I drove up from south Austin to revisit this car wash, it was my go-to when I lived up north. Wash is still fine, but the free vacuums were the real reason to go out of my way. They used to be free and packed, now they're $1.50 for 3 minutes and completely empty. Can't tap to use them either, so it's a lost cause if you've stopped carrying physical cards or coins with you. Did the $13 deluxe wash with added gloss but there were still many dirty spots still on my car afterward. The vacuums are NOT free, they're $1.25 in quarters only for like 3 minutes at a time. Such a rip off since the vacuums are such bad quality and barely pull up hair/debris. Who carries coins anymore? Also you're asked to tip twice, once while prepaying for the Carwash and once at the end but you can't tell the quality of the service until you actually pull over and take a look at your car. I liked that they hand dry your car but I'm not sure if that's included in every purchase tier. Hopefully it is. Overall, low quality average drive thru car wash. I have never gone to this car wash before, but I was impressed. I love that you can purchase your wash ahead of time. Then you scan the barcode, and the gate lifts up for you. There was a line for the wash, but after yesterday's storm, everyone's cars were filthy. The line moved steadily. A guy sprayed the car with soap and ran a brush around it before I even went into the car wash interior. Then it was a blur of soap and scrubbers. Would give zero if I could, rude staff, bad wash, and scratched my paint. Don't go here, steer clear. Follow up from owner after I called to address terrible experience; "I can assure you that didn't happen at the wash," our machine's brushes don't move that way. The wash itself is great. The customer service is horrible. I've been through this wash multiple times and without fail, there is one worker that will harass me for 'not leaving a tip'. Mind you, there is an option for you to leave a tip on the machine and I have ALWAYS done. Comments through the driver window about 'no tip?' Or 'really? Nothing for me?' It's wildly ridiculous and unacceptable. We will no longer be using this wash for this reason alone. This is the third consecutive time that these remarks have been yelled through my window AFTER leaving a tip. read more

My fam typically washes our vehicles at home ourselves, but we are out of town and the car was getting gross-- especially the windshield. So we swung by Palms cuz it had good reviews. Chose to utilize their automatic drive-thru service, lowest tier at $8. We had a big truck ahead of us in line but the process went quick and the fella with the high-pressure nozzle was thorough yet efficient with the suds. Typical rollers and spray inside with a blow dry at the end. Came out with crystal clear windows and squeaky clean. Nice! As a heads up, they do a deal on Wednesdays that gets you $3 off higher wash levels. The drive-thru accepts both cash and credit card. read more

Ok three stars in that the place is older and needs some up keep. But for the money it did the trick. Plus up for the attendants who were cheerful and helpful. They took pride in their work. The main deduction was for the vacuum being under powered. No real issues went for a car wash. After paying compatible price, the car got washed and after a lot of effort got most of the dirt out with the weak vacuums. I have used Palms across Austin (Brodie and 183 locations) this location is a disservice to their brand name. The vacuum couldn't pick up dust - absolutely no suction (not to mention no air to loosen debris like other locations) , the car wash left blue/purple reside on my car. I like Palms but this location is as a waste of money. read more

Y'all really need to start telling the workers specially the older guys to do their job right, I don't pay for a diamond membership to not have my wheels cleaned properly before rolling into the car wash. Last time I gave this a place a good 5 star rating because od the free vacuums and probably because I washed my car..This time I went through the drive through carwash and needless to say I was highly disappointed..I was charged on my credit card for 13.99 for the top level carwash which includes all the perks including tire dressing..Well the car got half washed, dirt was left on 50% of the car and the guy who uses the towels to wipe the car down didn't even bother to say anything about it..After looking the car over I see that my tires are not done and wheels have dirt all over them... I could've went to Genie car wash and got a better job done for 10 bucks.. Call the number and there was no answer..The service wasn't rendered so I feel that I'm due for a refund.. read more

I got my car washed here and the first time it did not come as I wanted, and I called the manager. He was very responsive, drove from south Austin to investigate and refund me. Part of them problem was bug spray not being on and the tire shine had spun on my car and caused some spotting. After putting it through without the tire shine the car is looking good. Though they made a little mistake, it says a lot about a place when the manager is so responsive to issues and I take back my negative review. read more

