses I pulled out and what appeared to be some kind of feces near the door of the dressing room. I do work for the state, and let me tell you this place is in violation of so many codes. Secondly, the owner completely micro manages his employees and while I'm trying to make the best of this experience, the owner continually makes remarks and doesn't let the WOMAN working with me do her job. I don't want to be stared at while I'm in a dress by some creepy dude who keeps telling me I'm beautiful! If you're wondering why I went here, One of my girlfriends sent me here as she did tell me the customer service she received with her bridal consultant a few months ago was amazing and she did wind up finding her dress here. But upon asking for the same bridal consultant my girlfriend had, the owner abruptly said that she no longer works here. This place definately leaves a lot to be desired. read more

I came to the Bridal Collection to find a wedding dress after searching and visiting a couple of other shops. I am unfortunately on a time crunch as my wedding is only a month away and I was unable to find that perfect dress at previous stores. They did not have a good selection of dresses I could take off the rack and were telling me it was a 6 month wait for a special order. I'm excited I was able to find The Bridal Collection. Their store is very beautifully laid out and they had a very large selection of off the rack styles, yay! They also are having a sale on all dresses so I was able to find the dress of my dreams at a very affordable price. The staff was very helpful. I booked an appointment first via their website which made things even easier for me when I arrived. The staff was very friendly and Madeline was my bridal consultant. She was very helpful and helped me pick out a nice selection of dresses that I would be able to buy off the rack and sure enough find the dress of my dreams that I could purchase same day. I visited this shop with my granddaughter and daughter. This is the first shop that we visited and I just came along to view the dresses that she was trying on for her upcoming wedding. We had no intentions to actually make a purchase that day. We didn't even have an appointment. The owner, Mike, greeted us warmly and asked us a few questions to determine what styles we wanted and the budget we had. He was happy to show us many dresses in different styles within our price range. Not once did we feel bad because our budget was so low. He offered us refreshments and was very hospitable. My granddaughter was able to try on a variety of dresses and found exactly what she wanted. The owner of the store was extremely helpful and cordial. He offered tips on how my daughter could attach a bustle herself so that she did not have to pay someone else to do it. He didn't try to talk us into trying on more expensive gowns or adding expensive accessories. In fact, he felt like the dress she chose looked better without the $300 belt that she asked to try on with it. He was very respectful of her need for a modest dress and we were all very comfortable and relaxed during the whole process . We will definitely recommend this store to our friends. read more

The Bridal Collection was the third bridal shop I visited in search of a wedding dress. As my friend and I were looking around the store, Caley was pulling dresses that fit my budget and the style I was looking for. I ended up only finding three that I wanted to try on but the first one I tried...which Caley had pulled for me...looked amazing!! It was the most flattering and unique wedding dress I had tried on...and within my budget! My friend was convinced that it was "the one" and I knew I had to come back to try it on with my Mom and sister-in-law. I already had an appointment scheduled at J.Crew to try on their dresses the following week so I went but didn't find anything that I liked as much as the dress at The Bridal Collection. I ordered my dress in early February and it arrived in just over 2 months. My wedding is not until August but I am so relieved to have it in advance and not have to stress about getting it altered in time. Overall I had a really pleasant experience at the store and found the sales people and owners to be friendly. Also, I grew up in Newbury Park and like being able to support a local business. I would definitely recommend the Bridal Collection to anyone in the area looking for a dress! read more

