Horrible Service.Food was cold. Not even close to the VIP service you get at Top Golf. They charge you just as much but you definitely don't get what you pay for. Too many servers in your orders. Repeating and waiting.... We ordered pretzels and artichoke dip and they were out of both items.. How are you not going to have items in your menu? Our cookie with icecream took 30 minutes and the cookie was burnt. Although the owner came and apologized we were not impressed. read more

I love going here. I don't usually eat there so can't rate the food. I enjoy the technology and it's better than hitting into a screen. I gave it 4 stars only due their website reservations. It's terrible! Upgrade this website that lets u see your upcoming reservations. Once u register, choose your date, time and bay, it makes u sign in and then once u do, it erases all your choices and defaults back to a 30 min. session, any bay! Set it up to be able to sign in FIRST, choose all the time/bay/date, and be done with it! I can't tell u how many times I reserved a bay, then sign in and then it defaults to a blank reservation. It's a very poor website reservation system. But I still play there twice a wk! It's just the online reservations that suck. read more

I recently had a driver fitting at the Mistwood Golf Dome and was really impressed by their staff and the overall experience. About 2 months ago I was fit for a set of irons at a nearby golf course and had a good experience there but the job they did at Mistwood blew that away. I worked directly with Eric on my actual fitting but it started during the week leading up with the other fitter Chris. He called me up and we had about a 20 minute chat about what I was looking for out of the fitting and what to expect. The guys are very accessible and responsive to questions I had before and after the fitting. On my fitting day I worked directly with Eric and he was great, he was very knowledgeable about all the brands and kept handing me clubs to try, even those that I hadn't thought of hitting. He was also very patient and didn't try and change my swing at all but instead fit the best club to my current swing. I hit all of the top brands and even a few others, that was worth the price in itself. They use a Trackman Launch monitor which many consider to be the best monitor for collecting data. We spent a long time getting a base line on several different head and shaft combinations. We then picked my 3 best and started tweaking them for different lofts and weights on each to dial them in. I actually left being fit into 2 different clubs for me to choose. All in all it was a great experience, the dome itself adds a whole level to it, most indoor fittings you hit into a net or screen that is 10 feet away, where at the dome you get to see about 100 yards of ball flight. I would highly recommend giving them a try. read more

Purchased a gift card in December as a gift for our son. Ran & charged our credit card 4 times- for 1 gift card. Apologized but it took over a week to straighten out the multiple charges. Then, our son goes to use the gift card today, and it doesn't work. Manager finally pushed it through. Seems very unorganized & the credit card processing is poor. Dome itself is a good golf experience but given the amount of time it has taken to straighten out payment errors on multiple occasions, not inclined to go back. read more

Ok I like this place a lot. The new tracker system is easy to use once you get the hang of. The people at the counter gave me a quick run down on my first visit. After downloading the app on your phone you get a ton of info on club you hit ( I play a game called what's in your bag) I usually just my irons at a session and woods and hybrids at another. You can also play a course or just hit balls down the range. This is so much better then a indoor golf because you see the ball flight for almost 100 yards. The only drawback is this place is very busy. Today I got there at 8:57. They open at nine. And as I walked in there were about 10 bays already had people in them in about 30 minutes all the bays were full on both levels. Now between 9-12 weekdays there is a senior rate and believe me there are a lot of seniors. I was told that after 12 when the rate goes up it slows down. I have stopped there on the weekend and there was about a 45 minute wait. I haven't tried the restaurant yet but I seen the food and it look good. Food is good, golf dome is adequate but management is terrible. Do not leave your clubs on the rack and go in the restaurant because they will be stolen! Was there last Wednesday and hit some balls with a friend, we decided to go in to watch the Hawks game for a while and when we went to leave our clubs were gone. Management assured us they have camera's and would be able to check to see what happened but they did nothing. After promises to return our phone calls no one contacted us. Their response to this situation was absolutely terrible! They do not follow up if you have a problem. Not a happy customer. read more

I just have to comment on Rob V.'s review. He does not compare McQ's with any other dome, but compares it with outside hitting. Rob, of course every club past a SW hits the back, hence the name "Dome". Compare with other domes, not with an outside range. Secondly, McQ's bought this dome and pumped a bunch of money into it. It used to be Ditka Dome, and it was a dump then. Now the stalls are nice, balls are new and kept clean and there are 2 putting greens and a chipping area. Also, Rob, why don't you spend 5 or 10 minutes loosening up BEFORE you get the stall like most people do, wouldn't that be smarter? And the staff does not nickel and dime you, especially if you are nice to them and a repeat customer. If you compare McQ's with any other dome or even a non-dome like Top Golf, there is no comparison. Top Golf is expensive and the food does not even come close. In fact, at the one in Naperville you can't even hit a Driver, they purposefully do not give you a tall enough tee because they do not want you hitting a Driver (as if most hacks could hit one far enough or high enough to get over their nets). Rob, keeping with the theme of comparing domes to domes, how about White Pines? I used to go there when I lived in the city and it is a good place to hit balls. But there is NO sports bar. We go to McQ's sometimes just to eat because the BBQ is the best around. Mistwood Golf course bought McQ's and chef Jim oversees the menu there as well, best dry-rubbed wings, pulled pork and beef around, not to mention the burgers. Rob keep going, compared to Addison, Buffalo Grove or any other DOME, there is NO comparison. Show me a dome where you can hit a Driver all the way to the back. You are free to go out to your favorite range in February here and hit all the drivers you want read more
