Oh wow, I used to come here back in the day. I'm talking about way back in the day, like 1902. I don't recall the previous name, but they were the best, and experiencing them now under Mister Car Wash, I must say they are still the best detail place in Austin. Yes, the name has changed, but it's a name we all know. It's a few things that were added, like the big umbrellas to keep the staff cool from the Austin heat. Now the old place had umbrellas, too. Not as big, but there were umbrellas. The sitting area outside is really nice; it's more of a bar-style seating area with the whole area being shaded. The inside lobby is the same. Now I could have taken more pictures, but it was so crowded, and I didnt want people to think I was crazy snapping away. But the most important thing is that the prices remained the same. What was supposed to be a routine car wash turned into a nightmare. My license plate came out bent and damaged. The manager was conveniently "at lunch" and never came out to address it. An employee took a report, and I'm still waiting to hear from their office. The worst part? Staff tried to gaslight me; one employee pointed at my plate and said "you see, it's loose," as if the damage was my fault. I've washed my car at plenty of places, this has NEVER happened. The Ugly: :: i put my jeep wrangler unlimited through twice bc the first time major areas were completely overlooked/passed and the same spots still were skipped. my jeep had been covered in road dust and was not caked on (i have a video where i literally take my finger and swiped some easily off without any effort but can't seem to upload it). you can see in the attached photos and videos what it looked like after going through TWICE. depending on your vehicle's size and dimensions, you may or may not get a clean wash :: i reached out to the location to get a refund and they haven't reached out still...it's been almost 2 months. i give up. Would I go back? Hell to the no thanks. Charging people a premium of $24 for what amounts to a half-baked car wash, then ghosting on communications from a customer service perspective, is complete and total horseshit. My partner and I brought our cars to this Mister Car Wash for a desperatly needed refresh inside and out. This location unlike some of the others full-service interior and exterior clearing. As of today July 2025 it's about $46 to get their Titanium wash which comes with all the fixins as well as a full rub down of all the dirty little corners of your car. I was impressed with how good a job was done. The difference was night and day. I even paid the extra dollar to have their power was my the floor mats, totally worth it! **One advisement I have for this car wash.** There is an interior line and an exterior line you can drive up to. If you want interior service done YOU MUST GO TO THAT LINE FIRST. We made the mistake of choosing the exterior line and ended up in some confusion. Thankfully after speaking with the manager. We were able to sort it out, they gave us a refund for the exterior and we were able to purchase the interior as well as the exterior as a package. They only sell the interior as a combined deal so you cannot add it on later with out paying the full price for both interior and exterior (again). I have let them know that they should have signage identifying interior first as who knows how many people might have done the same as me but then simply left not speaking up or feeling like they didn't get what they came for. ## Special shout out to the manager Nick, and Lacy who had to handle me through my confusion not understanding the system. For some reason it seems the reviews for this place are unnecessarily poor. I've been coming here for years and never really had a problem. Today, I was in a rush but they were moving quickly. The entire place has been remodeled with upgrades. I'm one who consistently waits too long for car washes; however, my vehicle always comes out looking brand new when I leave. They hand dry and finish the cars so it's much better than the drive thru places. read more

I will never come back here again, unless it's for them to take care of the mess they left me with. I came by on 12/21/24 for a wash, they sold me on the most expensive one for 48 I believe, & then off it went. First off, they wasn't paying attention to the cars getting stacked up as they were exiting the wash, & mine almost rear ended another car until one of their workers ran to stop it. They pull it around & start to dry it & "clean the interior" As I was watching them, they told me it was ready to go, then realized they forgot to clean the interior, so in a quick second, sprayed cleaner indiscriminately on dash & radio, & gave it a once over. I get in, & my radio is dead, from them spraying it directly. It was not responding & still is not working. I told the kid who cleaned it & he denies spraying it even though I saw him do it. Radio was working when I came in to the vacuums & the workers there saw. I left with the intent to fix it later & check my car at home cause they had a lady in a red ford suv arguing with them cause they didn't do a good job with their car either, I didn't have time to wait for them to address my concern at that time. I get home & I see they didn't clean the windshield right, they didn't vacuum underneath the floor mats, they didn't clean the center console at all, they half cleaned the dash, there was still a lot of dust all over the dash, the cluster, the trim panels. The exterior looked cleaner but there were so many swirl marks, it didn't look good in the sun, it's like they reused dirty towels to dry the body. I took pics of everything & a video of the radio not working while I was at the wash(I recorded the business too). I was an avid fan of this business. It's the only place I take my car to get washed. It's been since this past summer that I last went there. Today I showed up and I kind of had sticker shock. I want your basic wash with a vacuum cost. However, I went on through. When I got my car back the seat was shoved so far forward I could not get in. My console was open and appeared to have been rummaged through. My review mirror was whacked sideways and to the far right. My windshield was still very dirty with dirty towel streaks in it. Was it worth it? Vacuuming was good. I don't know about the rest and the sense of violation with my console box the way it was. I hope this was a one off..., I've always liked this place but for $30 plus tip I think I can do this myself! read more

Went to get the platinum service 1/10/24 for $42 today inside and outside wash and service. Truck was muddy and salesman said no worries we've seen worse. They ran it through twice and it was still dirty, inside and out. They don't take pride in their work and can care less. I had to leave for a meeting so will have to return to see about a refund. It's a car wash - there I said something positive. Machine work as they should & my truck is cleaner. I'm a member of their wash club, so I've been to quite a few of them. My usual routine is wash, then grab a couple of towels to wipe the water off. An employee grabs them from my hands and says you can't use them, It's against policy. Ok , so snatching them out of my hands is unnecessary. Just ask for them. "You can talk to the mgr" so I do. Manager tells me "oh it's a safety thing, you could have glass shards on your truck and damage the next car that we use them on" huh, what?? So you guys just washed the truck and would have cleared any potential glass shards right? The manager replies "if you want you can pay $18 for an interior wash and we'll towel off the car" - as he turns and walks away. Ok, no excuse is better than a lame excuse. He shrugged his shoulders when I made a comment about the grabbing the towels out of my hand. I treat people with respect and expect employees & management of business to do the same. My Jeep has an empty gas canister on the side and today I was told that it cannot go through the car wash. Absolutely terrible management and staff. I'm disputing this charge with my bank because my car is still dirty--there are dirt spots everywhere and smeared marks inside and out. I had no problem pulling into a space to vacuum my vehicle. The vacuums easily reach all corners inside and outside most vehicles. Going thru the wash process was easy too. There's no heavy-handed push to upgrade the wash you choose. Going thru the wash is pretty quick. The only thing I don't like is that my vehicle doesn't leave truly dry when things are done.  But for the price, it's a reasonable trade-off. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I've been going to Mister Car Wash since I got my first car when I was 18 back in 2014 and wow has this place gone downhill. Ever since they introduced the unlimited wash memberships, the standards of quality have suffered dramatically. I'm not expecting detailing here people but they don't even do the most basic of things like wipe the dashboard or console center or even wash the mats like they used to. There is dust EVERYWHERE inside my car right now after going through a wash and I'm a platinum member! Well good riddance, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Not to mention when I went back to ask why this was the case I was told they don't touch any of "that stuff". Like what? Ok, just got a car wash at Mister Car Wash and while I was not expecting a miracle for a work truck that was assigned to me. The truck was pretty dirty; however, I paid $40 for a wash and interior cleaning where some areas were not even cleaned. $40 includes some sort of dash protectant but the dash was not even touched. Neither were the doors and barely vaccummed. The windows were wiped with the same towels that were used to dry it off. Wtf? I managed a car wash before and owned an automotive customization shop and I can tell you from experience and years of training no one should be doing what they do to wipe your car down. The team here was super nice to us today on 11/16/24. I forgot names of the