To all San Antonio residents- Do NOT use Mr. Sparky (electricians) ‼‼ I will try to keep this brief. 1) Mr. Sparky- Came out to replace an $80 breaker in main breaker box. First electrician replaced 3 outlets and one switch. Never checked the circuit beaker in the main breaker box. Seven days later the lights went off again. Offered us 5 payment options- Platinum, Gold, Silver, Tin, and Bandaid (which I felt was derogatory). Platinum= $65,000, but he was quick to add that that price including a whole home generator. I am NOT joking. $65,000 to rewire the entire house. We selected the Bandaid- $994. Second electrician came out. Checked and replaced burned circuit breaker in main breaker. Problem solved of some lights going off in house. Bandaid= $500; We elected to have him install a whole home surge protector= $550. So $2,044 to replace 3 outlets, 1 switch (both of which we did not need), 1 circuit breaker, and 1 surge protector. And five calls to talk to a supervisor before he returned my call. And the first electrician flirted with my wife and talked politics. read more

Visiting my daughters in Dallas, and needed some lights fixed in our condo. I called Mr Sparky, left a message, received a prompt call back, and scheduled for the next day! Eric showed up right on time, fixed the lights and checked out some other electrical issues. He was courteous, explained all the work he did, and I will definitely call them again if needed! We called on Friday to have someone out due to two rooms in the house not having power. Between the time we called and the appointment, the breaker on our furnace tripped and we were left with no heat. When the electrician showed up we had him look at the tripped breaker along with the other problem. We were told by Chaz that the breaker was okay to flip back on and run our heater. The heater was also producing a dead animal smell. He told us to call the heater people out. Also told us to continue to flip the breaker if it tripped again. Quoted us $407 to replace the breaker but never told us not to use it. The breaker is a Federal Pacific Stab Loc, which are known fire hazards. We called the heating people out and flipped the breaker so they could smell. No problems with heater and we called for Mister Sparky back out. On the next visit we were then told it would be $1099 to replace the breaker. When the breaker was opened and actually looked at it was charred and only one switch back on, from setting fire to our house. There was no concern from the supervisor on the phone for the fact that we were left with a major safety issue and still insisted on the second price quoted. After repeatedly telling him it was an issue that should have been caught prior and that we were left with the possibility of a fire due to Chaz not recognizing the smell of burning electricity!! He finally agreed to $633, which was still over the initial quote. Nobody at your company wanted to take responsibility that they missed a major fire hazard and left it or that there employee missed something so major. Extremely disappointed and will never recommended your service. read more

As with every home contractor, we are skeptical on their performance. This was one of the experiences that started and ended without any problems. The Electrician who came out to our house exceeded our expectations. He called 15 mins before he arrived. He wore disposable shoes in our house. He was very knowledgeable and provided us with all the recommended repairs without pushing for the services to be completed that day. We will be using Mister Sparky more often. read more

Service guy was friendly. Charged $300 just to diagnose the problem, he was at our house for an hour. Wanted $279 to fix the problem. We declined and did our research. Cost us $24 to do it ourself. He also was going to charge a service fee on top of everything else. Little much for a simple fix. Won't be calling them again. read more

Called to make an appointment and the woman on the phone was very quick and professional. They were able to fit us in the following Saturday and were given a 8-11am window. At 8:10am Tyler Crippin showed up with a friendly smile. We showed him the issue and he quickly went to work. He was kind and professional and worked quickly and efficiently. He replace the outlet that had burned out and checked the wiring. Then he went around the other side of the wall and checked those outlets that were out. He was already ahead of the game by not hitting on me like the last electrician that came to the house (see my review for Echeverria Brothers Electric), but his respectful manner and efficient work style really won us over. After he completed the work, we asked him if he had some time to look over some other issues. He said he did and we showed him two issues, one of which he was able to fix there quickly and the other which would have been more work and lots more money. He provided us a very well laid out detailed quote breaking down the different prices which I really appreciate. He wore booties inside the whole time even though he had to go back and forth between the front of the house with the damaged outlet and the back where the circuit breakers were. We would definitely use Tyler and Mr Sparky again. read more