This is a busy carwash with several self clean stalls, automatic washes, shampoo stations, FREE vacuums, and attendants that dry your car after the automatic wash at certain times. The 1st and last vacuum suction is weak but the others work very well. read more

Not sure the deal with shitty car washes in Austin, but every place I checked out on Yelp had bad reviews. Ended up across town and happy that Yelp came through for me. For $8, Palms Car Wash gave me a fast and decent automatic car wash. They sprayed my car down thoroughly and hand dried it. Well worth it for the price plus tip. They had free vacuums, too. This might have to be my car wash spot unless I can find something closer to Downtown. read more

GREAT place for a car cleaning. Overall the vacuums and products they give you to clean the inside of your car is why people keep coming back. The car wash itself is average but they add some fun lights and always do themed washes (ex: haunted car wash) the drying system needs to be updated or have more people dryers to help. I'm happy I found a good car wash for my pretty new car. On Wednesday you get $3 off either of the two top tier packages, so I got the $13 wash for $10 today. It didn't get every stubborn spot off, but overall was a good wash, with a nice shiny finish (no water spots!) I've been to TOO MANY drive through car washes that really don't do much, so I'm happy to have found this Parmer location which isn't too far from home. read more

So after the manager replay to my complaint I went for a redo , the people there first say he is not the owner of this place and and second they told me to call the manufacture of the machine which is ridicules , i hope the manager be more serious with the staff as because of this they will keep lose customers like my self . This is the only place in Austin that I have found a car was with vacuums so far. You also have an option to run your car through their car wash or do it yourself with the drive in washes. They have maintained this place quite well so you do not see rust on any of the machinery or trash flying around. It's located conveniently right off the road so you can pull in and out quite easily. read more

Nothin like a good ol car wash. The drive through car wash was easy to use and an employee came over to help even though I didn't need help. Sometimes my tire is hard to get in the thing and it will scrape on my tire, but this one was easy to maneuver into. There were 4 different washes you could get, I got the $11 one, and the most expensive was the $13 with all the bells and whistles. Not a bad price, right? If you are a DYI-er then you can pull up into a booth and it's about 1.75 to start (not sure for how long or how many quarters it will actually take). Reasonable prices and it's only a 3 minute wash. I washed my car and it rained the same day (yesterday). I came back the next morning and was told they don't do rain checks. Not even within 24hrs. Went in today for a car wash and completely disappointed. Left with a scratch and scuff on my car bug guts still on the front of the car. My husband has gone in the past and got a great clean. I was just yelled at by a worker that did not know how to operate a automatic car in neutral through the machine. He told me to shut up, yelling at the top of his lungs and refused to provide his name however was the only worker on site at 15:07 08/18/21. He also did not allow me to complete my car wash because he was yelling so loud about putting my car into neutral when I showed him my dashboard and the care was in neutral. (Which I would like a refund, however I know I will not get it) I even apologized if I had made a mistake and instead of helping me he asked if I am even listening to him. Sir, yes I was listening to you, I even opened my door to show you my car was in neutral. Just to put this in perspective after asking him to not be aggressive and that I am feeling extremely threatened he continues to yell at me shut up, in which I had saliva on my face from his projection. I went there for the first time yesterday and did the drive through car wash. As I went through there was an employee at the front who sprayed soap all over the car. At the end we're a few guys to wipe the car. In the middle was a powerful cleaning machine. Not yo mamas car wash! There also are self serve stalls for do it yourself. I've been to a few other car washes in the area - this is the best drive-through car wash I've been to. Other ones (like Arbor Car Wash on Jollyville) left my car looking streaky, spotty and not even really clean. They also don't include a wax, which Palms does, even for their basic wash (which honestly is what I usually get) for $8. Arbor's basic car wash is $7. Already an improvement. And the attendants at Palms on Parmer take their time drying your car, which in the dusty environment that is Austin, is very necessary or your car immediately looks like crap right after. The free vacuums are also a huge plus. You also don't feel rushed to leave immediately b/c of cramped space - you can pull over and do your own detailing, usually, or pull up to a vacuum. This is my fav. drive-through car wash, hands down. Just b/c it's quick doesn't mean it doesn't do a good job. read more