few people that helped but shout out to the girl with blonde hair who helped me get a free interior clean. I had driven to the other location in RR and I had already paid before they told us they stopped doing interior services :( and that's what I wanted. the lady at that location couldn't even issue me a refund and stated I had to call corporate (smh). We went ahead and got the ext washed. So I drive to this location on Research blvd, find out they can't do interior by itself since we already washed the exterior! Another pickle situation! The lady with blonde hair talked to her manager for me and they gave us a free interior so I didn't have to pay again. Thank you guys a lot, I appreciated the sentiment and service. DO NOT GO HERE! Their machines will badly damage your car and they will not take accountability. Our car suffered major damage on the front panels that were blatantly caused by the wiping motions of the washing machines. We filed a claim and the management tried to ignore us, hoping we'd go away. We kept calling, escalated the claim to senior management, and wrote poor online reviews. It wasn't until 2 weeks after our claim was submitted that the manager called us. He didn't apologize for the delay in response, said they weren't taking liability, and that the claim was closed - all this without even looking at the car to evaluate damage or explaining to us what their process was to assess if the car wash was at fault. What a shady, unethical business. I'm not the only one. There are numerous reviews that say the exact same thing! They should be shut down. read more

I've been coming here off and forever and everyone has always been nice. This morning I was cut off on the freeway and the three venti coffees I had just picked up spilled all over my floor board. I was 20 min from my house and had no napkins, towels etc. I remembered that this car wash was about an exit away so headed there just as they opened. When I pulled in I told them what happened and they said they didn't have a service that would get the coffee out of carpet floor mats but they grabbed a ton of towels and cleaned all the coffee up and then vacuumed the floor! I took my corvette to Mister Car Wash on Burnet Rd yesterday. The assistant manager helped me pay for the wash and I was ushered in to the wash. As I entered the rear diffuser was torn off my rear bumper. They took an incident investigation and today tell me there is nothing they can do as it was an aftermarket part! No signs indicating dangers for low cars and the assistant manager ushered me in. Now I am having to go to corporate and perhaps a legal path. read more

I love Mister Car Wash I can honestly say I haven't had a bad experience yet. Of course today there were a lot of cars there when I arrived but I didn't mind waiting they say patience is a virtue, overall the whole experience for me from start to finish was only 20 min I also have the $29.99 unlimited membership I absolutely love it (hot shine wax, wheel polish, tire shine,repel shield, underbody wash) my car always look amazing. The staff are friendly as well everyone waves at you upon entering the lane, I also love it because there are Mister Car washes everywhere so no matter what city I'm in I'm going to get a car wash even if I don't need one. DON'T GO HERE FOR INTERIOR VACUUM/CLEANING. When I had a Ford Festa the crew would do a great job. I switched over to a really nice sports car and EVERY time I take my new car in for interior cleaning, they miss several areas. I previously called the location manager and their corporate office to complain but no one got back to me or even offered a free cleaning on my next visit. Terrible customer service. I went today with my husband to see if it was an issue with women being provided services but to my surprise, they did an even worst job with him with me. My 6 year old Godson had spilled chips in my back seat and they didn't even vacuum it AT ALL. There were also several areas on the dashboard and cup holders that had small spills that weren't cleaned. Of course we pointed it out but even after vacuuming they left crumbs and didn't clean the spills. Their claims of "escalating" the complaint to their manager, regional manager, etc are lies and they are hoping you give up and stop calling. Before I entered the wash I asked if my truck met their qualifications. They insured me it did, even though I had a rack on top. I trusted them as they said they would turn off the top brushes to prevent damage. They never turned off the top brushes and it ripped my rack off, scratched my truck, dented my truck topper, destroyed my fly rod case, and broke all my fly rods. Around $5,000 in damage which they admitted was completely their fault. However, they aren't covering a penny. You read that right... they admitted operator error and that it was their fault. It has been 8 days of attempts to speak to someone to settle the matter and they have never returned a call or email. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more
