I'm not going to quote prices because as we all know, prices change but again, I've been to places that charged $120.00, $150.00, even $200.00 and they could come close to doing the job Melvin's did. And the car was completely dry, smelled like new on the interior and even had heavy throw away floor mats put in place. The staff is full of adults, not kids and they intend on delivering a quality job!

Example: my car wouldn't start, and after having it for two days they told me it needed a new ignition. I told them I didn't think that was the issue based on the symptoms I had described. In the end, they said it was a bad coil, which is believable. However, they also sold me a new battery (over $200, even though my original was only 8 months old), new plugs, and just one coil, for a total of over $1,000. OUCH. And remember, they were originally going to charge me for an ignition too. I paid and told them I was done after they tried to get another $1,000 out of me. When I got my car back, the blower fuse for the A/C and heat was blown and they hadn't even replaced it. Bottom line: remember, they're parts changers. They used to be good until they changed management a few years ago.

For weeks, I had been trying to figure out what was causing the check engine light on my van. I…read moretook it to autozone, advance, O'Reilly's, and each code came out different. One said it was the MASS Airflow sensor, another said it was the PCV Valve, and one said it was the van's computer and that I'd likely need to order a new one. The problem was that I changed the Mass airflow sensor previously and knew that wasn't it. Also knew it wasn't the pvc valve. The computer was the only one I thought it could be and I was worried because that's a costy project. But I still wasn't certain. I considered taking it to a Ford dealership to have them run a diagnostic, but after finding out they wanted $130 just to look at it, I decided against. I found Witts from a suggestion from a lady at O'Reilly's and boy am I glad I took her advice when I asked if she knew any good honest mechanics. After running a diagnostic, they determined it was likely just a vacuum hose leak and then they ran a smoke test. Turns out it was just my gas cap that needed replaced! I highly recommend Witts for any work done you need on your vehicle. They're real good folks that'll treat you right.