Wow!! I am leaving my appointment at The Bridal Collection in Thousand Oaks and i just feel over the moon! I had spoken to Noelle, the floor manager the day prior to my appointment on the phone and she reassured me she would do her best to make it a fun and enjoyable experience, and wow did she underestimate herself! Noelle took the time to get to know me and my style and picked out a variety of dresses from the Bridal Collection excellent selection. The dresses she found and helped me pick out were beyond my expectations. I found my dress and said "yes to the dress" in literally almost under an hour! Shopping can be stressful for me, but Noelle took the best care of me and made me feel comfortable, confident, and stress free. This was one of the best experiences of my life, and one that i will definitely never forget! I feel blessed to have been able to work with their amazing staff, and will be highly recommending this place to others. I was sent home with a bottle of champagne for my family and still can not stop smiling. I am surprised when reviewing all of these bad ratings since I had the polar opposite experience. This was the fourth stop for me and to be honest I was not hopeful! Much to my surprise I ended up finding my dress! I called ahead for my appointment and was able to schedule a same day appointment. Once I arrived I was greeted at the door by a very nice consultant her name was also Alli, she directed me to fill out an info card and then she began by asking a series of questions.. where my venue was, when the wedding date was, what styles I had tried on so far etc. She was very helpful. I was able to go ahead and look at the dresses myself while Alli helped guide me and also picked her favs that she thought I would like(she was spot on)! I was able to try on many dresses, there is no magic number of dresses that you can try on which is nice. I ended up finding the gown of my dreams after a long drawn out dress shopping experience! Another plus.... THEY SERVE CHAMPAGNE LADIES! this was such a great experience with the important ladies in my life who helped me through this stressful process! Where do I begin? My experience at The Bridal Collection was lovely. They have a wide variety of dresses (more than most bridal salons) and they're priced cheaper than other bridal salons. I went in with my best friend to help her choose her wedding dress for the big day. We explained to the staff what we were looking for and they were very helpful. Not only did they choose dresses according to what we were looking for, but also allowed us to browse their selection for ourselves. They're dresses were all so beautiful, but when our bride finally made her decision the staff of The Bridal Collection popped open a bottle of champagne for us to celebrate! So sweet of them and made our experience that much more special and not to mention fun! We even got her veil and accessories here making it a one-stop-shop. Overall we truly enjoyed our experience here and I personally can't wait to go back for my wedding! P.S. The store is newly remodeled (all marble floors and crystal chandeliers)! We had an appointment The Bridal collection for my daughter Samantha, who is getting married in October. It is my first Daughter to be married, so the afternoon was quite special! When we originally called they told us only four people allowed at one time. My daughter told them we must have her grandmother attend and they broke the rules and allowed us to have five people so that grandma could join! We thought it was just going to be a casual try on of dresses for the first time, but we ended up saying YES to the dress! The staff at the bridal collection made it very special for us with champagne, ringing of the bell, making wishes, and making of true fuss over the bride! It was a beautiful, emotional day for us and Noelle was fabulous! She was our sales rep And my daughter Samantha loved her! Thank you for making our very special day, exceptional! I got my dress there today!! I've driven by this place multiple times and always dreamed of getting my wedding dress there because it looks SOOO fancy. When I got engaged I was finally able to visit the store with a reason. I was afraid to go in to find that all the dresses were out of my price range because of how fancy the store looks. To my surprise, all the dresses were very reasonably priced so I was far more excited to be there. I showed the staff pictures of my ideas and they (and each girl that I brought with me) picked a dress for me to try on. Sure enough, the two dresses I fell in love with were picked by the staff! They did a great job working with my needs and style and new exactly what I wanted. They had a lot of patience for me even through the dozen dresses I tried on. I felt really comfortable the entire time there and the set up is awesome! They really set the bride up to have the spot light for the day. I loved my experience here! read more

I wish I would have never come here. This place almost ruined my wedding. We did not receive the dresses in the time promised, they were three weeks late. Mike is rude and does NOT know anything about active listening or how to put a customer at ease. He is contradictory in his speech and reasoning as well as disrespectful. He failed miserably and then lied in an attempt to cover it up. The worst part is that he never returned phone calls and would not take responsibility for any of his mistakes. I tried to work something out with him but his response was, WHATS IT TO ME. He has an employee that works for him who IS respectful, courteous and professional. He could take lessons from this employee. If you are looking to have good old fashioned customer service, this is not the place to go. Steer clear away and go somewhere where they will still treat you with respect after they take your money. I give it NEGATIVE 1 STARS!!!! read more

ZERO. STRIKE OUT. BAD FORM. What a grump of an owner, a real-time Eboneazor Scrooge!! Our wedding dress consultant was a doll, but the awful Creep-of-Owner kept trying to interrupt our appointment with grunts and bah-humbugs. We drove from up to 2.5hrs away for this appointment, with confirmation that a certain style of a bridesmaid dress was ordered and in stock - which was false. It was it there. And what was worse, the owner chimed in from the back office that the exact style of dress was discontinued. AGAIN- False! What the hell!?! At least come out to the front, not make your wonderful staff do your dirty work, and own up to your screw-up! Will NEVER EVER EVER go here again, or recommend it, and I hope all of the girls get the guts to LEAVE working for this stinky tight-wad of a boss, and go work where they would be appreciated! read more

I came in as a walk in and was greeting by the girl who eventually helped me make the biggest decision for my wedding! I worked with Alissa and after almost two hours of going back and forth between trying on dresses, I found the one! She brought me six dresses, all of which were so beautiful. She informed me that some of them were available for purchase of the rack at a discounted rate, but I decided to place an order for a new one. My entire family was impressed by the service we received with Alissa, even my mom had to give her a hug full of tears! We have been shopping around for what felt like forever, to countless stores, and needless to say The Bridal Collection and Alissa were the best!
