The storm that came through 5-28-24 caused a tree to fall on our electric line. When this happened it pulled our electric meter away from our house. We were told by Oncor that we would have to have an electrician come out to replace the meter box before our power could be restored. The first company I called gave me two quotes. The first quote was to bring all of our electric "up to date". That quote was over $12,000. The second quote he gave was only for what was required to be done (which is what I had called them out for) and that quote was over $7,000. A friend suggested I contact Puckett Electric and I am so glad I did. The team from Puckett came out and did the work for $1800. They were efficient, friendly and got the job done in a timely manner. Very quick response and repair for my request. Excellent value and great service.

Breaker went out and simple reset didn't seem to work. Called Puckett and someone picked up the phone quickly. Explained my issue and the gentlemen kindly confirmed whether or not I had unplugged everything going to that breaker. I had not. He asked I unplug everything and try again as it is a common fix and would save us both time and money. The gentlemen patiently waited while I unplugged everything and reset the breaker with a 10 sec pause. Breaker turned right on. I requested a quote for services through Yelp and Todd replied very promptly to discuss the electrical issues. We booked an appointment for the next day, which Todd arrived promptly (even early!) for. This was especially nice since the electrician we'd booked for the previous day no-showed their appointment. Todd fixed our garbage disposal switch and switch plate (which had broken off), ensured it was in working order, and even asked if there was anything else that needed to be looked at. We had an outlet that never had power and he fixed that too! He was quick, affordable, and dependable. Hired the right company with a real passion for their job! Needed some work done on our electrical panel in the basement. Cleaned up some old wiring and fixed some switches that had been messed up for some time. I've had Puckett's out to the house several times, Matt always does a good job. Being a mom an pop type of company you will have minor issues. they don't call you back when they say they will, Don't have the man power to get some one out for a couple days,or out quickly during an emergency. I spoke with Todd on the phone and made an appointment to meet me for an estimate and was a no show. My advise is, when you speak with them make an official appointment, otherwise they may not follow up with you. read more

This family business has been our "go to" company for many years. First they don't charge for estimates. Their prices are fair. They come when they say they are going to. And lastly, They are honest. Example: we had several plugs that stopped working after one of the storms last week. They suggested on the telephone that I look in the breaker box for a tripped breaker...no. Then told me to see if there was one of those plugs that have the little button, in the garage ...yes. I pushed it, problem solved. No charge.
